  Im not sure what you mean, but if you mean when you zoom in on a photo in playback mode, it is a way to save the area zoomed separately from the original photo on the camera.

  To start the Cup select in the playback menu.

  The Zoom lever allows you to resize the image and you can press the dots on the adjustment wheel to move the frame also.

  You can also press the Disp to change orientation.

  When you are finished, press Set and it will ask you to save a new Image, click Ok.

  Press Menu and when your promtped to the new display picture select Yes or no.

  You can consider a book written especially for your SX40. I own the SX50 and bought this book because a large part of it still applies. It is called A Short Course in Canon Powershot HS SX40 photography written by Dennis P. Curtin.

  Have Windows over recent Technical Preview build 10041, Firefox Nightly x 64 39.0a1 10. Firefox will be launched, but when the browser seems no entry screen as possible. Cannot access settings, cannot put the cursor in the URL box. Tried unsuccessfully compatibility modes. I can not able to use this browser on Thursday, March 26, but it worked without problem Wednesday, March 25. My speculation would be that among the latest two updates nightly broke it. The displayed issue of Chrome, like Firefox does not.

  Hello, this seems to be a known bug that is being developed (bug #1147953).
  Please also note that windows 10 is in it's pre-release preview State and there are still changes the basic platform, it will not be fully supported by firefox and things are required to be wrong on occasion.

  Maybe you should install the current version of Firefox or switch on the beta update channel instead.

  If you have installed at night because it's the only version that has a 64-bit version, so keep in mind that 64-bit Nightly builds for Windows are generated only for test compilation errors and are not all tests that get any other builds, so the risk that something is wrong can be very high.

  32-bit versions of Firefox should work without problems on 64 bit versions of Windows.

  Hold the two for up to 30 seconds until you see the apple logo.

• PowerShot SX50HS screen does not except when in the custom 1 and 2 settings

  I'm going to assume that you have a photography course & don't really understand the basics of opening & shutter speeds. Your 70-300 is f5.6 WIDE OPEN with 300 mm zoom (it will become a fine f5.6 lens before reaching the 300 mm & maybe even before hitting 150 mm).

  Lens f stops relate to the amount of light, the lens CAN let in and dictate at what shutter speed is needed for ISO selected produce acceptable exposure. Because frost action requires faster shutter speeds, we will talk about the need to use 1/500 sec as the slowest acceptable speed for your night time football. NOW, we are talking about the DIRECT relationship between the shutter speed & opening. These settings produce the same exposure

  at f 2.8 shutter speed must be 1/500, but if the lens can open only at f4.0

  to f 4.0 (a full stop "slower" than f 2.8) you MUST lower the shutter speed to 1/250 second, but YOUR goal is a goal of f 5.6 (2 stops 'slower' than the f 2.8 lens)

  at f 5.6 you must slow down the shutter speed at 1/125 second, for the same amount of light for a correct exposure.

  BECAUSE 1/125 will freeze action your ONLY option is to increase the ISO, which introduces noise once it passes a certain point (which varies according to the age camera & original price point in a range of manufacturers.

  Again, there is a DIRECT relationship with ISO settings so let's start with the numbers to STOP FULL using ISO 100 as the basis. The numbering system is 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400, 12800 etc..

  IF you were to use your f 5.6 lens & the setting defined above, where the f 2.8 @ 1/500 has worked to say 800 ISO, a shooting game in the night, you need to bump the ISO to 1600 to turn the lens f 4.0-1/500 or all the way up to 3200 to shoot your objective f5.6 at 1/500

  All this is DONE, but there is another potential problem. Increase the ISO does not help the AF somehow. The AF will struggle to f 5.6 in the dark compared to how well a f 2.8 lens will allow it to work. Another factor is a combination of how the AF works in the lens. More expensive cameras have more money spent on improving the AF components & then make more expensive lenses. The will IS 70-300 L AF faster that the 70-300 regular IS who's going to move more quickly than the cheapest of the 70-300.
