No audio device or after reinstaling windows xp volume control
I reinstalled Windows XP on Inspiron B120 my daughter because she got the blue screen of death. I finally understood how to get the wireless working and I thought everything was OK. Today I asked him if his cell phone was still used and she told me the volume had disappeared from the taskbar and she had no sound.
When I go into Control Panel configuration/sounds and Audio devices / Volume, everything is gray and it says 'no audio device'.
I tried Dell Quickset, but unfortunately it didn't there nothing to bring back.
I don't want to have to reinstall Windows XP again because of all the problems that I had to get access to the Internet after last reinstallation. But I think there may be something I can correct if I or someone else, can understand it miss me.
Any help would be appreciated.

Satellite A50 432: after reinstalling Windows I can't do its job properly
I have a problem with the laptop A50-432 of unknown source without recovery CD when Windows XP has been reinstalled and after re-installation, I can no longer do its job properly.
I have installed sound drivers SigmaTel C-Major Audio-sa50-xp - 614013835.zip:
27/05/04, its pilot, Sigma, Windows XP, 6.14.01.3835, World Wide
and what I get is noise from great height and whistle of the right speaker only. If I set an audio file for playback I can rarely hear good audio clean for a second or less and then he returned to his noises and whistles. If I connect the headphones to use instead of the speakers, the effect is the same.
I followed the installation order and then reinstalled the drivers several times with no luck for his work. Audio worked fine before reinstalling Windows. I have no problem with the rest of the component and I also tried to disable the other drivers (for LAN, IEEE 1394, 802.11, etc.) without effect.
Does anyone have ideas how I can fix this problem?
Thank you

Hi MarkS_02127,
Since you've reinstalled windows, you will need to re - install applications once again, you will be lucky (if you format the drive) data on your computer. You remember that location, it was in my documents? If yes it just open C:\Documents and settings and locate your old username, you will find your old desktop, Favorites and Documents.
I hope this helps.

No network adapter driver is available after reinstalling Windows Vista installation disk... Unable to connect to the network
Hello
Know what type of network card you have and download the drivers of its supplier.
It doesn't matter what it is always a good idea before re-install/upgrade to log on to the computer support page, download independent drivers from there and put them on a flash drive.

How much time after reinstalling window 7 32 Home Premium it take before that receive updates?
* Original title: update Windows 7
How long after reinstalling window 7 32 Home Premium does it take before that receive updates.
Should be immediately the minute that an Internet connection is detected. I would advise that you install updates Windows Update batch well. There are about 300 post SP1 updates, more if you have reinstalled the version Windows 7 RTM.
My recommendation would be to install updates in batches, these 5 at a time, exclude the hardware/driver updates. Avoid installing a set of updates for Microsoft Windows and Office at the same time. Also, try to install the first small updates. Avoid installing things like the .NET Framework and SQL Express updates.Whenever you install updates (it's a chore, but it guarantees a more reliable experience). Try to start the Microsoft Office updates for programs such as (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Another thing, try to download the updates, and then install them. When you are prompted to restart, disconnect from the Internet and restart your computer. To proceed with the installation of additional updates. If the continuous computer to become unresponsive, try the following:
You can reset the Windows Update components by running the Fixit on this page. But if there is malware present, she will continue to reset the connection to the update servers:How to reset the Windows Update components
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058
Suggest you download and save the Fixit. Then configure the system before the clean boot by running:How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista/Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135Once the Fixit has been downloaded and the system is started in the pure State, check that the native Windows Firewall is now on if a 3rd party firewall has been used previously. Now run the Fixit and choose the default mode. Restart once it's done and see if the system can be connected to the update servers. If he can't, then rerun the Fixit and choose aggressive mode. Turn it back on when he finished the race and updates.I suggest before you stop and install the updates, disconnect from the Internet, first. -

After Reinstalling windows 7 stopped opening PSD files.
After Reinstalling windows 7 has stopped opening some files PSD files. I try to open them with Photoshop version 6, it does not work. I tried to open them on the laptop, same garbage. Tell me what is the problem. And how to fix it. Thank you.
Maybe these files have been corrupted. I can't say how it happened, but it is quite possible. And the files are no longer open, immediately after reinstalling windows? Or not?
If so, it is very rare in my opinion. You are very unlucky. Try to reinstall photoshop. Then check that these files have been opened or not. In the opposite case. Then the only solution is a special software. I would use this program http://www.photoshop.recoverytoolbox.com/ on your site
(it is not free but is very good and is not expensive. But in the future you will be immune to such situations. )
So you can learn more about your problem here: http://www.filerepairforum.com/forum/adobe/adobe-aa/photoshop/207-can-t-open-a-psd-file-th rough-photoshop

"No audio device" after reinstalling Windows XP
I recently reinstalled Windows XP on my laptop Dell Inspiron 9400. This laptop has Sound Blaster Audigy Advanced HD Audio integrated. The sound worked fine before the reinstall.
Now I have no sound (other than the boring system beeps) and I get an error message that there is no audio device whenever I try to play an audio file.
I tried to reinstall the drivers from the CD of origin and on the dell download site. For both, to Midway through the installation it stops and tells me that there is no audio device.
When I look in Device Manager there is no audio device listed and when I go to the components section of system of information there is no audio device.
Any ideas of what I can do to force the computer to recognize the processor integrated?
I ended up resolving this issue. It is not enough to reinstall the Sound Blaster disc. There was another driver who had to be downloaded from the Dell website before Sound Blaster could even see the audio device.
SIGMATEL - pilot - applies to the STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio
The Dell Web site lists this driver option, but it obviously wasn't. As soon as it was installed my audio device has been found, and I was able to install the Sound Blaster CD.
I hope this helps someone else.

Brand new, was working fine, all wonderful - up to what windows update yesterday, and now the mute button is always enabled in laptop mode or tablet, unless the HDMI is plugged in, and then the sound goes out via HDMI. Because there was a big update W10 from one day to the next, it's suspicious.
Try to change the taskbar icon reports: peripheral output Audio n is installed.
The button muting of the keyboard is light, and the sound of the taskbar icon is crossed out (= Mute).
Panel / control device manager / audio-> "No. Audio Device is installed":
Panel / control device manager / sound, video and game controllers:
ISST Conexant Audio
Intel(r) Audio display
I see a lot of similar complaints year last for HP laptops ("Mute Button stuck"); some seem to be hardware related, so I can't know if the Windows update broke it, or if it's just a coincidence.
I had the same problem, and it is related to the update of the anniversary.

Satellite P10-873 - no sound after reinstalling windows device
Satellite P10 873 PSP 16th:-not his Device
Win XP-Home Edition SP2Everything was going well until a bad sector on the hard drive. I have Ran Chkdsk /r and re-installed windows.
In Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager it is a unknown device in the sound,.
Section of video and games controllers which I think can be unit XT of SRS truesurround.
also Realtek AC97 sound devices shown as correct and functional.Tried to load the audio drivers from the website of Toshiba (sound-s-p10-xp-510005490) and still no audio device
available from the configuration/sounds and Audio devices Control Panel.
Got the patch KB888111 from Microsoft and installed, still no luck.Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong please?
Satellite P10 is old enough laptop model. I have very good experiences with P20. It's almost the same laptop, but a bit bigger. A friend of mine uses P10 for the job and we have installed WXP Pro using all the tricks of the Toshiba support page. The OS is installed two years ago, and the sound still works.
If you can not get this to work, I recommend you remove all the important data for the D partition or save on an external device and make the clean OS install. It will be interesting to see if the problem persists.
By the way: is a connected to your laptop satellite external game controller?
An interesting solution, I found here.
