• Question of InDesign CS6 folio builder/links. For iPad.

  Hello. I'm a graphic designer who is very experienced in InDesign using the software to fine printing. I am now branching out with CS6 capabilities and learning design (mainly presentation) applications for the iPad. So I designed a portfolio as a document of several pages including the page orientation to portrait and landscape. The app consists of a sheet of starter that would be a load of animation exported as swf and back imported in InDesign such as HTML5, or MP4, or however (I've nailed it yet because I leave this until the last that this page will be used as screensaver until swiped). When the Viewer slide page 1 they enter the main page "content" with a load of thumbnails within these customers and clients I have charge of case studies. So, I have pretty much designed the layout and that you have to build, but I need to know what I'm limited by.

  content of page 2 (with the scroll bar with links to other pages)

  page 3 will be the 1st client and will need about 6 case studies, I guess I'll need to make additional pages. And so on.

  In any case, I digress the question I ask is the one to download and test on the iPad via the content player I obviously need to download items in the form of separate pages (incorporating the guidelines both H & V), but I would make the links on my page "content" when the document is a multipage document (IE in its original state) or apply I have these links (as buttons I guess rather than) hyperlinks) when the articles have been separated and I work with page 01, 02, 03 etc in folio Builder? I know not how to create thumbnail buttons but I can't work out how to link them to their desired targets (next page/page no. / etc. etc.) for the record, I would like to present my work on an iPad as an application, without relying on WIFI or 3 G. Last question (phew) is that I have a picture frame with a slide show-is it possible for the Viewer to click on them and open them in full-screen and flick/navigate through this way? then click on a cross in the back of the top corner of the page to the screen they were on. • Turn off auto identify you for folio Builder?

  I teach at a University.  We'll start to DPS (CS6) today and I'm having a problem.  When I run Folio Builder in InDesign, it asks my Adobe ID and password.  The problem-it will not forget!  Even when I sign in, once I raise the InDesign and Folio Builder it automatically connect to my folios.  It is a problem when I have several students who use the same laboratory.  When I connected at the start, it indicates that this computer will remember my account and there is no option for "never save log in and password."  Help!  We use Macs 10.8 + with Adobe CS6.

  «If you use the ID CS6 or CC remove the folder /Users/ {username} / Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE.» Now, when you start InDesign it will come with the sign in dialog box and no autosign in the Panel Builder Folio. Certainly not elegant but it should accomplish your goal. »

• Folio Builder in CS6

  In Indesign CS6, Folio Builder gives me the following message is displayed: "a software update is required to use Digital Publishing Suite. Please, go to the Help menu and select updates to get the necessary software "." However, I am sure that I am fully updated with my software (especially Indesign) and if I try to use IndesignCC, it works very well. What should I do if I want to use Indesign CS6? Is there another piece of software, I need to download or update?

  When you update InDesign CS6, you see an option to update the DPS Office Tools? You can manually update the DPS Desktop Tools here:

  I just downloaded the application InDesign CC2015 to a new PC. I worked on a portfolio in Adobe Publishing Suite that I went to day today - I can open the file in InDesign, but I can't find the Folio Builder option in the window menu. Does anyone know how to find folio builder in this version?

  There is no folio for CC2015 generator. Only the new digital publishing Solution is supported in CC2015. Support of the folio based workflows you will need to use InDesign CC2014.

  There is no sign of builder folio for CC2015. CC2015 only supports the new digital publishing Solution. You must continue to use the old tools DPS using CC2014.

• InDesign cc2015 of the elements of interactive page on iPad.

  Can I use/view the simple interactive features which lie in InDesign CC2015, (like the sequence of keys and image) on my iPad?  … Do not use InDesign CC2014 or CS6 and 'Folio Overlay and Adobe Viewer". This isn't what I'm asking.  I ask can simply see the interactive features available in InDesign 2015 on my iPad?

  I don't want to create applications, I'm not a builder app or an apple developer.  I'm a graphic designer who would like to add a style a little more layouts on iPad. .. .to develop my understanding of the base software a bit and push forward my skills to design in 2D on a digital platform.

  Now, I was getting somewhere close to being happy, using "Overlays of Folio" load on "Adobe Viewer" in InDesign2014.  .. but who is no longer in 2015.  I also looked at the new "complicated" "ADP Solution."  Even if, and I can't believe it requires a free Adobe supplement on top of the CreativeCloud subscription and what looks like an extra cost to Apple to get the status of developer / mobile provision and certification.

  I am looking for a simple solution, "I can simple interactive features which lie in InDesign CC2015, (such as buttons and the sequence of images for example) on my iPad?"

• I just reinstalled 2014 CC InDesign to get access to the Folio Builder, I can't find panel inlays Folio after reinstalling InDesign CC2014

  I just reinstalled 2014 CC InDesign to get access to the Folio Builder - as he was not on the 2015 CC version. I'm not however of Folio overlays. How can I access the Panel inlays Folio after reinstalling InDesign CC2014?

• Folio Builder with InDesign 5.5 trial

  OK so apologies if it's stupid, but here's a question:

  We try to create a demo of a DPS document version to show our editor to approve the purchase DPS. Currently, we have InDesign installed 5.5 and work on a file with interactive elements (buttons, hyperlinks, etc.), built in. I would like to be able to export the file .folio to the content viewer, so it can be displayed on the iPad during our presentation, but when I click on the generator window of Folio it says that I still need to download the latest version. But when I download and install it, I still get the same message on Folio generator window. So the question is, can I upload a .folio file that can be read with the viewer content on the iPad using the trial version, or do I have the full version of 5.5? And if not, then no idea why I would still receive this message?

  Have you installed the Folio tools SO the Folio Builder Panel producer? It's two separate installation programs. Producer Folio Setup installs overlay creator Panel, a plug-in and Desktop Viewer, but it does not install or update the Folio Builder Panel.

• InDesign CC2015 has just stopped launch.  Reinstalled etc.  Any ideas?

  InDesign CC2015 will not launch.  Reinstalled and so on.  No luck.  It's on my 3 surface and my destop.  It still works on my cintiq Companion.  Any ideas?

  I inherited a file which is defined by default black in RGB. In the preparation of the document, its intention is set up to print. How can I change the mode from RGB to CMYK color? I already tried to convert profiles and assigning profiles. I use InDesign CC2015.

  Create a new print document with the same basic grid settings and the same size of document with page 2.

  Drag all the pages from one to the other document.

  Remove the first 2 pages.

  Previous content creation for Digital Publishing Suite (DPS) was made using Folio Builder of InDesign CC. Now the latest version of InDesign CC (2015) removed the Folio Builder feature.

  You can not. To use DPS with the Folio Builder Panel, you must run 2014 CC InDesign, InDesign CC or InDesign CS6.
