No cell service

Since I've upgraded to IOS 9.3 on my iPad 2, my cell connection does not work.  Instead of "AT & T" he says: 'no Service '.

Assuming that you have checked the SIM card in another device and did a hard reboot and upgraded to 9.3.1, that has come out recently. Then, I would try a reset network settings:

Settings - general - reset - network

Hope this helps

  • Feb update of security don't fail - no cell service

    Hi all
I know there is another thread opened on the February security update, but I thought my situation was a little different from others who have posted.

    Here's the skinny...

I received the notification for the Android February security update, and after reboot, I have no cell service. Don't call, SMS, no cell data.

Tried to FDR, clear the cache, airplane mode and safe mode and still no cell service.

Should I return my phone warranty? Is there someone you can climb it in order to re - push the update to my phone by IMEI?

I really want to avoid having to unlock the charger startup and load side android stock for reasons of stability and security.

    Any thoughts?

  • I have an iphone 5 s. I switched from Verizon to the blank cell service, now I want to switch to cellular consumption. But the CC sim card will not work because the phone is "locked." What to do, who to contact without hose of my phone?

How to unlock iphone 5s so that I can pass the cell phone service?

Start by contacting AppleCare to determine the true state of the phone lock. No Verizon iPhone since the 4 was sold in a locked state. Thus, unless Virgin did something to the phone, he should be unblocked. Apple will be able to tell you if the phone is locked in fact and, if so, what kind of society.

  • Test the application on a device, 8130 with no cell service

This is my first post. Thanks for all the help I got already the search of this forum.

I have an application that communicates with a web service over https.  It works fine on the Simulator and now I'd like to test it on a real device.

I have a 8130 which had once been on the Sprint Network (no SIM card) but no longer service the active cell.  I would like to use as a testbed and potentially also collect other templates, but I don't want to have a service contract carrier of cell running on all my test devices.

When I connect the 8130 to the PC with the USB cable, I can download my app and run it and even debugging, but the service book has no entries and the application cannot get to my intranet.  If I run the browser on the device, it says "your device has no entries in the directory service configuration is any browser"

I tried to run the Desktop Manager and MDS Services Simulator.  They did not provide for any connectivity.

What is the trick to provide similar internet/intranet connectivity to a physical device of Blackberry via USB without going through a cell phone

    the contracts? Is this possible?

I don't have a BES.  Do I need to configure a BES in a test configuration?

If this is not possible then how are you guys test your applications on a variety of actual devices?

    Thanks much for any help.

    Bill

No matter what the mechanism of connection is used, you have only two original ways

    (1) thanks to a plan by the carrier data...

    (2) thanks to a WiFi hotspot...

If your test device only supports WiFi too, so sorry you can not test...

    See you soon...

  • No Service, iPhone 7 more from AT & T

Just the iPhone Plus 7 and it worked fine for a bout 4-5 days. Then, I used Google Maps yesterday to go to a ball game. After using Google Maps, my cell service has been abandoned and continue to see 'No. Service' on my iPhone 7 more (on AT & T in the neighborhood of Manhattan NYC, so it CERTAINLY isn't the coverage area).

Have any other products of iPhone (iPhone 6, iPhone SE) and NO of them have coverage problems. Entered the AT & T store today and they changed the SIM card this morning but the problems persist. Apart from the usual reboot, reset network, hard reset, still getting the No Service issue. From time to time I get service him can't seem to get consistent service from the new iPhone.

Really annoyed and even worse, is that I can't even call an Apple customer service because they need to call my phone number. How can Apple Customer Care call me when I can't even a stable connection on my phone? tried to have Apple call my work number, but it's an automated system and that doesn't seem to work.

The guy at the store, AT & T (corporate store, no franchise) says it has been a big problem with the new iPhone last 7 days 3-4.

There are other phones in this world in addition to your iPhone. Call the Apple Service and give them another phone number, to which you have access.

  • IPhone 6 + service research/no since iOS 10.

Since I have updated to iOS 10. My cell service has been slowly getting worse and about 6 days ago. He totally exploded and never returned. Went to my cell provider and there was nothing they could do. I did every difficulty, you possibly can. My cell provider also said it has spent a lot with all Iphones. Yet, here we are almost a week later. Apple do nothing to solve this problem. Because it is not my phone by any means and is all the software.

    Hello BrettB621,

Please ask questions on your iPhone and any service issues since iOS 10 here in Apple Support communities. I understand how it is important to have a reliable phone. I'll be happy to check it out with you.

The first thing we want to make sure is that all your data is safe. You can perform a backup in iCloud or iTunes using this article: backing up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Once your data is safe, please visit this help article: If you can not connect to a cellular or mobile data network.

If you still experience the same problems after the troubleshooting provided in this article above, steps please try to restore your device from a backup by using this article help: restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup. If you don't have a current backup, please try this help article: If you cannot update or restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support. Please pay close attention when you get to step 4 who said "when you see the option restore or put to update, choose update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data. "to get your iOS reinstalled. Test if the issue is still ongoing.

Thanks again and have a great rest of your day.

  • "No cell coverage" not listed in the use of the battery

During the audit of the use of the battery parameters, on an iPad 2 Air, WiFi and cellular, upgrade 10.0.2, 'No cell coverage' is listed and uses a lot of battery percentage. This never happened since the purchase of the iPad two years ago. I've recently updated to iOS 10.0.2 and T-Mobile as the cellular carrier. This occurs when the two Wi - Fi AND cellular data are turned off. I barely use the cell service as it is, first of all just use wifi, and I never leave the cellular data connection on when you do not. I noticed a few days ago a T-Mobile "Carrier Update" has been pushed to the iPad. Someone else with the same situation?

Hi there, stumped127! Thank you for using communities of support from Apple!

Use of your iPad 2 Air indicates that it is looking for service even if you have data Wi - Fi and cell phone turned off after update to iOS 10.0.2. Given that mobile data is off, it shouldn't have an impact on the battery and I will be happy to help you with this. Be sure to test after each numbered step.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch --before troubleshooting a device, I always recommend a fresh backup. It is preferable "to have" one to the 'need' to a backup.

    1. forcing a nearby app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - first, quit all running applications, and then restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - never underestimate the power of a good restart.

    2. reset the iPad settings - do not forget to write your networks, Wi-Fi/passwords before you start. On your iPad, go to settings > general > reset > reset all settings. This step returns your iPad to factory default settings. Test and if that solves the problem, use your backup to restore your settings.

    Take care!

  • How the process in two steps of authentication does not work if you are not in an area of cellular service

Outside cellular service areas, IS those who know how the two step aunthicatuon process works in an iPhone 6, using the operating system iOS 9.3.4?  Would a being completely locked out of their iphone and apple services until they could find themselves in a cell service area? Or can it be accessed by a public wifi? Who beg to differ on whether or not it is beneficial to use when you travel?

I did a little research to see if all Apple items shed light...

See "How it works" in the Apple ID - Apple Support for two-factor authentication - a time that a device is approved, he'll never ask again unless you perform one or more of several things to "break the connection.

If I were you, I would spend it TURNED off if you fear that one of these things could happen while you might not be able to obtain the code by SMS

Frequently asked questions about the audit in two steps for Apple ID - Apple Support

I'm confused as to why Apple would use two different expressions for what seems to be the same:

    • "Two -authentication"- and
    • "Two -step".

The above two articles begin with a statement like: [underlining is unique, "BOLD" is synonymous with]

"Two-factor authentication is just an extra layer of security of your ID Apple aiming to sure you are the only person who can access to your account, even if someone knows your password."

«The two-step verification is an additional security feature for your Apple which designed to prevent anyone to access or use your account, same ID is they know your password.»

Maybe someone with more experience can shed some light on your question and MY confusion?

  • Without wifi, cellular service or hotspot: is there a way to print to a printer AirPrint from iPad?

    Hello

I travel a bit and I'm looking for the ideal iPad/AirPrint printer installation. In some places, wifi is unstable or not supplied. Cellular service may be non-existent. I have an iPhone that has no personal hotspot capabilities, but without cell service, I can't create a direct connection to the printer. I could go outside to get cellular service, but this would require moving with my printer and find an outlet for the printer.

Without wifi, cellular service or a personal hotspot, is possible to print from an iPad on an AirPrint printer?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes. A number of printers can create their own special WiFi networks. I know that HP makes a few of them. I'm sure there are others available.

  • If I buy a new iPad in the United States (cell

I am traveling to the United States shortly and by looking at the price I want to put on an amount of $200 on the iPad + pen + keyboard, but I was wondering if the iPad obviously work OK in Australia - Aussie SIM card

    < published by host >

You probably won't have a valid warranty then - this is an excerpt of the guarantee:

IMPORTANT RESTRICTION for iPHONE, iPAD AND APPLE TV SERVICE.

Apple may restrict service guarantee for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV in the country where Apple or its distributors allowed initially sold the unit.

    from there:

    http://www.Apple.com/legal/warranty/products/iOS-warranty-document-us.html

So I would not recommend it as you would yourself. No idea re. the SIM/cell service - I suggest to check you with a provider in your country.

  • iPad connects to the cellular service

After the update my iPad connects to the cellular service.  It is also much slower.

You can't be alone on this, take a look at this other thread no cell service

Did you do a hard reboot since the iOS upgrade?  As I mentioned in the other thread, if you can check the SIM card in another device that I think will prove that it is an iOS issue potentially and then try a reset settings network

  • Lost mode works on iPhone that has more service?

My iPhone was stolen, and at the time wherever I tried to activate mode lost the phone was switched off or put in airplane mode. The phone is password protected, so I'm not worried that it be used necessarily. My question is if I remove cellular service in the phone (I need to buy a replacement for this issue at this stage) lost mode again will activate the next time, the phone is switched on if it has no cell service more?

No, I don't think. If it has no service, the phone goes into lost mode, unless it turns or airplane mode is disabled.

  • Everyone there knows that more than Apple support? No service after 9.2.1 update. Argh! Help! Help! Help!

I have a first generation iPad mini. It has built in WiFi and cell service with AT & T. I update to 9.2.1 after ping with update notifications to the new operating system. I have updated and now it says that I have no service. I did everything what was advised to remedy and I have no case. I reset the network settings. It would connect and disconnect within 30 seconds and remain unplugged. Airplane mode tried and no help. Shot data cell off & on and zilch. I broke finally completed and reset, delete content and settings. I backed up to iCloud before resetting. I hope that my content is in the cloud. When it's that can be. No worse no service. I finally threw in the towel and called the Apple support. Put on hold for 10 minutes and transferred to someone who was without assistance at all. She advised me to call my career that I immediately hooked and called AT & T. On hold again, but only for 2 minutes and a great guy, tried everything to solve the problem. He told me that my SIM card could not receive the signal from the cell. He said that my SIM card was bad and I needed a new one which may or may not solve the problem. He told me to go to the Apple store and have them look at my problem and, possibly, repair or change my SIM card. Why an update killed my sim card and how this happen? I spent my weekend driving me crazy trying to fix the destruction of this update! I have my iPad connected to the point where I have to work onMnday. I'm stuck on an ambulance for 12 hours. No Netflix, Hulu, or Facebook between calls running and save lives? It will be as * on Earth. I think Apple should all of us who have problems with their bug-infested update, a new iPad or a quick hotfix. You get an iPad and an iPad. We all get a new iPad. Oprah did, and Apple has more money than him. At least, I think they do. Solve the problem, please, now. Call, text, email or just after the fix. Difficulty of my SIM card in the comfort of my home or my ambulance. I don't have time to waste my precious days holiday queues at your store. I have a family that I rarely see, a House that needs cleaning and a life to enjoy. Anyway, my question is...   No one knows how to fix this? A home remedy because until now, the Apple support has been useless. Thanks in advance to all the tech guys who will answer with the solution. I need are a big which is a good thing its always good when a Medic must is a.

So what have you done that AT & T has proposed and go to the Apple store and have the SIM card replaced? It seems to me that if the tech AT & T has proposed this, obviously. Electronic devices (SIM cards) are not bad and this is not something that can be resolved by phone. A replacement is usually needed.
