• Are there already experiments with FM 2015, scaling of the image to its original size in the HTML output

  FM 12 provides the following procedure (as read in the manual) to see the images in original size in the HTML output. I did and was happy. But now in 2015 of the FM, the operation is no more.

FM 12 it worked fine. The result was, that the style to the statement tag < img > is deleted in the HTML code output, so that the images keep their original size. But now in 2015 FM it seems there is a bug. The same procedure has the effect that the style statement is in the HTML (is not deleted) and width and height are on 0x0pt. The result is that all the images are invisible. If I disabled 'Preferred size' images in the HTML output are always scaled down in a 'random' size, nobody knows where it comes and how I can trouble or spend that in 2015 scaling of FM.

  There was a bug in the publication process of FrameMaker for which we had planned a work around to set the width and height 0pt. Now we have fixed the issue when you set 0pt as the width images will no longer appear.

  Now in your output images will seem to have the same size, such that they appear in the documents of source if preferred size is not defined. If this isn't the case, you can share your example of source document so that we can have a look.

  The image below shows the result after I imported a Word file into a trial version of RoboHelp 2015 and then sent to a sensitive HTML file.

• The first 250 characters of the HTML output

  Is anyone know how the first 250 characters of html output file.
  I use a cfinclude to the output file, but sometimes the HTML is really long and there are other things on the page. I would like to limit the HTML for a number of characters and to give the user an option to read the rest.
  An example but this is not a job would be < cfinclude template = "#left(file.htm, 250) #" >. I know that this does not work, but he would if the information was in a database.

  I am having trouble pushing results table in an object and then adding the members of the object to an array.  I have had success using the slot method in the past, but I've only tried (previously) with a cmdlet.  In the example below, I'm piping several cmdlets.  Basically, $vms outputs very well, but I can't get any instantiated table to fill later.  The $mainArray will always send as null in the email.  Any ideas?  I really don't want to get vievent in the foreach loop, as it will really slow down the query.

  I think this tag is always used to specify a quantity. So I'd like to update the attribute type of an input rendered as number field that would make it easier to use on the phone.

  Type would its features. On the old rendering engine, you cannot change the output HTML itself.

  I have a scenario where I run a query of the View object in ADF to retrieve the results of a particular table in the database. I have then browse the results in my Java managed bean and manually build an XML file with all the appropriate tags. I then passes the XML via a transformer class in the Java bean based on a XSLT transformation, I created to produce an HTML page. However I have a problem when it comes to handling carriage returns. One of the database table columns may contain carriage returns in its value but in the final HTML page to transport returns has no effect and the text does is display on one line.

  In the database, the values are stored with the carriage return and in SQL Developer, Toad etc, this can be seen for example Text1 Text2 Rem3 Rem4 appear on separate lines. In the XML, the carriage return seems to always be there when I open the file my element that contains carriage returns shows each part on a new line for example < textElement > Text1

  Text4 < / textElement > (The Text2, Text3 and Text4 all begin on a new line at the beginning and there is no prior white space as shown in this post)

  The XML in JDeveloper also shows the carriage return arrow symbols where there is a.

  The HTML page shows them just Text1 Text2 Rem3 Rem4 all on a single line. Inspection of the source of the HTML shows that the return shipping is actually because it displays also according to XML with values on separate lines.

  Output the value of the object in Java in the log View shows the value coming out like this - Text2Text3Text4 Text1, which is strange, but I know that transport returns are here so I'm not too fussed on the subject.

  I tried to escape characters in Java by str.replaceAll ('[\\r\\n]', ' '); (but replacing the "" with & #xD; & #xA; or & x0A ;) so in the XML file that it replaces the returns cart and exhaust in line with these characters breaks.) However, when the XSLT analyzes XML it these captures and instead actually outputs these real characters as they are for example Text1 & x0A; Text2 & x0A; Text3 & x0A; Text4

  Therefore, I can confirm that the carriage return carries throughout the xsl but I can't help thinking that maybe I need to do something in the XSL to deal with it somehow, for example do the equivalent of 'replace' it in Java but I don't know what I'm looking for in the XML file and also what is actually replace by... Just replace it with a < here > to HTML?

  We have also to analyze the XML using the PDF and Excel XSL transformer class and see the same results.

• RH9 - legend of the window not correct in the generated html output

  I installed RH9 and opened an existing project, from RHX5 in the new RH9.

  When generating HTML Help, the caption of the window of output displays ""HTML Help ' instead of the name I gave to the default window (in my case: "Rimses 5.6 Help"). "

  In RHX, this was linked to the default language in the Robohelp (Dutch in my case) project from the regional settings of the computer. We had a work around by adding in the HHP file / Section "Options" text "Language = 0 x 409 English (United States).

  Now, in RH9, of workaround no longer works.

  I've tried several things:

  -remove it in the HHP file workaround

  -change the locale of my PC

  -check the defaults of the project, the html settings, window etc.

  Someone at - it an idea how to solve this problem in RH9?

  The language can be set from the dialog box options SSL "HTML Help" by choosing the language defined as 'R' in the drop-down list. However, this option must be set whenever the output is generated.

  In the HTML Options to file and output file name I was wondering if I can change the name of the .chm automatically listed when I click on properties?

  For example, when I click on properties for ABC_v456, which is a SSL in the project ABC123, I see "C:\Projects\ABC_v123\!" SSL!\Help_v456\ABC123.chm' in the output folder and file name field.  I would rename ABC123.chm in ABC456.chm for the love of light. When I compile it will then create a file .chm by ABC456.chm name rather than the name of the ABC123.chm file? I would have then two SSL in the HTML project called Help_v123 and Help_v456each and their respective .chm would be within each folder.  I speak of the sense or is this clarification requiring gibberish on my part? I use Robohelp HTML v7.

  You should be able to freely appoint the CHM everything that makes sense for you in the field.

  I remember that too, you are perhaps involved in the development of CSH. If the name of the file could play an important role in that. But even after you generate the help, you should be able to rename it if you wish.

• Conditional tags shake spacing in HTML output

  Hi, we use conditional tags to mark the text to be hidden or shown when generated.

  The marked text is displayed in the html help as if there is no space between the words 'Customer' and 'Definition ':

  

  In the file source (below), I see that there is a space that is not marked, but when you look at the output of this page, all of a sudden there is no space. Please see attached for images that show what we deal with.

  

  Any ideas as to what is happening here? I was wondering if it had something to do with the words in bold print , since the other tags of the same or not - similar words bolded correctly showed.

  Try to replace the space that is between the span tags with a space not breakdown as shown in the http://www.w3schools.com/HTML/html_entities.asp

• Microsoft HTML output does not display content...

  Good morning people!

  In addition to my previous question with import (now resolved), I have problems with my output selected on my Windows XP machine.

  I am trying to compile out of Microsoft HTML Help. Everything seems to go well when compiling, no error is reported, and when I go out, the TOC is there and the way I like it. However, the content (book or a section), are not displayed in the content pane. I get a nice "cannot display the page" error for the content I want to watch. I tried the following:

  I checked my LAN settings are set automatically detect

  I enabled the SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0

  I set my security to medium

  I assured my cipher strength is 128-bit

  I also test compiled to WebHelp and displays all the content. I'm sure it's a simple solution, but it is excaping that me for the moment, therefore all tips and advice would be greatly appreciated!

  Try to move the CHM on a local drive, assuming that it is on a network drive (and this can include your desktop or the My Documents folder). CHMS are affected by a MS Security patch that produce this behavior.

• Program PL/SQL in HTML output

  The requirement is to create a concurrent program for a PL/SQL package. When we run the simultaneous program and click the output button on the view, the contents of a database table should appear as a HTML table. • Get HTML output

  Suppose I have a table named Item, and here is the data in this table:

  The data itself can have HTML tags, as in the foregoing, color is "BOLD" scissors is italic. Please note that I used deliberately parenthesis in this post instead of the signs lower to and superior to , just to keep this forum to apply tags. But in the table, the appropriate tags and signs are used.

• Cannot use a CSS file to display from the rafters in the sensitive HTML output

  We use a CSS file to add styles to characters in some of our content. It works by using the WebHelp output, but when we exit to HTML5 reactive, rafters are not displayed. Here is the code in the CSS file:

  This part of the CSS file should just define content relevant to small capitals and wrapping brackets around it. When you look at this style in the Styles dialog box, it does not display the rafters in the preview window, then perhaps there is a clue as to what is at the origin of the problem. We use RoboHelp version 11, but get the same problem with the 2015 version. Any advice would be appreciated.

  I'm not a CSS guru, but I know that the output files are different from the source. My gut tells me that the build process is originally munging of the CSS in the output. I tested by copying your code and pasting in one of my CSS and applying the style. As you say, WebHelp was beautiful and the media were there but more responsive, they were absent. But when I copied the CSS from the source to the output, the reactivity is actually media.

  When I compared the differences, what seems to happen is that in the CSS source there are quotes that surround the characters of your choice and in the output, the quotes are ejected. So workaround seems to be either simply change the CSS output after generating or just copy the CSS source produce by and replace with her output.

• HR HTML: Output of specific control subjects

  I just finished a major update and about 70 topics (about 900) which should go to SMEs for review. The 70s have mostly names of GUI fields and descriptions arrays and the SMEs will have to provide any missing/outdated description. So I want to generate output, preferably Word, the SMB can review and update as necessary. But even after I loaded all the works that I do not send, the generated Word file is lack of large pieces of material.

  I also tried copy and paste tables Excel and Word, without success.

  Any ideas are appreciated.

  The output window Word has several screens that you can browse. (The. CHM output only has a single window).  Instead of choosing to record and generate, choose Next.  On the second screen, select the double arrow to the left to remove everything and then either the double arrows to add all items in return OR just include the sections you want reviewed.  If you have conditioned on specific topics, BUT you add topics, they will show in the Word document. Text con in a theme appears.
