Are you running Windows XP?

You should be able to format the card using the camcorder
menu... Check your camcorder owner's manual...

And FWIW... formatting the card erases the content... If you
having useful files on the map do not format.

Another thought... If you are running Windows XP, it is possible
that your system is not compatible with the SDHC technology.
If you have an external media player, it may be worth trying to
Remove the camcorder SDHC card and insert it in the
Media player. This can help you to download video.

SD and SDHC cards and devices have these compatibility issues:

    • Devices that do not specifically support the SDHC do not recognize SDHC memory cards. Some devices can support SDHC through an update of the firmware.
    • SDHC devices are backward compatible with SD memory cards
    • Some manufacturers have produced 4 GB SD cards that conform to the existing SD or spec SD2.0/SDHC devices.
    • File system: SD cards are typically formatted with the FAT16 file system, while SDHC cards are usually in format FAT32. However, both types of cards may support other file systems for general purposes, such as UFS2/ext2 or owner exFAT for example.

You may need to install a "patch".

See if these items help you:

"Fix for Windows XP that adds support for a capacity of more than 4 GB SDHC cards"

«The 923293 hotfix adds support for SD memory cards high ability in Windows XP»
      <>http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/923293 >

It is also possible that your card reader itself does not support SD cards that are more than 4 GB (i.e. SDHC).

  • I want to download photos/videos from my 8 GB SanDisk SDHC card on computer but, I have problems...

I have a Dell Dimension E520 with Windows Vista desktop computer... The disc/sdhc 8 GB card works fine in my camera...   When I put the sdhc card into its slot in my computer to download photos/videos of the card on my computer, everything that happens is a green light near the slot lights up. That's all. Nothing appears on the screen of my computer to guide me on what to do next... This is the first time that I do this...   Are you able to help me?

It is possible that your media player is not compatible
with the SDHC technology. The best is maybe to buy
an external drive that is compatible SDHC or download
Unit photo using a USB cable.

Copy card full hard disk, and then ingest via the media browser.

See if that will make a difference.

  • question 'write protected' for an SDHC card

The file in my SDHC card (SanDisk 8 GB class 6) can be played with my laptop (Pavilion dv2500). However, when I try to save a file, it shows me to 'the disc is protected wrote.' After that I have spend the card locking lug, my laptop still show the same warning message.

My computer sony can save a file in the SDHC card even when the lock tab to the "Unlock" position

An idea for this problem? THX

Location of card reader is inside a metal case stainless steel with a small tab on the side which acts as a switch to make contact with another piece of metal depending on the position of the piece of card blocking.  Most likely your drive switch is defective and it can be folded to make contact again but otherwise it's an advanced welding repair work requiring unsoldering special welding or a heat gun for repair (which means that if not all replaced mainboard needs assuming that the card reader is built on the motherboard instead of a daughter card.

  • Satellite Z830 - unrecognized 32 GB SDHC card

I have a Satellite Z830 with the SD card reader.

Sheets said he read SDHC cards, so I bought a Transcend 32 Gb SDHC card to put all my music. When I plug it into the laptop SD card reader there is no nothing - nothing show in Windows Explorer or disk management. It's as if the reader doesn't even know a card is inserted.

However, if I put the card in a SD USB card reader and plug it into the USB port, the computer sees the card very well. I can copy files to and from it. Is this a driver problem, or is this hardware connected?

    Hello

According to the user manual, the internal card reader supports SD card (8 MB - 2 GB), SDHC (4 GB - 32 GB) and SDXC (64 GB).
So you should be able to use the 32 GB card with no big problems.

If the SDHC card works in other books, then I would say that this s a compatibility issue that's one and only a plausible explanation for me maybe, you should test another card from another manufacturer under Z830 32 GB SDHC.

  • SDHC-Card-Driver for Win7 and Portege M200?

ICH is not SDHC-Card-Driver for Windows 7 and the Portage M200.
Either way... work the SD Card Reader in the M200 with linux (ubuntu) and someone has a link with instructions?

    Sorry for my bad English.

You could try the Win7 driver card to a similar newer model reader, such as the Portege M400. Have a look here: http://support.toshiba-tie.co.jp/windows7/drivers_au.htm

Also run WindowsUpdate Control Panel, it can find a driver automatically.

  • Camileo P30 does not work when the 8 GB SDHC card is inserted

    Hello
I just got a new camcorder Camileo P30.
    I also bought a card 8 GB class SDHC 6 100 'Lexar Premium' x
And it does not work with the card inserted.

    Here are the symptoms:
    (1) when the card is not inserted I can do everything OK - take pictures and video, use the menus, it turn on and off.
    (2) when the card is inserted, the following occurs:
2.1) I can't take pictures or video - it does not meet the pressed buttons.
    2.2) I can't access menus.
    2.3) I can't shut off again.
2.4) I do not identify the amount of memory is available (shows only 0 recording time remaining).
    (3) I have tried different combinations of:
3.1) Insert the card so that the camera is turned off.
3.2) Insert the card so that the camera is turned on
3.3) Insert the card while the device is switched on and in one of the menus.
    (4) the camera doesn't always work if I take the card again.

During these expriments (#3), I was sometimes able to get a record time correct left (#2.4), but still #2.1 to 2.3 # were a problem.
At one point, I was also able to "format" the card and subsequently, he showed a record very long time available (not matching only not to the size of the map) and #2.1 to 2.3 # were still in force (i.e. I couldn't use the camera or turn it off).

Note to work around the #2.3 I took the battery.

I was not yet looking for updated firmware, or connect it to the PC.

Has anyone of you has met with such a problem?
What did you do to solve it?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Have you tried another card SDHC?
I m not very well what is happening here, but I recommend you another card in this camcorder.
I m P30 not owner but I have a: 30 and the camcorder reads without problems for 16 GB SDHC card. It works perfectly.

  • Re: Satellite A200-1N7 does not read the SDHC card using Win 7 32 bit

    Hi all

After that I installed windows 7 32 bit on my laptop, it does not read my sdhc card.
And he did it when I got Vista.

Can someone help what to do?

    Thank you very much:

    Adry

    Hello

Have you installed the driver for the card reader?
Have you noticed an unknown device in Device Manager?

Please see the page of European disk from Toshiba for the card reader driver.
Satellite A200-1N7 belongs to the PSAE3E series
I found the driver of the card reader for Vista 64-bit
Usually the Vista driver should work on Win 7 OS too

If this does not work, then try the drivers released for A500 or L500 series!

    Welcome them

  • Can be upgraded the firmware on my Satellite Pro A120 to accept SDHC cards

I have a Satellite Pro A120 and use the slot for SD card frequently, however, the capacity of memory cards can sometimes be restrictive, is it possible to update the firmware for SDHC cards and if so, how.

    Hello

Unfortunately not possible since it s card reader has NO firmware and it s a stand-alone device that has nothing to do with the BIOS (firmware) of the machine.

So, if she can't simply do not support. :/

    See you soon
