No adapter USB wifi for 10.11.5?

I had a problem for a year with my MBP 15' mid-2012 which keep lack of Wifi hardware.

I tried several cables and cards to Air two BT2.1 and BT4

Cable Apple part No.: 922-9750

AirCard 2.1 BCM94331PCIEBT4AX

AirCard 4.0 BCM94331PCIEBT4CAX

Also reset SMC and NVRAM

Also erase and install on regular and the recovery of the Internet

I've seen several post on the web

and no official solution to the problem of APPLE

My MBP is out of warranty and logic board set me back $ 600 +

Funny is that my LV works very well!

I prefer to buy a usb wifi dongle to pay $$$ for repairs on the machine that be other than "NO PORTABLE" (read Ethenet) works flawlessly.

Anyone with any info will be greatly appreciated.

And APPLE if there is an official solution considers that is OQ.

Have you tried the

  • Adapter USB - C for HDMI for XPS 13 (9350)

I bought two adapters for my dell xps 13 and none of them work. When I connect the external display it lights up but then after a few seconds (or sometimes immediately) puts off and then again running and and so forth.

I googled for the solution and I think that the problem is alt DP mode that is not supported by xps. Are there drivers available soon to fix this or should I buy another card. Which one you prefer / is works 100%?

I solved the problem. USB - C for HDMI adapter for external monitor did not work because of the WIFI from Dell driver. All I had to was to go to Device Manager-> network card-> Dell Wireless 1820 A, right click 'Properties' and on the 'Advanced' tab and set the '802.11 d support (Auto-pays)' on 'off '.

Also, I did a clean install of Windows 10 and install only 'Dell Wireless 1820 A WiFi Driver' and 'Intel HD Graphics Driver. I have not installed all the drivers thunderbolt, and external monitor works fine with two adapters.

  • USB Wifi between host (Win7) and comments (Ubuntu)

    Hi all

I learn some stuff of WiFi security, and I installed Ubuntu in my VMWare Workstation 11 environment. My host OS is Windows 7, which is connected to my home network via Wifi

Now, what I need is in the OS (i.e. Ubuntu) invited, I should be able to allow wireless access (so that I can run Wifi network scans etc.). I filled my network and laso used NAT, that give me access to my home network via my host, but they appear as wired connections in Ubuntu. If I understand correctly, this is possible by using a USB WiFi dongle.

I bought a USB WiFi dongle now (it should arrive in a few days), but I don't know how can I get my Ubuntu OS guest to use this USB Wifi adapter while keeping my OS host on the built-in Wifi adapter.

Simple I plug in the USB network adapter in my laptop and it will be recognized in Ubuntu or whatever I need to do some settings in VMware?

    Thanks in advance

I got this job, post my answer for posterity

I bought a TP Link WN823N USB Wifi adapter.

    (1) keep your host Wifi on. Plug the USB, let it download the drivers
    (2) once installed, turn on your virtual machine
    (3) open VMWare, right-click on your VM-> removable devices
Here, you should see your USB adapter. Select Connect (disconnect from the host). He will now connect the adapter USB Wifi for your Linux VM and alto - it should work!

What it does is essentially the WiFi adapter will be connected to the virtual machine and disconnected from the host and the host can continue to use the built-in WiF

    Hello

you current video card has a place for a monitor on the back?

If so, buy a cable dual monitor and it is not necessary to double video cards.

If this is not the case, make sure that the second video card is recognized in the Bios and make sure that the correct drivers are installed.

Also, if you do a you tube search on "how to set up two monitors, you find a great video on how to set up.

    For any question,.

  • Acer 'UWA2', or equivalent USB WiFi Dongle for K137?

I am interested in buying the Acer WiFi "UWA2" USB dongle for use with the projector K137 as stated in the manual, but am unable to find anywhere to purchase. I found the pattern on shop.digitec.ch but I did not trust this retailer.

Is anyone aware of a place I could buy this accessory or another compatible USB WiFi dongle from? Thanks for the help!

I'm sorry, but no, I do not mean that there is a built-in WiFi receiver. You asked questions on an Acer UWA2 USB Wifi dongle, and I have been informed that there is not one currently available in the United States for the purchase.

We should offer the MHL Acer wireless adapter to the United States for use with the projector, but I don't have a time of availability of this card.

  • How to connect the USB WiFi adapter to a Linksys e2500

I need to use a USB Wifi adapter and I don't know how to configure the router to communicate with the device.  The installation disk supplied with the device that has the installation software does not work with windows 7.  Because I don't have the installer, I am trying to configure it manually, but I don't know how to do it.  I guess there is something in the configuration of the router, I need to connect the USB WiFi Internet.  I am ignorant of network, so if I'm away from base here can you give me some advice on where I need to focus.

Yes, I know the router puts a wifi signal, but my chromecast will not work with it.  After plugging the Wifi adapter and try to put up with Windows, I had the beginnings of dialog between my chromecast device and Setup chromecast - that's never happened before.

    Ed

I tried this site and I remember there were some problems.  It turns out that there must be default windows drivers and they work fine.  I finally got to work and my Chromecast is upward and the work.

    Thanks for your reply.
