• BlackBerry 10 Confusion with the OS versions

Good evening

where can I find which version number is the latest version of the BB OS? I couldn't find the number on the BB site, but found one in the English Wikipedia: 10.3.2.2789.

My phone (Q10) says he has the version of the 10.3.2.2474 software and the operating system version 10.3.2.2639, and it is said that this version is the latest version.

How comes that this number is different so the wikipedia article and where can I find the correct version in the BB Web site?

Thanks for any information.

Q.

Hello

Yes, it is a matter of confusion. But do not understand that it is not strictly BBs responsibility to clear up the confusion. Indeed, BB control only a tiny part of the OS release cycle to end users. BB releases OS packages they approve in the world at the same time... but he returned to service businesses and other entities to control final to decide if/when a BONE should be released to their set of end users. Therefore, it is very likely for two holders of the exact model same device to have two different answers to the question of 'the latest OS', for this answer depends on each entity having approved control and pulled him out of their set of users.

Complicating things is the difference between the OS and the version of the software. Reference:

Depending on who you work and what is the context, you may need to understand both of them and be sure that you talk about appropriate things so that understanding can arise between the parties to the communication. Version of the software is, basically, a conglomerate of BONES, Radio and other versions in the package... However, I don't know, how they derive the values of version of the software. I find that in most cases, it is wise to always use two values in discussions (e.g., "OS10.3.2.2639/SR10.3.2.2474").

You do not have... I have never found that a BB OS/SR easily visible Web page free. There are utilities that can be obtained and executed on BB servers to discover the information, but they are technical, time-consuming and a lot of time to properly interpret the results. I have, however, recently created a list of all the values of BB10 OS/SR, going back... some time to refer:

Once again, however, it is only what BB has published the world... He said nothing that any specific control entity (for example, companies) may or may not have approved for their set of users. Via the official/automatic methods, you will only be offered which your control entity approved. Using unofficial methods to get anything other than that.

Good luck!

• Software Version Upgradation

Hi Experts,

We have Cisco VC configuration with details as below:

1. Control of VCS with version X.7.0.1
2. MCU 4501 with software version 4.2 (1.46)
3. Codec C40 with version TC4.2.1.265253

The existing installation works independently and not integrated with Cisco Call Manager. Now, since we need to integrate VC with Call Setup Manager 10.5, so, we must update the versions of above material according to the link thebelow

http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/voice_ip_comm/uc_system/unified/communications/system/versions/IPTMtrix.html#pgfId-1163447

So, my question is on the pre-requistie to keep in mind as any DRAM or we can simply upgrade to the latest version now and later on we can upgrade integrate with Call Manager 10

Finally, I can find the firmware TC6.3.3 and TC7.3.0 to C40. Which one should I go to?

regds,

Aman

You can go directly to TC 6.x or TC7.x if you want to, with all the different security issues, probably the best going with the latest version of the software. Just need a version key valid since it is a major release of the version you currently have.

Looking to register your telepresence to CUCM codecs? If so, suggest you read Administration of running TC7.2 on 10.5 UCM endpoints. If you plan to save your end points of CUCM, you CUCM destined firmware. If you plan to save your VCS or use as a standalone codec, then the software package that you have surrounded in your image, it is what you want.

VCS will require a release key as well, since it will be a major version upgrade, the latest version is X8.5 that came out last month. MCU requires that no key release at all, so you can improve it without concern.

If you have valid support contracts you can get the keys to release of Cisco Licensing Portal, select "Get the other licenses", then "Telepresence Software Release Key.

I googled a solution. some tips suggested me to use vb6cli.exe (a utility designed to solve the problems of license with ActiveX controls). http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/194751

so bad, when I install vb6cli.exe, it shows "Visual Basic 6.0 is not detected on this system".

I don't know if I should install Visual Basic 6.0 Enginee?

• Maximum length of the SQL command

I created a MySQL database and a LabView 8.6 application that inserts data into the database using the SQL Toolbox. I have a problem very long character data insertion in a LONGTEXT field. I determined that the problem occurs when the SQL command is more than 1 048 574 characters or the length of a particular field exceeds 1 048 326 characters (cannot say who).

The error I get is "error-2147467259 occurred at NI_Database_API.lvlib:Conn Execute.vi. "Exception occurred in the Microsoft OLE DB provider for ODBC drivers: [MySQL] [ODBC 5.1 Driver] [mysqld - 5.1.35 - community] MySQL version disappeared in NI_Database_API.lvlib:Conn Execute.vi.

According to the MYSQL documentation, a LONGTEXT can 4294967295 characters, so length shouldn't be a problem. The documentation also indicates "the effective maximum length of LONGTEXT columns also depends on the maximum packet size that is configured in the client/server protocol and available memory", but I don't know how to configure the packet size in LabView.

I enclose the code example that reproduces the problem, although it is based on a special run table structure effectively. The table definition is included on the diagram.

This setting must be configured outside of LabVIEW (UDL or DSN).

You must configure the server and the client:

I found this link while searching on stackoverflow

http://dev.MySQL.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/packet-too-large.html

You may need to select/Configure a specific vendor (different) in order to set this variable.

• Taskeng error (Vista Ultimate). PC will not properly shutdown

Hey Microsoft board gurus,

(Running Vista Ultimate on a Dell Optiplex 330)

SHUTDOWN PROBLEM, here is what happens:

1. I use start menu & off the pc.
2. PC seems to turn off (but a few small red lights twinkling near the power button / at the front of the Tower & the rest of button IT turned on.)
3. After about 10 minutes, the PC then restarts by itself
4. He can complain about "an unscheduled stop.
5. Then
6. I stopped again, and finally, it shuts

Sometimes to get it off, I have to make a hold in the power button. I know that regularly isn't good for the computer.

At some point after the pc auto-entrée back, he sent this taskeng error, so maybe this is a hint on the cause of the problem.

• I tried to do a restore from the registry to May 7 (a date the pc was ok), tried ending taskeng before stopping, and I let a Windows system/repair/recovery Volume and still have the problem.
• Thinking maybe the computer was in the middle of the installation of Windows updates when I turn me off my PC at night, I have reviewed the updates of Windows 'Important' that were pending / CCEd would be / available, and they are useless for me (Office 2007 and IE) and should not have been install.
• I tried a few other things, and the problem happens even about half time or more when I turned off the PC for the night.
• I spoke to Microsoft; they don't help me without paying because my license code Vista is OEM, meaning that Dell is responsible for helping me. Dell will not help me without paying because they say that it is a software problem and those who are not included in no charge technical support and was told to talk to Microsoft.

Any advice to get my computer to close normally again? It is very annoying because it takes TWO stops in about 10 min. OR a hold-in button stop making my PC actually turn off. The text of the error below. Thank you.

You said Details of the bugcheck 0x9f - DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. "This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state." The problem is that "a device object has been blocking an IRP for too long."

You can download the contents of the c:\windows\minidump on SkyDrive and provide a link?

Consider the following general guidelines for dealing with bluescreens.

Consider running chkdsk on all partitions. Leave complete chkdsk on each partition and see if that helps.

Also consider running SFC/scannow.

If you start in safe mode, do you still feel bugs? What if you do a clean boot, or boot device?

Consider the memory with memtest86 or Windows Memory Diagnostic test. Note that memory that pass the tests isn't necessarily good memory - he not only failed a review. Examine systematically to eliminate the system RAM - run with a few modules for awhile and see how things are going. Then try the other modules.

Other common suggestions include ensuring drivers are up to date, but also to ensure that you use the latest version of the BIOS.

It may be useful to use the driver verifier. To activate the... Driver Verifier start-> verifier.exe-> OK-> create standard settings-> next-> driver select the names to a list-> next-> sort by provider-> select all other Microsoft drivers-> finish and OK your way out of the dialog box.

Then restart and use the system as you normally and wait for a problem. In case the system does not completely start after activation of the Verifier, boot mode safe and run driver verifier and tell him to remove the changes.

Wait for a bugcheck occurs after you have enabled the auditor as described, and then download the dump on your SkyDrive and provide a link.

• CIM & P compatibility

Hello

I have a silly question, I've been checking here for CUCM / CIM & P compatibility:

http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/voice_ip_comm/CUCM/im_presence/comp...

And I found this remark:

Note 9.1 (x) IM and presence Service Release is only supported with Cisco Unified Communications Manager version 9.1 (x).

I think that no matter what 9.1 (x) CIM & P is compatible with CUCM 9.1 (1) and 9.1 2 or

CIM & P 9.1 (1) is only compatible with CUCM 9.1 (1)?

Thank you

Compatibility is only level X.Y, the only exception is 10.5 that go all the way to X.Y (Z) compatibility level.
