• Newbie about adding narration questions

  Hello

  I use first 11 elements. I want to make a video with comments out of a sequence of photos. I have managed to add photos, but want to ask:

  (1) on a video tutorial I've seen some audio controls on the bar above the timeline. I do not see those - I just saw markers and tape recorder controls. How to activate audio controls?

  (2) I want to increase the time that some of these pictures are displayed for the. I tried dragging the right edge of the picture on the right, but appears not to have changed the duration. How do I do that?

  Please post a link to the video tutorial that you are using as a guide. In the meantime... If you want to create

  a clip of narration for a picture, then place the indicator in the timeline to the location of the timeline where you want as the narrative to go.

  Then

  a. narrative/tab of tools at the bottom of the workspace Expert.

  or

  b. Tools at the top of the workspace Expert Narration/Menu.

  In both cases, hitting the Narration will bring a dialog box of the storytelling tool for the creation of your narration.

  duration.

  You can also set the still Image default duration in the preferences before importing photos.

  You can right-click in the photo on the timeline, select Time Stretch, and then change the duration in the Time Stretch dialog box.

• Newbie has a quick question and a follow-up

  I want to install Backup Exec and we add the Microsoft domain administrator account for VSphere authorizations, yet he doesn't see Microsoft Active Directory. I was not able to actually enter the VSphere server again to check this, only through the client, but I suspect it is simply because the VSPhere server has not been added to the domain. It is likely, or would - this something else?

  Small follow-up question: If this is the solution, and we add the VSphere server to the domain and it reboot, which will have no effect on the virtual machines running, will it?

  It has to do with what we call 'internment of string", which is a slightly advanced topic and you will probably never need to worry.

  Always test for equality of strings with string1.equals("asd") and no operator ==.

  Hello:

  I'm happy to have my first opportunity to use conditional text, but I have some questions before you begin to implement. I read the online help and reviewed my old copy of Classroom in a Book , and I feel good. With the help of a test file, I created my conditional tags, applied and experimented with show/hide tags.

  My question is about the final look of the tagged text: it remains in that color or it revert to automatic (black) color. In other words, I have tagged my magenta conditional text. When I show conditional text, it's magenta. What should I do so that when I print to PDF, the tagged text is black instead?

  I'm sure it's something simple, but I can't seem to find the answer myself. As a junior writer, I get so much information just by reading all the questions and answers on this forum.

  I am currently using v8.0p277 on Windows XP.

  You are right. It's simple. In the dialog where you define what to show and what to hide, there is a box to check something like show condition indicators. When you select this, the indicators (in other words, the colors and less or overlining) show. Turn it off, and they do not. The text displays and prints as if no conditions had been applied.

• Newbie on color/contrast question

  I placed ads in a newspaper black and white (gray scale). The ads previously digitized images and I got their quality high resolution. JPG. I don't have access to the original files. When they printed, some of the ads were not too bright that I wanted. I have them open in Photoshop and discovered that blacks are not 100% black. Some were 90%, some as low as 40%. They looked fine on my screen and the laser printer proofs, but on paper, they were not quite dark. I want to increase to 100% blacks. I'm a Photoshop newbie, so the only solution I can find is to open each of these ads and use the Curves tool to all blacks pull up to 100% while leaving the white part of the spectrum only. I don't know I'm using the Curves tool correctly. Do not argue the point, but here are a few screenshots of before and after.

  If you look closely, you can see the curves. Bassically I pulled to the top of the curve to 100% black and just left the point furthest to the left, where it is (which I assume is the white part of the spectrum).

  Sorry disturbing you - but I did a lot of reading and am still confused.
  
  I was asked to create a new tablespace:
  
  create tablespace xyz datafile 'oradata/corpdata/xyz.dbf' size 2048M extent management local size unique 1023M;
  
  alter tablespace xyz add datafile ' / oradata/corpdata/xyz.dbf' size 2048M;
  
  Despite being worried not given information about the data to load or why the tablespace must be sized that way - I was told to just 'do it '.
  
  Someone tried to load data - and there was a message in the alerts log.
  
  ORA-1652: unable to extend temp by 65472 segment in tablespace xyz
  
  We do not use autoextend on data files even if the person loading the data would be so (they are new on the environment).
  
  The database is on a cold backup nightly routine - we are in a rock anvil - we have no space on the server - to make RMAN and only 10 G left on the Strip for (Veritas) backup routine and thus control space with no autoextend management.
  
  As far as I know of the above error message is that the storage space is not large enough to hold the load data - but I was told by the person who imports the data they have it correctly dimensioned and it something I did when the database create order (although I have cut and pasted from their instructions - and I adapted to our environment - Windows 2003 SP2 but 32 bits).
  
  The person called to say I had messed up their data loading and was about to make me their manager for failing to do my job - and they did and my line manager said that I failed to correctly create the tablespace.
  
  When this person was asked to create the tablespace I asked why they thought that extensions should be 1023M and said it was a large data load that must be inserted to a certain extent.

  1023M is very much - this means that you have only four extents in the tablespace until it reaches capacity.

  Assuming a block size of 8 KB, 65472 would be 511 MB. However, as it is a GIS database, my guess is that the database block size itself has been set to 16K, then 65472 is 1023MB.

  What load data is done? Oracle Export dump? Which includes a CREATE INDEX statement?
  Export-Import is a CREATE TABLE and INSERT so that you would get an ORA-1652 on it. So you get ORA-1652 if the array is created.
  However, you will get an ORA-1652 on an INDEX to CREATE the target segment (ie the Index) for this operation is initially created as a 'temporary' segment until the Index build is complete when it switches to be a 'temporary' to be a segment of "index".

  Also, if parallelism is used, each parallel operation would attempt to assign degrees of 1023 MB. Therefore, even if the final index target should have been only, say 512 MB, a CREATE INDEX with a DEGREE of 4 would begin with 4 extensions of 1023 MB each and would not decrease to less than that!

  A measure of 1023 MB size is, in my opinion, very bad. My guess is that they came up with an estimate of the size of the table and thought that the table should be inserted in 1 measure and, therefore, specified 1023 MB in the script that is provided to you. And it is wrong.

  Same Oracle AUTOALLOCATE goes only up to 64 MB extended when a Segment reached the mark of 1 GB.

  We do not want anyone on the E1 - WAP to access what anyone at the Church Office.   I have a configuration below script that works very well to meet our requirements, but as soon as I run one of the following commands, I'm more able to access the unit via a Web page:

  Select all items in the illustration, then go to object > live paint > make. Press K to switch to the Live Paint Bucket tool and make sure that the fill sample is none (red diagonal line). Now click any field you want to be transparent.

  Your problem is using the same name for functions.  You must use different names for the various functions.  And if a function can be used several times, by different keyframes objects, then the service must be placed on a layer that spans the length of the schedule without interruption so that it can be shared by these objects.  I usually create actionscript diferent layers... one for scripts shared (functions and variables) and one for the specific actions in the frame (stop () s, assignments, etc.)

  Event listeners are will be assigned to the objects where they exist in the timeline.  The event handler functions can exist anywhere on a timeline as long as they are accessible.

  I don't think you can check only one color with InDesign preflight.

  But you can do it in other words:

  Define a spot color that looks at cyan and use this cyan instead.
