No bounding box

I need help once more...  I was working on a newsletter...  17 x 11.    I finished 1 side of her I had put several pictures and a logo.  (I had of bounding boxes different probably 6-8).  When starting across the document, I realized that I didn't put it up to have 2 columns.   This is probably where I messed up, but I opened a new document... put in place with the 2 monofores and placed one I worked in the new document.

Now, I'm done and realize that 1 side that was finished when I placed it in the new doc has 1 single bounding box that moves the entire page.  I wanted to replace one of the logo and I can't click on just the logo.   I used the text tool and make a bounding box but it moves only the box and the type remains. I can't group them because it is not highlighted.  Is it possible to fix this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

When you place a document page in another you create a link. This is useful if you want to use the same content in multiple documents different or multiple times in a single document and be able to change in one place and update all instances at once. In your case, however, it would be better to MOVE the page to the new file, or copy and "paste in place" the contents of a file to the other to keep editable. To make changes in the imported file, you must return to the original and change it.

  • How can you turn on and off this bounding box?

    Hello

I work with a group of students in AfterEffects and showed students how to move an object.  There is a bounding box appears around the work of everyone with the exception of a student and for the life of me I can not understand how to market.  I'm probably using the wrong name for it, but I enclose a photo.

Could someone point me toward putting in - should I use to activate it?

This is the layer handles. See-> see the layer controls to turn it on. If the layer controls are on and you see her always, click on the compose window and choose View-> display options and see that the "handles" is checked.

  • PDTextSelectGetBoundingRect and PDETextGetBBox producing different bounding boxes

I used PDTextSelectGetBoundingRect to get the bounding box of a single character, then I used PDETextGetBBox to retrieve the character bounding boxes in a PDEText element. However when I get to the character in question limit box will not come out the same. The left, right and the sides of the bottom of the box are coming as planned, but the top is larger, then the original box from PDTextSelectGetBoundingRect. Any idea on what could be the issue.

These are not only different API, they are conceptually different and work in different ways (one on content EDP page, an abstraction of the graphical model and one on the PDWordFinder, a text extractor). I'm surprised that they are also similar because they are given many different concepts of "enclosing" you might find (square em, limit of control point, nominal path, path antialisesed limit, advance left-right text...)

The mixture of these unfortunate necessity of the API isn't. You must apply a fuzzy logic to match its content and hope for the best.

  • Check if the bounding box is another setting of

Using the PDETextIsAtRect function, I discovered that if returns items that do not part of the bounding box. So I wanted to know if I have two bounding boxes, is it possible to check if the an element bounding box is located in the bx covering something else.

This isn't valid C. Eh well, clearly, it compiles, but it doesn't do very well what you think. You cannot use form one<= b=""><= c,="" only="" compare="" two="" things,="" not="">

  • How to create a bounding box in Photoshop CS6?

    Hello, group.

The other day, I saw an Adobe web page that showed a picture whose part was a sheet inside. The sheet was locked in a bounding box. However, it seems unlikely that the person working on this image needed (where this picture was concerned) for the text tool. If you need to place a block of type within a bounding box, you simply select the text tool and drag. This creates a bounding box.

What of those occasions when no text is at issue, but simply a physical object in the picture? How to create a bounding box for this?

Thank you for all the helpful tips.

    S.G.

You can also use the move tool, with "Show transform controls" checked in the options.

  • Reset bounding box

In versions before 2015 Illustrator, choose object > transform > reset the rectangle encompassing would reset the bounding box so that she was right, even if an object had been turned. Now, if the shape is created with a basic shape tools, as the polygon, this command does nothing, it is not correct the bounding box.

Does anyone know how to reset the bounding box on forms of base in CC?

It seems that we are stuck with it if we want to have forms of living. If you go to object > shape > expand your shape, you can reset the bounding box. But if you then go object > shape > convert shape, the bounding box jumps to angle.

Thus, the choice is currently Live forms or reset the bounding boxes, but not both. That answer your question?

  • I want to fill track of Image with white people, but not the bounding box

I want to fill track of Image with white people, but not the bounding box.

I have several black and white pen and ink sketches that I want to scan to JPEG, make a record of the image in the drawing line and have "encompassing" transparent but keep the white background in the image.

Is there a way to do this?

You would need to expand the trace, and then remove the 'bounding box white' after tracing.

  • No bounding box using the drawinmg object.

    Hello

To animate a CC, I find that if I draw a circle with the Oval tool in object drawing Mode, there is no encompassing visible around the object.

My understanding is that a bounding box should appear around objects in Object Drawing Mode.

Can someone explain this? I use a wacom with OSX 10.11.2 stylus

    Thank you.

It is a change with the new version. Limits will be consistent with the actual shape of the object to place the rectangular outline that you are used to seeing.

  • When you change the text, all the text in the bounding box is removed...

I have a PDF file that was created in a different version of Adobe. The Adobe program, I am currently working with that is Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. It is on a Windows 7 PC. When I change the text in the 'framework', any word, I try to change, all of the text in the box is removed. How can I stop this from happening?

Nevermind, I figured it. I had select the bounding box and select "bring forward" under the "objects" tool

  • Why the bounding boxes are different between the XI Acrobat Pro and Acrobat DC?

    Hello

Firstly apologies if this been asked elsewhere, but so far I have failed to find a solution.

I have Acrobat Pro XI and Acrobat DC, each on two different PCs using Windows 8. Why the function edit text & Images interprets the same PDF document differently when displaying the bounding boxes. In Pro XI he produced 7 inclusive about 7 decent size paragraphs of text only. In MS bounding boxes are reduced to only 3 each effectively covering most thick of text in the document. To quickly select 3 of 7 bounding boxes to remove them entirely from my PDF seems not to be possible in DC, where I appear instead of having to select large portions of the text instead and delete accordingly.

I don't see where in preferences maybe you can change the 'sensibility' or 'threshold' to distribute a PDF file in smaller sizes (but more) bounding boxes. Is it possible to make DC behave like a Pro XI?

    Any help would be appreciated.

These boxes are the result of speculation, well enough. The algorithm behind

He probably changed between versions, so the different results.

There is nothing you can do about it.

  • Help please with bounding boxes!

    Hello

I'm new to Illustrator and I have a problem with what I think are the bounding boxes. All my bounding around text and image boxes are missing, so I can't resize or change the text as a paragraph or resize objects. Instead a bounding box appears around my work plan alone, then I can only resize everything as a whole. After you have clicked several times to select a paragraph, it appears (see photo). This possibility only to remove and re-add the text on a single line, but I'm unable to select or change the entire paragraph. Also out of the tool bar above my fonts and and size appear no more.

How can I get my return to normal bounding boxes? Or if not the bounding boxes, what do you think is the problem?    Thank you!!Screen Shot 2015-09-25 at 10.11.36 PM.png

    you open a PDF file?

Check the layers panel to review the structure of the document and then solve it.

  • Why are anchor points and bounding boxes is visible overprint preview?

I've recently updated my CC 2014-2015 CC Illustrator and have noticed a really annoying change. I can only view/edit the bounding boxes and anchor points, while in the overprint preview. In the view/show edges and view display the bounding box does not help. It shows it as being already visible. Anyone else having this problem?

Disable the GPU performance. (There is an icon of rocket to the top left of your window).

  • Hate the new GUI bounding box

In InDesign CS, the bounding box blue appearing around an object when selected was very helpful, but in InDesign CC, encompassing which includes several objects when selected new blue is very annoying and confusing. Can someone tell me how to disable?

It is not the end of the world. I just asked in case there was a way to turn it off.

Make your choice, then press A.

A and V will toggle the bounding power on and off

  • How to get a vertical Automatic centering of the text of paragraph in its bounding box in a composition of model.

I use a composition of model to replace the different lengths of text in a number of instances of a graph custom in first Pro CC2015. The custom graph contains a circle shape with the text of the model implemented in the form of text of paragraph with its bounding box centered above the circle. Although I can justify to center text horizontally within the bounding box, I can't find a way to center the text vertically within the bounding box. The solution I'm looking for should work automatically with the text of different length strings used for different instances throughout the first sequence.

No, there is no such thing. You could probably create an installation complicated with a host of text, possibly with an expression, but if not, you will need to manually adjust.
