Download Windows Media Player 11 validation problem?

I am trying to download Windows Media Player 11 but when I try to go through the validation process it simply doesn't.

When I try to hit 'continue' the page just refreshes and nothing else happens. Im not getting no message saying that the software is not genuine, literally refreshes the page and nothing else happens. Windows XP System I use is genuine. I can't do anything now or get the download!

What's not? How to download Windows Media Player 11, if I can't go through the validation process?

If you use Firefox as a browser, it barfs on the ActiveX required for validation: use either IE or Chrome.

If this does not work,

    Hello

    1. don't you also get an error with the message code?
2 have you installed third-party readers part?
    3. What is the format of the files you are trying to play?

Follow these steps and check if they help.

    Step 1:

I would have you readers of third party temporarily Uninstall and check if persists it to the question.

    Step 2:

Most likely you need codecs to play these files with Windows Media Player. I suggest looking up codec in the Internet that supports the file format, download and install them.

  • Unable to download windows media player mobile so I can borrow video from my public library

I'm trying to understand how to download windows media player mobile for my palm centro, so I can borrow the video from my pubilc library.  I have the regular windows medial player on my windows xp home desktop, but when I tried to download the mobile player on the site, I was invited to install microsoft activesync - I did it but microsoft activesync does not recognize my palm centro.  Any advice?

Hello BETTIE, welcome to the Palm support community.

What you're trying to do cannot be done!  Windows Media Player Mobile isn't a PalmOS program - it is a program for Windows Mobile.

ActiveSync is also a Windows program, designed for your computer and will not work with a PalmOS device.

What format is the video that you are trying to view?  What is a DVD?  It is in the form of .wmv?

There are several programs for sale which can read files in format .wmv - CorePlayer, and Kinoma EX player are two that come to mind.

DVD converters are also for sale.  See this link in the section Audio, video and Photo of the forum:

  • Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file when Pinnacle Studio HD 14 is running

Windows Media Player encountered a problem while reading file he when Pinnacle Studio HD 14 is running

    Hello

I have Windows 7 Home Premium. I installed Pinnacle Studio 14 ultimate test. When the Pinnacle program works-

    a. when I run a WMV file there is no audio data.

    b. when I rang a MPEG 2 file (720 p, 25 frames per second) OR a file m2t, Windows Media Player is not able to read the file and gives the error: "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem when reading what he gives.

    c. when I close the program Pinnacle all right and WMP reads all of the above files correctly.

I also recently installed and uninstalled Corel VideoStudio X 3 of the trial. First Adobe Elements 8 trial is also installed on the PC.

I would be grateful yuour help solve the problem.

    Thank you

    Paresh

    Hello Paresh,

The Pinnacle program is third party software that is causing the problem to occur. Pinnacle may be in conflict with your music files playing in Windows Media Player, that's why, I suggest you to contact pinnacle and check with them.

Windows Media Player 12 is probably to use the codecs used by pinnacle, which may be the culprit.

  • I can't register names and create playlist appear windows media player acountered a problem when creating or saving the playlist

appear windows media player acountered a problem when creating or saving the playlist

To the WMP library, please click on organize and select manage libraries - music . What places are? If there is no available location, remove them and also make sure that a default save location is set. Do the same for the other libraries (videos, pictures, and Recorded TV).

If this does not help, close WMP, open Windows Explorer, right-click the music library, select Properties and click on restore by default . After that, make sure that a backup location is defined (as indicated by a check mark).

  • to windows media player 11 validation tool is not valid

I've mentioned before - why hasn't it been resolved? The validation tool on the download page for Windows Media Player 11 is not valid - at least this is the error message when I try to run it. http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/download/exe-validation.aspx?ID=8163

Now you HAVE access to all download using Internet Explorer 32 bit - MS broke the ActiveX and methods of alternative validation for all other browsers.

They seem to not hurry to solve this problem, either :(
