  I understand that you are having problems with the rendering of a video with Sony Vegas Pro 13. I suggest you only look to the Vegas Pro - vidéo as it appears there are settings in the software that should help you.   I use Windows 8 home edition.  I want to keep automatic updates turned on, but I don't want my computer restarts automatically after some Windows updates are installed.

  I am aware that there is a notification on the lock screen, indicating that a reboot is needed, but normally, I keep my computer on all the time and don't ever see this notification.  There are no notifications on the desktop until 15 minutes before the forced restart.  Still, he seems to be at an inopportune time and translates into loss of work.

  Power - in case of power failure, the NVR failure recovery automatically turns back once powered is restored. It will detect that I have is a power failure vs a regular push/off voltage via the button.
