No equilizer inside Windows Media Player 12?

I think in media player 10 and 11 may, it came with an equilizer where I could adjust the levels of all the different music Hz (bass, treble, Mid, etc. and presets like rock, spoken, classic, dance, etc..).  He did my awesome music.  I can't find it in windows media player 12.  He's gone?  Maybe someone could explain it to me better.

While playing music, in the "now playing view" (push the 3 places and arrow, at the bottom right of the window 'library'), right click the mouse in the middle of the window, in the menu will be the submenu improvements, that contains the equalizer option.

How can I find out the version of MP I have?  The evidence is help / about, but I mean there is not these tabs at the top screen all music and music library, I then below this organization, disseminate and create Playlist (the last three with arrows pointing down), then the body of the player under this.  How can I get the menu 'help' (assuming that "about MP' is inside)?  What I'm really trying to do, is to get Windows to allow other devices access the files, perhaps in a case (my smart TV), it would be easier to use the MP, as opposed to the way I speak.  If I knew the exact version I have, maybe I could find the appropriate instructions to allow other devices access, through Media Player.  I keep activated auto updates, so it should be the latest version.

You can press the 'Alt' key once on your keyboard to display the menu inside Windows Media Player bar (this also works in Internet Explorer and your Windows File Explorer too).

Hello, I have a Toshiba Satellite A110 Notebook since 2006.
2 days ago a friend formatted my laptop. In order to make the systemstart a bit faster, he stopped a few applications of Toshiba in the configuration of the system. My laptop now very well VannerieUn.

But here's the problem: before the format I could use these multimedia applications useful for my Windows Media Player - mainly because of laziness to switch between programs during the work. :-)...
But now, they no longer work. :-(

Is it possible, that we stopped a request, which is important to make these applications to run?
    Or is an additional driver?
Or they work only in cobination with Windows Media Player 10. (now, I installed WMP 11)

I hope for your useful replies.

But think, that I'm not this great computer genius! ;-)... :-(

Try to enable all disabled applications. Go to START > run and write MSCONFIG inside.
When the System Configuration window is open go to the Startup tab and allow all applications with blank Startup Item.

Restart your computer and check if everything works well again.

  • Burn a CD with Windows Media Player

I tried to burn a cd with windows media player.  I think that it is version 11.   I put the songs I want to burn on the right side where it says to put them.  I use a cd cd - r Phillips.  He'll burn 3 or 4 songs, and then eject the disc.  I tried several times and it does every time.  Any advice on how to burn the entire list of songs.  There are 15 I wanted to put it on disk.  And it's an 80-minute drive, so there is a lot of time on them.  I lost a few disk already so any advice would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Rita

you have to 'turn off' the ' auto eject and auto burn / rip "feature for your cd device.

in this way the cd will stay "unburn" and can accept more files.  later, when you have copied all the files on the cd, then you can manually run a ' burn / rip.

try to go to the menu bar of media player file.  then, under Tools > options there should be a tab to customize the "rip" where you can change the ejection and extraction methods.

regarding as to why you seem to only be able to copy multiple files at the same time, it is probably due to low resources on your system.  Maybe you are low on memory or disk space when you use the media player.

so, you could try to just use the Explorer to transfer files on the cd.

You can open the Explorer and then find the folder that contains your music / song files.   then as with any file, you can drag and drop them on the cd or use other methods that you want to copy files from one place to the other.

also, most computer come with specialized software that is designed for your device to computer and cd model.  This software will be has features to copy files to the cd, and will also have the necessary controls to fine-tune the device cd and windows to play and the extraction of files.

Finally, it has been my experience that about five years of cd home-made, even if you buy the best cd for recording as those made with layers of gold and those with false promises that they last forever...

Unlike the cd music that we buy at the store, the method that we have with the computer is not industrial strength and something happens to the layers inside the House made conference that degrade over time.  I have studied this issue carefully and I just to let you know about the phenomena.  (I almost lost some one of a kind songs where the group no longer exists or their albums.  I actually have the only copies of these songs in particular in the world)

in any case, certainly keep copies of your music on the hard disk. You can also store copies of your music on the site of skydrive from microsoft for free.

Is it possible to create a playlist without Windows Media Player? I VideoLan if that's any help.

Here's the question: I did the test.m3u file, which is placed inside the folder "Music" with the following content.

    #EXTM3U
    1\test.mp3

If test.m3u exists in 'Music' and 'test.mp3' also available in 'music '. However, when I access the "Playlists" menu inside the Sansa player and then click on the 'TEST' playlist, it reads as "EMPTY". Why is this? Is it just that he can't find the MP3 file or have I done something wrong with where I placed everything?

    Any help is appreciated.

I have successes by creating playlists m3u on my Sport Clip with music files organized in several subfolders using VLC Media Player.

First of all, I use Win Explorer of files to create subfolders on my Sport Clip (internal or external memory) to the title of the music. Then I copy my mp3 files selected from my HD in different subfolders of music on my Sport Clip

When I tried to play on windows media player I get error msg-file type is not supported or the codec is not compatible with the player. They are .zip files. inside are the mp3 files that I need to listen to. can someone help me.

    Hello

You need to open ZIP files, which are compressed to make it smaller, then use the content
in the application appropriate - so if the audio or video content can use WMP.

Compress and uncompress files (zip files)
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/compress-and-uncompress-files-ZIP-files

Although Windows has integrated ZIP, you might be more comfortable using a program
with more features (and works with different types of compressed files).

    7ZIP - free

I would like to get Media Player to read. POWER DVD DX will play discs when the discs are in the draw, but I can't get my computer to use POWER DVD DX for them to play from the hard drive. IM no computer. Thank you very much. John

If you want to just play individual. VOB files... try renaming
glue them in. MPG and you can play them with Windows Media
Drive. If you want to read the DVD as he plays in a DVD player...
    See the following...

First, you copy the DVD VIDEO_TS folder
in a folder on your hard drive.

If Windows Media Player will play regular DVD... you could
Open it and go... File / open... Navigate to the VIDEO_TS
folder and when you open it, select all the files inside the...
(Ctrl + A should select all files) with all selected files...
Click on the button 'Open' and the DVD is expected to launch in Windows
    Media Player.

    Also... as an alternative...

If you download and install the free VLC Media Player...
You can click right a VIDEO_TS folder, then in the menu...
choose... 'Play with VLC Media Player '.

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

  • Windows Media Player 11 album art is missing

Hi, this is a mystery, but suddenly and without reason obvious, almost half of my albums do not show all arts album no matter what view, I use. However, when I browse through the files in Windows Explorer, I see that images (Folder.jpg, AlbumArtSmall.jpg and so on) are still there. And even if I stick a new image in the album inside WMP no album art appears.

    Thanks for any help!

I suggest that you try to reset the media library. Note firstly reset the library will make you lose all play counts and ratings too. Then, follow these steps:

    -Restart the PC.
-Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service . If its status is started , double-click the service, and then click stop .
-Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the search field and press ENTER. This folder opens in Windows Explorer.
-In this folder, rename the folder Media Player as Old Media Player . If you do not see the folder, then it is probably hidden. Set Explorer to view the hidden files and folders and show protected system files.
-Launch WMP, your library will have been reset and will be rebuilt. Check if the problem persists. Tim Baets

    Hi Palmdoc,

1 when was the last time it was working fine?

    2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

You cannot uninstall and reinstall Windows media player in Windows vista, because it is integrated inside the operating system.

This problem occurs because the Windows Media Player library database is corrupted.

See the below Microsoft article and try the steps mentioned, check if it works.

  • Album art size - Windows Media Player 12

Repost this, in the hope that someone (obviously not MS, who clearly couldn't care) has an idea how to solve this
I've seen dozens of discussions around the intarnetz on the issue of small album art in Windows Media Player 12, but does not find a definitive 'yes' or 'No' to the question of whether you can get something larger than the resized image pathetic 240 x 240 display when you play a track. Is this possible? If I play titles in Foobar or MediaMonkey (the two programs I hate, BTW) I can get album art to display 'properly' (i.e. the actual size of the image) but cannot find how do in WMP12
PS: Mods - do NOT mark this question as "answered" once some muppet of first line reads and publishes a 'response' nothing on it. Also, do not rename the question "how to get album art to display more than 240 x 240 - I don't want" more than 240 x 240' - I want it displays THE ACTUAL SIZE OF the WORK - just like WMP always used to do. ' " Thank you very much.

I found a solution for the problem of art version 32-bit windows 7 wmp12 album also (since prior to the given by me is true only for Windows 7 64 - bi wmp12).

    Here it is:

Make a backup before doing the prescribed steps as mess with registry can lead to a DEAD computer.

(For backup just click on COMPUTER in regedit.exe, and then file-> export-> 'file name' (may take a few minutes))

    1) go to the path in the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences

    (2) then create a key with the name 'PlayerModeAlbumArtSelected' and set its value data to ' ' as '0' (without qoutes) (for the creation of new key, right click anywhere inside the window and select "new-> DWORD (32-bit) Value")

    (3) then find the key with the name 'ShowAlbumArt' and its 'value data' the value "1" (without qoutes)

The Windows Media Player 12 now shows the original AlbumArt who put you in the song.

    Enjoy!
