  I am trying to run a powershell script from a file cmd with the snap of VMware has added. Here's what I'm trying to run:

  If there is a reason that you do not add the Add-PSSnapin VMware.VimAutomation.Core as the first line of your script, then you can run it as below:

  C:\WINDOWS\system32\windowspowershell\v1.0\powershell.exe - PSConsoleFile "C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\VIToolkitForWindows\vim.psc1" "& C:\MyScript.ps1 '"

• How to run multiple Powershell scripts in PowerCLI

  I have a large number of scripts that I would run into lots of PowerCLI. I found a way to call some Powershell scripts from a file of commands like the following (with the permission of Jan Egil Ring), which works very well except for scripts PowerCLI where a connection to a VC or ESX Server must be established before the script can be executed:

  PowerShell-command '& C:\MyScripts\script1.ps1 '.

  PowerShell-command '& C:\MyScripts\script2.ps1 '.

  PowerShell-command '& C:\MyScripts\script3.ps1 '.

  If a VC connection is on using Connect-VIServer PowerCLI, then scripts can each be run from the prompt without connection information and credentials, however, if scripts are placed in a file of DOS commands, it is necessary to place an order Connect-VIServer in each script, which will prompt you for credentials every time , so if I have 10 scripts, I will have to enter the credentials of 10 times.   2 options 1 persist credentials on disk, you can find the code on poshcode.org to do.

  Option 2 is to use - Session when using Connect-VIServer. The session is stored in the variable $defaultVIServer. If write you it to a file you can load this file and re-use this same session, assuming that it is still valid (i.e. it has not expired.)

Then he said: it is read-only, and when I remove it, the icon is still there. I tried to turn on/off the device, and it's still there. Thought this one myself. I plugged it up to the Desktop Manager and all of a sudden all the photos I had taken appeared. I was also able to delete using the "BlackBerry" button and then "delete". It doesn't give me that read this option.

  Saving images: So, for some reason I can't save more photos. I don't know even how I saved the first 12 photos I have taken... but now it won't save any more. What the hell happened? xD I have a 2GB card in my phone... surely these 12 images didn't fill in this card... Thought this one myself.   If you select an icon, click the menu button and choose move. You can rearrange the icons. The icons in the top 5 on the list will be those along the boittom when not looking at the full home screen.

• Newbie question - passing variables (aka why this work?)

  I spent a few hours in vain trying to pass the value of a html text box to a coldfusion page 2nd via the URL (query string).

  However, it seems that I can't do this because the 2nd page seems to be able to reference the value in box of text in any case.  My question is: is this a coincidence, or is this the normal procedure, things work?  When I click the "Run report" button, everything I typed in the text box appears on the screen of page2.cfm.  I thought I should pass this value somehow (via the variables session or the URL string or something).

  So my newbie question is: is this the way it should work (a simple answer Yes or no is fine)?  A text from one box. CFM file can reference the value of text box on the other. CFM page? Thanks in advance

  (2) if I do not need to install it, given that my email is already working with BES, and the Office installation configures email settings, how do I keep the new Desktop install to mess up the current configuration of e-mail?

  Of all the notes of support on the software, looks like more trouble whereas at this stage.  I really need to treat it?

  There is not much need of DTM, but it is convenient to update the OS of your BB. Sometimes there will be releases of minor bugs corrections and such to your BB - DTM will be meaningless and install them, while updating wireless could not detect them. For a major OS update, you want DTM, as it will do a backup/complete restoration of your BB, including configuration settings, and others so that you don't have to redo those. But, to your e-mail, calendar, contacts, etc. - you are right, it is useless given that your Exchange Server is actually your master with your BB being actually a backup of that (in a sense).

  In addition, USB drivers (which are part of the package DTM) are necessary in order to charge your BB via your laptop USB. You can download and install all the USB drivers if this is the only part of the DTM you want.

  When you install it, it will ask if you are in a company - say Yes and it will install properly. Installation when your PC is connected to your corporate network and your Outlook is open. Who will get the best and fastest configuration. When you install, do not let it select the functions of auto-launch... If you wish, attach your BB and manually run the DTM.

  Basically, on the whole, I vote 'YES'. You get the USB charging. You can save if you wish. You get the device OS and other updates. Most of the reported problems are people using it to synchronize via USB things - you won't do that because most of your stuff will be syncing via BES OTA. Other things, you can simply drag-and - drop (music, videos, etc.). .. .follow these instructions (use the latest 5.0 DTM):

  I've been running Windows Home Server on an old Dell Zion (Yes - quite pokey), I see that Dell has many things on an I3 PowerEdge T110 II. I did a lot of search in the online documentation and manuals, but have a few unanswered questions:

  o the server has a built-in SATA controller? The manual says 6 SATA connectors, but when I tried to configure the server for the purchase, it was persistent to choose me a PERC controller card. If there is a controller of the motherboard, will it be enough?

  o once again, trying to set up with UEFI boot, he said conflicts in configuration. I am the command without hard drives, but to use an existing drive to 4 TB. I'm going to need to configure GBT and will require UEFI, I think. Is this a problem?

  o any person aware of all the problems with Windows Home Server 2011 running on this platform?

  They are sold individually as no disc/OSless as the default configuration. That's fine, but I wanted to buy a couple of company drives to go with it. When I tried to configure the system with hard drives, came when all configuration conflicts. I'll try to call tomorrow, but I think the community is generally better informed than the sales people. It looks like I'll buy the unit without disc and add my own records. Recommendations for hard disks that are reasonably reliable (and cheaper than Dell)? I want to run RAID 1.

  Yes, he does. Don't forget to check the Onboard SATA under hard disk Configuration option. If you enable RAID, you will get the S100 controller... let off RAID and use RAID software Windows instead.

  You can't order a server without a disk (see below *). If you plan to use your own, order it with the most small/less expensive available drive, then swap later. You have NO need to specify a UEFI/BIOS at the time wherever you order the server if you intend to swap the hard drive or install the OS yourself.

  I don't see any, other than the fact that he didn't is not officially "supported", so you may run into issues at some point, but I suspect that there won't be any.

  * You said they sell it "diskless", which I have never seen. If you can, great, but if not, see my comment above. Business records are only needed if you use enterprise-class RAID controllers. Do not use the S100... is not (is not) a "business" class RAID solution

  'Real' RAID controllers (like the PERC 6 / i or H700) are not supported in the T110 II, so you don't ' really need to business records. Some have reported PERC 6/7 works to T110 II, but it is not supported, and if you choose to go this route, then make sure you have some good records designed for these controllers.

• Running Powershell script with ESXCLI commands via a scheduled task in Windows 2012 does not work.

  I'm trying to run a powershell script of a scheduled task in Windows 2012. The script calls the commands ESXCLI and ends with success (exporting to a CSV file) but the file has no data inside.  If I run the script manually without the scheduled task file has all the I expect to exit.

  I wonder if there is a framework with Powershell or a PSSnapin I need to add to the script for it to run via a scheduled task.  Has anyone done this before with the ESXCLI commands?

  panhvr - you may to something.  The process account that I use to run this script has only read-only access in vCenter.  I logged on the server I am running these reports with the process ID and tried to run the script.  He gave me errors indicating permission to perform the operations of esxcli was denied.

  I think we found the culprit!  I'll have this process ID in vCenter rights upward.

• Newbie question: how to extend in unallocated disk in a VM XP?

  Hi all:

  This is a newbie question, but looking for answers only left confused me...

  I have VM Fusion (v2.0.6) running on a MAC (OS X - Snow Leopard) with an XP VM. When the XP VM has been implemented, it has been implemented with 20 GB hard drive space. I used VM Ware Virtual Machine settings to increase the disk space of 50 GB. (I left the "pre-allocate disk space' and 'divide into 2 GB files' options unchecked.) I don't have any snapshots during execution/implementation.

  However, my current XP VM flashing me alerts "low disk space" - I see only about 1 GB of free 20 GB (I don't see the 40 GB listed in 'My Computer'). When I use the Services of management of disk in XP, I see a disk 0 20 GB System Partition with 30 GB of unallocated space.

  How can I extend the current Parition (System) in the space of 30 additional GB? And do I have I done this to begin with?

• How to run a Powershell script via a batch file

  I'm new on using Powershell and I have a fundamental question regarding running a powershell script. Basically, I wrote a file of commands as shown below.

  C:\WINDOWS\system32\windowspowershell\v1.0\powershell.exe - PSConsoleFile "C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\VIToolkitForWindows\vim.psc1" - NoExit-command "C:\MyScripts\RunSpanshot.ps1".

  I run the batch file and nothing seems to happen. What is the problem with trying to run the RunSpanshot.ps1 script as shown above? -any help is appreciated.
