For me, maybe I need to reinstall windows 7 and startup tasks are corrupt. I have my product key genuine for the computer, but no way to get to windows. How to restore windows on a netbook that won't start?
original title: Netbook Windows 7 problemNew computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.
If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling.

Hello
I have a laptop Portege A600-133.
First of all, it is slow at the opening of my computer screen.Second: after ejecting a disc dvd or cd, Windows still shows the contents of the disc, the system hangs for a while, a USB unplug sound can be heard and the dvd player disappears from Windows (in my computer / Explorer / Device Manager)
What this may be?
I did already the round of upper/lower filters in the registry, but it does not solve the problem...
I opened the computer laptop and checked the wiring to the dvd drive, cleaned the contacts, supported on the connectors. But the problem is still there...
OS = Windows XP SP3Kind regards

Hello
My first idea was to remove the upper and lower registry key filters, but it seems that you have already done this.
Nevertheless, here is a knowledge of MS on the upper and lower filters article mentioned.

USB ports, CD/DVD player, and Mike just does not work
So I'm pretty sure that these things are happening at the same time, although there are risks my trying to troubleshoot the USB ports have contributed to the failure of the microphone (internal and will not capture sound) and cd/dvd drive (not open). Perhaps? It is true that I know little about these kinds of things, but I'm much less following the indications which is what I did to try to tackle the problem of USB port, which was the first I noticed. I followed all the advice I could find online for troubleshooting when all usb ports do not respond. I used Device Manager to disable in its regular and safe mode. I also uninstalled them all in both modes (even if they reinstall until I'm able to restart). I unplugged and wait 5, 10, 15 min etc. There was a difficulty mentioned about watching the. Mine and INF files do not contain the mentioned error. I'm tempted to all my files backup and restore the computer to factory settings, especially now that the CD/DVD player and the micro does not work. This would solve the problem? If these things are related? Could even restore settings because I can't have in the cd/dvd drive? It's a dell inspiron 1721, and it crushed while you restart for almost a whole day just all the time I've began to notice all these malfunctions. I really appreciate any guidance!
Good so I solved all of these problems. I don't know what did the trick, but when I went back in the BIOS to re - activate the ports they have worked!

IS does not recognize the drive HARD internal
I have three, all from a school lab, that have been linked with other positive points and printers.
They are connected are not together anymore.
All three have a floppy drive and a HARD drive. Will only boot from the HARD drive.
At startup, the other two do not recognize their HARD drive and I use ea disk with the system in this regard.
Since hard drives are not 'seen' I am unable to do anything with them: fix, set up as a boot drive, etc.
They begin with the usual chimes and the Mac with the question mark, I slip the disk in and they complete commissioning.
The internal drive spin up and the indicator light flashes.
They do not show the drive HARD internal on the screen, but will show an external.
I haven't started to swap parts between the good and the other two.
Does anyone have an idea on how to activate an invisible HARD drive?
You will need to use the boot floppy disks to start the machines to run the repair disk, partition and format the HARD drive if it is still functional. Only then can you install Mac OS on the HARD drive. That's all that I remember.

Hello
This error may be coming because of unavailable storage required for the motherboard drivers. You can follow the steps one by one, mentioned below and check if that helps.
Method 1: Uninstall, and then reconnect the external hard drive. This method solves the problems where the currently loaded USB driver has become corrupt or unstable.
- Click Start, type Device Manager in the box Search
- Click Device Manager in the returned list.
- Click disk drives in the list of hardware
- Right click on the USB external hard drive with the question and click Uninstall.
- Once the hard drive is uninstalled, disconnect the USB cable.
- Wait 1 minute and then reconnect the USB cable. The driver should load automatically
- Look for the USB key in Windows Explorer
Note: Connection of your USB external hard drive to a non powered USB hub can cause a lack of sufficient power to operate the external drive. Instead, plug it directly into your computer.
Method 2: Install the latest Windows updates.
This method will install the latest drivers for your external hard drive USB device.
- Click the Start button, type Windows Update in the search box, and then click Windows Update in the results pane.
- Click find updates. When the scan finished, click optional review updates.
- Click the check box next to the update, and then click install updates.
- If you are prompted, read the license agreement, then click I agree.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to download and install updates.
- If you are prompted, restart your computer.
If your problem still exists, go to method 3.
Method 3: Reinstall the USB controllers. This method addresses the steps where the USB driver currently loaded became unstable or corrupted.
- Click Start, type device in the area Manager Search , and then click Device Manager.
- Expand Bus USB controllers. Right click on a device, and then click Uninstall. Repeat for each device.
- When finished, restart your computer. Your USB controllers will automatically install.
If your problem persists, go to method 4.
Method 4: Disable USB selective suspend framework. This method prevents your power off USB external drive.
- Click the Start button, type power management in the search box, and then click choose a power plan.
- Next to your currently selected plan, click Change Plan settings.
- Click change advanced power settings.
- Click in the box USBsettings, and then expand the USB selective suspend settings.
- Click on the area, and then click the menu drop down and select disabled.
- If you use a laptop, click the cell, and then click the menu drop down and select disabled.
- Click apply, and then click OK.
If this does not resolve your issue, go to method 5.
Method 5: Install the latest drivers for your motherboard chipset. This method updates the chipset of your motherboard drivers, so that your computer will use your external USB hard drive.
- See the documentation for your computer that will contain the name of the manufacturer of the motherboard.
- Visit your computer manufacturer's support Web site. For a list of the computer manufacturers support sites, visit: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/help/contact-support/computer-manufacturers
(http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/help/contact-support/computer-manufacturers)
- Go to their Web site to find the appropriate drivers for your motherboard. For assistance, contact the manufacturer of your computer.
Please post with the State of the question.

Re: Satellite - DVD player and the micro does not work
Can someone help me please?
My DVD player works but it doesn't show anything on the screen, I think that it s a problem with the registry keys and another problem is that my plug in microphone works, but when I insert a micro my computer freezes for 10 minutes and then stops.
Thank you.
Hello
First of all, it would be interesting what model of laptop you have now.
This would be really useful, you know> My DVD player works but it doesn't show anything on the screen, I think that it s a problem with the registry keys
I'm scared of m I m not quite sure what you mean exactly by it doesn t show anything on the screen.
You see the CD/DVD drive in Device Manager and my computer? If the CD/DVD drive is not visible in my computer then go into Device Manager, remove the ODD (CD/DVD drive) of the list of devices.
Then access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}Finally, restart the laptop.
With regard to the question of jack mic.
I don't know why your laptop crashes after plugging the microphone, but maybe you should check if it is not a software problem.
You can check if the same question would appear after the new installation of the OS.
I know it's a radical step, but it could be useful. -

Hi DonnieS,
As you mentioned in your post, it is usually caused due to corruption in file registry of pilots. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it works for you.
Method 1:
The known last good Configuration feature is a recovery option that you can use to start your computer by using the most recent settings that worked. The known last good Configuration feature restores all information and the driver registry settings that were in effect the last time the computer started successfully.
Refer to the following article in Microsoft Help to boot last known good configuration:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-last-known-good-configuration
Method 2:
Try to reinstall the drivers from CD/DVD and check if it helps. This is to check if the problem is caused due to the corruption of driver's record or not.
To uninstall and reinstall the device drivers, see the following Microsoft TechNet article.
http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc725782.aspx
Please reply with the status of the issue so that we can better help you.
