  My iMac (late 2012 if I remember) restarts when under heavy load for a while.

  I work a lot with Final Cut Pro X.

  Whenever I have add clips in an event, Final Cut allows you to copy and then transcode and analyze the clips, and this task's CPU/GPU intensive (Final Cut Pro X uses OpenCL, where CPU/GPU). After a few seconds, the iMac fan begins to be really strong and seems to reach its maximum speed.

  Then, after a few minutes of this heavy burden, the iMac simply restarts, and the fan slows down and stop. After the reboot, everything is back to normal, with the exception of the warning illustrated by Mac OS X, who said that the closure was not planned.

  I'm sure that this behavior is not normal. I don't see why a computer should reboot/crash when under heavy load.

  Note: you can also, to transcode some clips or movies I used the excellent software called Handbrake, using CPU only encoder ffmpeg, and I don't remember having accidents even if the CPU has been loaded and FAN running loud too. So maybe it has something to do with GPU?

  How can I understand what is happening?

  I've had my computer since 2007/2008 now and I have came across a problem of dust. I cleaned it and it worked fine again. After I had finished, I moved my computer one meter or more. A day later when I curled the computer, everything was fine, I had a game running in the background. But when I came back, my computer has been cut, so I thought that my roommate turns off the computer. Didin't there do! Later when I started again, I came to the Startup Repair. I curled the computer, but when I came back, you guessed it: it was closed. I asked my roommate again and there still didin't make. Later, I used a live cd of Ubuntu to the backup on my hard drive computer internet. When he was done, I started the process of re - install my computer. Until I clicked on the button reinstall, I tried one last time. It worked! So he came with a "computer didin't work properly' or something. The resan was BlueScreen. So I tried to open the minidump file, but my programming program expired, so I couldn't open it. LARGE. Later, my computer said that it had no internet and icons started disppearing. It seemed that the hard drive has begun to be unloaded. I clicked on the icon and BOOM internet! My computer is turned off. No reset. Right next door. I feel this only when it is under heavy load. And I knew just the effect "unload" 2 times. Other times, the screen goes black and the power light is still on for like 5 seconds and then shut the computer completely, it also occurs on the effect "unload"!

  Why Microsoft removed the ability for Windows Vista to install on herself from one location other than being inside the BONE you want to repair.

  I recently had a problem where Vista Business 64-bit would only boot to a black screen with a mobile cursor - KSOD.   Who, in searching the Web I found is a fairly common problem with Vista.  I discovered that my only option was about to reinstall Vista CLEAN and all the other programs I had installed under it.  I can't believe that Microsoft released the 'repair installation option"similar to that of Windows XP, where you can hit the"R"key during installation and we left with nothing but the"System Restore"options and"Startup Repair ".  Neither of which has helped in my situation.  Since then, this was a dual system boot with XP Pro, then any restore point has been removed from the partition to Vista anytime, I started another recognized problem, by Microsoft, which Microsoft has made no significant effort to fix, in addition to recommending that you hide the partion Vista in XP - a whole of XP.  That beats a little the entire purpose of dual boot.

  As I tried to start in safe mode, it left me at the same point as a normal boot - black screen with a cursor.  I tried ctrl + alt + delete and nothing. Two Windows RE options did not help me.  This left me no option but to the completely reinstall Vista.   Why Microsoft did remove the ability for Windows Vista to install on herself from one location other than being inside the BONE you want to repair.. Please don't tell me that it is because Vista uses an image file instead of an installation as XP system.   I see no other reason for not allowing the upgrade of outside BONE in addition to Microsofts greed and paranoia that he can transform the operating system easier to install illegally.  I hope that some third party has actually changed the Vista installation routine to allow you to install Vista on itself, because as it is, it's really hard for me to even recommend Vista as the operating system or install any where else, if not the only recourse after loading OS, is to reinstall completely.

  Adobe, Autodesk, and almost all other software publishers... allow you to perform a "REPAIR" of their software installation, if something prevents you to load after installation.  Even MS Office has a routine repair.  Ms has an internal version of the Setup routine which allows outside the OS upgrade option that you want to "Upgrade" / repair? ".  If not, why?

  Then, you were lucky.  Try to replace the system files on a computer that does not start even at a desk or safe mode usually will get a return to office, but will probably repeat the same problem in a few weeks.  Tech professional would only use this function to retrieve the data before a complete reinstallation.

  For a better understanding of the question, I would like to know what is the serial number and model of the computer?

  This problem could occur due to these reasons.

  1 if the router is not properly Setup.

  2. If the software\driver is not installed or damaged.

  Make sure that you run 'as administrator'. This is not the same as running in an account with administrative privileges.

  I have a Hp Lefthand 4300 cluster for the storage, connected to 2 x DL360 G7 ESXi 4.1 via iSCSI (Hp edition) guests and a Procurve gigabit switch dedicated for iSCSI. Whenever I run a backup down the LUN for a few seconds (usually 5, however it was as much a minute).

  Things, I tried...

  Updated software from the left to the latest version

  Updated all the HP firmware on the hosts

  Update to the latest drivers HP Boradcom on ESXi hosts

  Changed the timeout 1400 (esxcfg-advcfg - s VMFS3/14000/HBTokenTimeout)

  These servers come into production in the new year... Please please can someone help me solve this problem?

  I call open with Vmware and HP, nor was particually useful, Vmware has suggested I called HP and updated card drivers NETWORK, HP simply said that it was a network problem and closed the call... Thank you!

  I intalled surveillance under tension and can not see all ports dropped etc. All the equipment is new and the LAN cables are Cat6.

  Don't really know where to go from here!

  We have recently changed some hosts who also had problems on a heavy load with iscsi San connections. We used hwiscsi (TOE), Broadcom adapters (was a recommendation from different vendors) before and this has recently changed to swiscsi (with Jumbo).

  No. dropped / resets on connections over this host. And a much faster flow of vm (tested with IOmeter).

  We also saw a much beter performance (throughput) on hosts with NIC configured to swiscsi on comparisation of hosts with an iSCSI HBAS (Qlogic 4062).

  We use VMware ESXi 4.1 (latest patches).

  Problems with broadcom TOE (hwiscsi) on HP DL360G6 also on Dell M610 blades.

  SAN: EqualLogic PS5000 PS6000, PS5500, PS6500,

  Switches: Juniper weer Jumbo Frames and flow control.

  So I recommend you also use swiscsi on these broadcom adapters.

  If you are looking for broadcom issues with vmware, find others with similar experiences.
