Adapter USB - C for HDMI for XPS 13 (9350)
I bought two adapters for my dell xps 13 and none of them work. When I connect the external display it lights up but then after a few seconds (or sometimes immediately) puts off and then again running and and so forth.
I googled for the solution and I think that the problem is alt DP mode that is not supported by xps. Are there drivers available soon to fix this or should I buy another card. Which one you prefer / is works 100%?
I solved the problem. USB - C for HDMI adapter for external monitor did not work because of the WIFI from Dell driver. All I had to was to go to Device Manager-> network card-> Dell Wireless 1820 A, right click 'Properties' and on the 'Advanced' tab and set the '802.11 d support (Auto-pays)' on 'off '.
Also, I did a clean install of Windows 10 and install only 'Dell Wireless 1820 A WiFi Driver' and 'Intel HD Graphics Driver. I have not installed all the drivers thunderbolt, and external monitor works fine with two adapters.

Hi Wooltown,
ImageAssist does not support devices that are not included in the system. If you want to integrate support for the driver, you can follow the instructions mentioned in the following post.

HDMI adapter for xps 13 (9350)
I recently bought an XPS 13 (9350), and have a card DA200 (type c HDMI/VGA/Ethernet/USB3). I can get an image to an external monitor via the VGA port on the adapter, but not via the HDMI port on the card. I have the latest updates to the BIOS as of February 8, 2016.
I use the laptop for work, so need for Ethernet in the office and HDMI and VGA for presentations.
I read in other posts (in November/December 2015) an update of the driver of Type C/fell in love with the laptop, but when I search the specified driver, it seems more to be available - I guess because it was not in the latest updates.
I also read problems with another Type C for the XPX 13 9350 HDMI cables.
Does anyone have a stable solution to a HDMI/VGA/Ethernet adapter?
This undermines fixed after two days at the Dell customer service.

No adapter USB wifi for 10.11.5?
I had a problem for a year with my MBP 15' mid-2012 which keep lack of Wifi hardware.
I tried several cables and cards to Air two BT2.1 and BT4
Cable Apple part No.: 922-9750
AirCard 2.1 BCM94331PCIEBT4AX
AirCard 4.0 BCM94331PCIEBT4CAX
Also reset SMC and NVRAM
Also erase and install on regular and the recovery of the Internet
I've seen several post on the web
and no official solution to the problem of APPLE
My MBP is out of warranty and logic board set me back $ 600 +
Funny is that my LV works very well!
I prefer to buy a usb wifi dongle to pay $$$ for repairs on the machine that be other than "NO PORTABLE" (read Ethenet) works flawlessly.
Anyone with any info will be greatly appreciated.
And APPLE if there is an official solution considers that is OQ.

I am not given the option to use the adapter usb display
I have a p4 dimension reference dell 3100, running on win 7, I tried to add an adapter usb display for another screen for display, but windows does not give me the possibility to see, I installed the driver and software for the extra adapter but when I try to change screen I get only an option and no additional extra screen on the display properties is to win 7 too recent for my dell or am I missing some sort of update? I have tried almost everything, even try to re install the program several times, the adapter works on my brothers laptop and it gets additional screens in display properties, but I don't have, can anyone help please.
Hello
you current video card has a place for a monitor on the back?
If so, buy a cable dual monitor and it is not necessary to double video cards.
If this is not the case, make sure that the second video card is recognized in the Bios and make sure that the correct drivers are installed.
Also, if you do a you tube search on "how to set up two monitors, you find a great video on how to set up.
For any question,.

I have connected a retina 12 '' Macbook to a Thunderbolt display via two adapters, and no video is coming through.
Here is what I use:
1 USB - C for HDMI: (Apple USB - C to HDMI adapter)
2 HDMI to Thunderbolt (Monoprice adapter)
Any ideas what's happening? The Thunderbolt display is without a doubt, since power is to come via USB when I plug my phone directly on the back of the monitor. The Apple adapter works because I could try to connect directly to a LG monitor with HDMI ports.
The present model 2015 MacBook 12 inch Retina does not support the Apple Thunderbolt display
what I read. The other models Apple Cinema can work if they are used with correct adapters
as other brands. Some adapters support the audio, while others do. Note there is
limits for the specifications of display supported; This can limit their usefulness if it is not better configured.
Special adapters and cables can allow to configure some display options for use with the MacBook.
The graphical support through MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro varies with the specifications.
The absence of a Thunderbolt port, use of adapters to provide only what it can bear MacBook 12 plug-in software component.
and the mini-display port cannot connect or transfer at frequencies Thunderbolt usage views. The
cure should be taken as built-in support for this; If the adapters could carry signals. A new model
could understand such an improvement; but there is nothing of this specification in the Apple Store again.

USB serial adapter works once for each reboot...
I have a serial adapter USB to connect to the CONSOLE of the switch/router port and I use 'screen' inside the Terminal to connect. Recently, I found that the "screen /dev/cu.usbserial 9600" works only once for each restart of the system. Steps to reproduce:
1. the output of "ls/dev / * usb *" shows the right device.
2. connect to the console of the machine with 'screen /dev/cu.usbserial 9600 '.
3. press on "Ctrl + A, Ctrl + K" to exit the screen
4. (optional) disconnect/reconnect the usb to adapter series laptop OR disconnect/reconnect the cable to the device console target.
5. the output of "ls/dev / * usb *" shows again the device.
6. try to connect to the console with "screen /dev/cu.usbserial 9600", the process of the screen will hang. Once what is happening, the screen process cannot be killed by 'sudo kill-9' and only be solved by turning off the power full. BTW, the laptop will hang also when the start/stop, until I continue to press on the button / stop...
7. When hanging them screen, the output of "ls/dev / * usb *" would show nothing.
Once the notebook starts up again, I can connect with the same command screen and the same scenario for step 2-3 above...
I have Mac OS 10.11.3 and adapter Micro Innovations brand (prolific chip). I downloaded and installed/re-installed driver from the prolific site and no difference...
Any idea?

XPS 13 9350 fails with DA200 USB - C 4 in 1 adapter
Hi all
Just got an XPS 13 9350 (i7, 8 GB, 256 GB drive). Has also ordered the DA200 4 in 1 adapter for plugging the second ethernet cable and the monitor. It was delayed and came a few weeks later.
Configure the portable computer, applications etc. added and used for two weeks. Then, when the DA200 is presented I have connected to the USB - C port. He went through the step adding drivers like any new device. After that he would be constantly connect and disconnect. Device Manager would show the card network disconnected, connect, error with a yellow warning triangle. He would have this for 5 to 10 minutes then drop and say there is error of connecting the device.
Went to Dell support, found a bunch of new drivers, installed all of them. Thunderbolt of the firmware and drivers, ethernet Realtek USB, BIOS, etc. All the latest on the 7 July and there was some new that is added to the end of June / beginning of July.
I then decided to perform a reimage to factory default. Basically take it back factory default as it came from the factory and still have the same problems.
Called the Dell suport, was on the phone for a few hours and all done the same thing. Reload the drivers, patches, etc. All the latest and bigger and a couple, he had access to. still no luck
As soon as I connect the DA200, the laptop (new unit added) beeps and boops (device removed) then again and again. Device Manager shows it appear then disappear.
No resolution and waiting for support to call me back with the action plan.
I was wondering if anyone has tried the same scenario and your experience.
I heard a lot of people having problems with the Thunderbolt TB15 docking station that uses the same port USB - C thunderbolt. Also, I ordered the TB15 and had to cancel the order, as is the remaining forever and Dell wouldn't let me keep the active order. Now, you don't see yet the TB15 to order, so assuming there are serious problems with the thunderbolt devices.
So now I have no home solution and you wonder what's next.
Thanks for any help that is out there.

Nice day
I have a HP 900 GB HDD and am looking for an enclosure for the USB adapter.
model # EG0900FBLSK
part # 619286-004
I'll try to find a USB enclosure for the HARD drive and the 'standard' ones sold in big box stores do not work. It seems that the pinout have a different connector than the other HARD drives.
at - it anyone Kow where a USB box can be purchased?
Thanks yo.
DH
What you have is a SAS hard drive from a server. There is NO direct way to jump a dedicated SAS controller card, which can be more expensive that the disc is a value. A new Seagate 1000 GB (1 TB aka) is less than $50, one sliding USB 3.0 external in case $30 or the whole in a portable case point is only $ 57.

64 bit Windows7/8/8.1/10 USB drivers for Palm Desktop
Thank you people much more to Aceeca.com (Palm OS Garnet NEW manufacturers), the USB drivers for Vista, Windows 7 and 8 Win 64 bit operating systems are available. There are many users Palm Desktop 4.x strives also to the declaration.
I have synced my TX my Vista64 laptop computer bits and Windows 8.1 HP spectrum X 2 hybrid successfully through my USB cable.
The drivers are located here:
Aceeca Driver Downloads(NOTE: as of today, 01/08/2016 Aceeca site to be down for 'construction'.) Drivers can also be found here: http://www.palmdr.com/windows-7-64-bit-usb-drivers)
Installation instructions for Windows 7 (from Aceeca) are included in the download.
Basic instructions:
1 download the drivers and extract them in the same folder. Remember the folder that you extracted to.
2. try to HotSync your device. It will fail.
3. open the Device Manager and look for the yellow Triangle next to the other "Acceca" or "'Palm device ' in the"Other devices"section."
4. right click on the device and choose "Update driver software".
5. choose "Browse my computer for software" and guide them to the folder that you extracted the drivers Aceeca.
6 choose 'Next' in the driver and then file location window tell him 'Confidence always Aceeca Ltd. software', then click on the button "install".
7. I received an error message (Vista64) who told me "the drivers have been installed, but the device could not be opened." I realized my TX had expired, and fell asleep. I tried a HotSync and it worked!Good luck!
NOTE: Palm Desktop 6.22 may only multimedia show and install. Here's how to fix this:
If Palm Desktop 6.2.2 shows only the media and installation, try this: right click on the shortcut for Palm Desktop, and then choose 'run as administrator '. Other modules should appear.
To Palm Desktop run as administrator every time in Windows 8 / 8.1:
Close to Palm Desktop, if it is open. (This is a very important thing to do when you use 6.2.2 - it has been known to lose data when a computer is shut down without closing the program!)
Right click on the desktop icon of Palm in the metro screen, then choose "open file location". You will now see the actual file for the shortcut.
Right-click on the file "Palm Desktop" shortcut, then properties. Now, choose the tab compatibility at the top.
At the bottom of the Compatibility tab is a checkbox: "run this program as an administrator", click OK.
Try to open the Palm Desktop, all parties must appear. You can see a box opens when you close the program asking "did the program runs correctly. I chose 'Yes', and it has been working fine since then!
If you are using a much older PalmOS device and try using Palm Desktop 4.x, you will need this additional patch Pimlico Software:

Forum member bobboffin has added this message:
"After you try your first HotSync and failing (as expected) you may be unable to find any trace of the device in Device Manager, making the next step very difficult. It is me, and after some research, I discovered the following trick that allows Device Manager to display hidden and devices not present.
Open Notepad and paste the following two lines are:
Set DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES = 1
Start devmgmt.msc
Save it as SetDev.bat in My Documents.
Open My Documents in Windows Explorer and double-click SetDev.bat. Device Manager opens.
On the view menu, select Show hidden devices.
You can now see in the other position of the device with a yellow triangle against it.
You can now proceed to install the drivers according to the instructions.
Note that the driver supports most versions of Palm OS. "I actually use an Aceeca Meazura 1000 rugged PDA running OS 4.1 - bobboffin.
I hope this helps!

USB drivers for HP50g on Windows 8 (64-bit)
Hi all
Has anyone tried installing the USB drivers for the 50g on Windows 8?
Conn4x installed well but USB drivers comes. I tried all available troubleshooting options using the features of Windows 8 compatibility (XP, Vista and 7) and none of them worked.
So I was wondering, maybe someone here may have already installed and could share some tips.
Thank you
Márcio
I read messages in other forums indicating that the conn4x and the USB driver peut be installed.
The post on the forum indicated that Windows 8 comes pre-configured with the possibility for signed drivers enabledapplication.
In order to install the USB driver, signed driver enforcement must be disabled.
See this forum comp.sys.hp48 post it here:
Please inform the forum if you succeed, and what measures allowing you to complete the installation.

Need USB drivers for old Equium L40 - 10U PSL41E running Vista 32-bit
Hi all
I think that my USB driver is corrupted. I found the ChipSet, LAN and BIOS drivers for my old PSL41E Equium L40 - 10U running Vista 32 bit. However, I have not found the USB drives I need. USB drivers are contained in the ChipSet, BIOS or LAN driver?
If not, where can I find and download the USB drivers for my old old Equium L40 - 10U PSL41E running Vista 32 bit?
Thank you! -Le Cannet
Here is where I found the drivers (but with no mention of USB drivers):

USB drivers are part of the Windows operating system.
The USB ports should work after the installation of the Windows operating system and, therefore, there is no such thing as a USB driver for the USB 2.0 standard. In addition, the chipset driver must be installed.
I checked the proposed link in your ad and here, you can download the Intel chipset utility.
