Thanks for your help.
I backed up all the files and did a full system restore.
This process worked very effectively.
Things seem to be working again.
The sound is OK!

'No Audio output device is enabled' updates immediately after Manual HP dv7-7010us

Windows 7, 64-bit
I want to install a new game on my computer and the game launcher.exe told me there's an update for my video drivers. For some reason, I can't get updated driver from HP Web site directly and not AMD (which, on a side note, is a bit confusing to me know why). After seeing how many updates are available for my computer (here), I decided to update many of them. Here is a list of the updates I have downloaded and installed.
That said, at the end of all updates and all the restarting of the past, I boot my laptop and notice the lack of opening of a session of his. Looking at the system tray, there is, indeed, a mini icon 'X' on the volume icon. With the mouse hovering over him, he bed "no Audio output device is enabled" by clicking on it, the computer tries to set up the problem and the problem it finds is the following: "Audio device is disabled."
That's about the extent of my knowledge of what is happening.
Looking in the Device Manager, under "Audio, video and game controllers", there are three elements that follows:
AMD High Definition Audio Device
CyberLink WebCam driver virtual
IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit Service Pack 1. My computer product number is XZ046UA #ABA.
I am quite gifted in computer science. Do I need to install a new driver, or something else? Help!
Hello
Try the following.
Download Realtek HD Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.
http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp50501-51000/sp50720.exe
One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers. Right click on the Realtek device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.
When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery. Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds. Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.
Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu. Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER. Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.
Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete. Then open your download folder, right-click on the installation of Realtek Audio program and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation. Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices. 'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.
Kind regards

Satellite U300-152 - no audio output device is installed
The sounds are works well when I do update windows, update antivirus and updated some software like adobe air and adobe shockwave but when I open the laptop the next morning, there is a red cross marked in the speaker icon on the lower right of the laptop and it says : "no audio output device is installed".
I couldn't find the sound and game controller in Device Manager so I'm frustrated. Its been 3 days now, I use the laptop without noise.
Can you please help me in this matter?
My laptop is Toshiba Satellite U300-152
Windows 7 Ultimate but not pre-installed (Vista Home has been the pre-installed)I tried to download the latest audio driver from realtek high defintion, but its still does not. Tried several restarts, System Restore, disable antivirus but does not yet.
I don't know what can be the problem but the fact is that updates Windows update offers some drivers and, in general, you should not install their Mr. with other words, you should only use the drivers from Toshiba.
What can you do now? Have you tried to reduce the OS to an earlier time (before installing updates) and check the functionality?
One last thing. Software driver Sound should start with Windows, then please check MSCONFIG > startup if the sound software is listed and enabled it.

Where can I download an Equium A100 PSAAQ Audio output device?
I accidentally disabled the audio device on my computer (thinking I would get the option to activate it again...) and now I have no audio output device so there is no sound.
It's REALLY frustrating me!Does anyone know where I can download one or how can I get my sound back?
I tried to download an audio device on this site, but it has not made a difference. heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp! Thanks :)
Can I ask you how have you disabled the output device Audio (I guess you mean the sound card)?
Usually the devices can be enabled or disabled in Device Manager.
Please access the Device Manager in the control panel and check if there is a yellow exclamation point. There is perhaps no yellow exclamation point, but the sound card is still disabled. Then mark it and activate it. -
HP dv6736nr no audio output device
To make a long story short, my laptop is a hp dv6736nr and he says he has no audio output device installed and when I go into my speakers (Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221) Device Manager is not under the sound, video and game controllers section and when I try to download the driver from hp , at it says cannot find the device to install the driver
Try this:
Go to control panel, sounds. On the Read tab, select your speakers on and click on the "Set as default" button below, click on the buttons apply then OK to exit. If it is already set as default, disable and re-enable it (right click). If you do not see your speakers, do a right click on a space empty on the box, clilck on "Show disabled devices" and "Show disconnected devices".

Hi Jammyhorse,
1. What is the number of brand and model of the PC?
2. when the problem started?
3. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?
Step 1:
You can check the following link and run the Fixit and see if helps solve the problem.

Also check out the link:

Step 2:
In the BIOS settings advanced, you can also check if the onboard sound is enabled.
You can see the manual of the system manufacturer or contact the system manufacturer for more information on how to make the changes in the BIOS.
Note: Change to the BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.
Hope this information is useful.

"No audio output device is installed" error. Help, please!
I went on my computer of Windows 8 this morning and was forced once more to "Configure Windows Updates". As always, it was impossible to stop it from happening. So I let it happen. Now usually updates (apparently) do nothing. But I was very angry to see that my audio was broken. He wouldn't let me turn off/turn on the sound, and if I scroll to the left and click on settings, the healthy thing says 'off '. If I go over it it says "No audio output device installed." I know that isn't true, because only yesterday, it worked fine and I uninstalled anything. So I surfed the internet and found that many people had the same problems. Some of the fixes I've tried were:
Go to the control panel and go to the audio device and disable then enable it. N ' DID NOT WORK
I also tried to make the 'System restore' method, which, in my view, WOULD have worked, except the system restore gave me an error message too!
If someone can tell me how to correct the error of the system restore, it would be greatly appreciated.
I did different things with the Control Panel, frantically trying to solve the problem. I spent more than a day of troubleshooting and nothing has worked. Help, please!
Hi Wendy,.
1. What is the accurate and complete error you get when you try to perform the system restore?
2. What is the brand and model of the computer sound card?
3. are you able to hear the sound of the headphones or external speaker output?
Windows updates improve the security of Windows. If you need to install all updates pending Windows. I understand the difficulty when you lose the sound.
Method 1: with the right button on the Volume in the Notification area icon. Choose devices to record or playback devices. In this window that appears with the right button on the devices listed as well as on a box empty to show more devices (devices disabled, etc.) and play with the options to configure your sound.
Method 2: I suggest for the link and follow the steps in the article:

Hope this solves the problem. If the problem persists, you can write to us and we will be happy to help you further.

I've been a Firefox user for many years and I still use it as my main browser. A problem that has bothered me for years lies in the fact that when Firefox is open and I change my audio output device by default, Firefox does not respect this change and continues to play audio through the device that was used to originally. Even if you stop the audio and keep playing, does not change the output device.
Is there a way that this can be configured in Firefox? Now, if I listen to music online (e.g. Soundcloud) I always use Chrome because it is respect changing the default audio output even in the middle of audio playback device.
Reproduce:
1. start audio playback (for example a YouTube video; HTML5 and Flash are affected)
2. change your audio output device by default
3. audio will continue to play the original output deviceThank you!

You upgrade to Windows 10 or was your system shipped with it? If you can provide information about the system, I will be able to help you.
In general, if you went you could look for drivers updated on www.hp.com/go/support in support and drivers to see if a new sound driver is available.

WANTED m6 that no audio output device is installed
Hi, I was looking at a CD on my m6 DESIRE last night and it worked fine. Today, I have the speaker with a red icon in the lower right corner of the screen and when hovering over it says "no audio output device is installed". I tried to uninstall the device driver, but that didn't fix it there.
The driver for device "IDT High Definition Audio Codec" under sound, video and game in Device Manager controllers also has a yellow exclamation point. When I uninstall and reboot, sometimes just with the yellow mark again. If I try to upgrade the driver, I get an error message "Windows found driver software for your device, but has encountered an error trying to install it." A device attached to the system does not work.
Help...
Installation of this driver fixed the problem: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en & cc = US & swItem = ob-109687-1 & jumpid = reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0002

Hello
Go to the Device Manager and in order to choose the hidden devices.
Now you should see all the devices that are available on this system. Now go to the sound, video and game controllers and remove the Intel(r) High Definition Audio HDMI, audio Conexant high definition Smart, etc.
In system devices, remove the Microsoft UAA Bus driver for high definition.
Now, restart the laptop.
After the new operating system reboot Windows should recognize all devices again.
Check this box!If this does not download the Conexant audio driver and reinstall
