No icons shown in the sequence editor (Teststand 2014 Windows SP1 + 10)

Hello

I have the problem in the followig:

After installation of Teststand 2014 SP1 on a computer Windows 10 empty, no icons are shown for the steps in the sequence editor. In addition, the breakpoints do not appear by clicking on the left side of the stage. Icons, which uses Teststand are in C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\TestStand directory 2014\Components\Icons, nothing is missing.

Everyone knows the same problem?

See you soon,.

Hey guys, so I finally found the solution to my problem: change the Format of the region of English (Europe) to English (United States). Thanks to Scott for an idea!

I'm really curious to know what kind of bugs are hiding there, where Windows 10 meeting OR software

    Hello

    I seem to have something broken in my version of TestStand 4.2. When I run the sequence Editor starts in the logged out State.  When I click on Login... nothing happens.

    I think this may have something to do with process templates - I had installed a updated the SequenceModel.seq which has been altered by a co-developer and re-installed the original on it back because the updated process template wanted to access the components that I don't have on my computer (which is a sql database).  Anyway, since I did it, I can't have the logon dialog box to display.

    TIA

    Ron

    It is the reminder of the frontend, not the process model, which is responsible for implementing the connection/disconnection process.

    There should be two versions of the FrontEndCallbacks.seq file on your computer as follows:

    (1) in \TestStand 2010\Components\Callbacks\FrontEnd, this version here must have a sequence called LoginLogout

    (2) in \Components\Callbacks\FrontEnd, this version must be an empty sequence file.

    In addition, make sure that you do not have the station defined option to automatically open a session to the user of Windows System.

    Hope this helps,

  • How to get taken time stated in the IO in the sequence editor?

    Hi all

    Is it possible to get the indicated default time NI Semiconductor Test Operator Interface OR in the sequence editor?

    Are there any expression in sequence editor that can get this time taken in the operator Interface?

    How can I include this time taken in the STDF generated by the transformation in the result sequence editor?

    Thank you

    Socket's operating time is stored in the TestResultsPropertyObject. To access this object is via the MainSequenceResult parameter in the Plugin model - USE fact entrypoint. The TS. TotalTime property records the total amount of time that required to run your test code MainSequence recall. It comes to the value included in the default reports.

    The OI shows the average decision-making time of execution of the whole lot, gets it from the Manager of semiconductor modules.

    I hope this helps.

  • Change the folder of default reports from outside the sequence editor

    Hello

    I want to set the path to the folder of the regular reports of TS (xml) outside the sequence editor, i.e. in a txt file. I would like to load this value in the sequence or the performance of model sequential (to read this file). Play with what I achieved only copy reports to different my folder both outside. No one knows how to correctly do this operation?

    See you soon,.

    K

    I have accomplished this setting the path of the report dynamically, using the ReportOptions reminder in my process model.

    I had set the following report options:

    Parameters.ReportOptions.DirectoryType = "SpecificDirectory".

    Parameters.ReportOptions.Directory = 'C:\\Program Files\\Functional Test\\Reports\\' + Parameters.UUT_PN

    Parameters.ReportOptions.BaseName = 'report '.

    Parameters.ReportOptions.UseFormatForExtension = TRUE

    Parameters.ReportOptions.Extension = «»

    Parameters.ReportOptions.ReportFilePath = «»

    Parameters.ReportOptions.NewFileNameForEachUUT = TRUE

    Parameters.ReportOptions.AddTimeAndDateToFileName = TRUE

    Parameters.ReportOptions.GeneratePath = TRUE

    arameters. ReportOptions.Format = "html".

    The second entry above, I set the directory based on the number of game USE which is analyzed by the operator.  So in your case, you will need to set the "Parameters.ReportOptions.Directory" item based on a path read you a text file.   According to the structure of your text, file, get the path of the report (from file) could be done in a few differnet ways...

  • Sequence number of version. How to change out the sequence editor?

    I would like to change the version number of sequence from outside the sequence. Is there way to this? Can I call TS engine of LV, and then using the APIs to make the change?

    I have to do this even without make no significant changes in the system to reflect the change of the configuration of the files to which speaks my sequence.

    Thank you.

    I have attached a file of sequence that does what you want.

    Is there a missing step to read the file.  You must call PropertyObjectFile.ReadFile after PropertyObjectFile.Path to load the existing.

    I ran your example and noticed that there is no wire error.  I also noticed that you were not from the Application or stopping handler.  It is possible, it's maybe part of the problem.  I get an error when you run your VI stating 'Access denied' when writing to the file. you get a similar error, but it does not appear.  I changed the path of the file sequence to be the absolute path, and now it works correctly.  I think you can get an error but because no thread error have been hung, it appeared as if there was no problem.  The path must be an absolute path for the PropertyObjectFile.Path property.

  • How to make the icon that indicates the caps caps disappear from windows 7?

    Hello world
    I am new to windows 7 but I am very happy with it, is great. However... There is something that I find very annoying and would like to settle as soon as possible a solution would be very welcome.
    I'm a trigger easy person when it comes to using earplugs I love and does not hesitate to she and I certainly don't want to turn them off, but I want really is to make the icon that pops up saying on the Caps hats disappear; It stops typing you for a second or two, but it is not that I don't want this crap appearing all the time, I find it very boring and does not prevent my goal when studying... HOW CAN I RESOLVE THIS ISSUE?

    HEY... Thank you.
    Someone told me Quickset but could not find it in my pc, guess there is a chance, I don't know where to look, but start certainly did not show it. or maybe it is not yet in the system.
    I contacted Samsung support by electronic mail and gave them as much detail of the pc as possible, except the number of pc, because I didn't have the box again but all similarly subsequently found in tiny and the same silver color on bottom of laptop PC. I was not thinking straight at the time to think and look at the bottom of the pc.
    What they did was to send me a link to a forum and say that it wasn't anything to do with them or others... not very helpful at all, but will contact them again with all the details.
    I'll deal with them and see if they like this for me.
    Thanks :)

  • Shift at the choice of the steps sequence editor

    Hello all-

    I run into a few problems these last time with the sequence editor (TS 4.1 / LV 8.6) where by selecting some of the steps will be literally up to 30 seconds to load (instead of dry normal 1 or 2)... it seems to affect niswitch associated steps most, but virtually all the measures seem to have a good time. It seems that this situation is aggravated if I shift-select many steps at a time - for example if I take 4 steps, he literally will pick up for 2 straight minutes before I can change the options for stage. Seqedit.exe takes 100% of the CPU during this time as well.

    I will add that I have in fact two identical configurations, and this affects only one of them...

    I think it's safe to assume that the sequence in fact probably one editor kind of research or something, but I expect that once the VI is loaded into memory (say niswitch.llb/connect channels), it would be fine for the rest of the time I spend editing... any advice on what exactly it is?

    other than this taking a lot of time, nothing is technically "broken" and my sequences work very well, but my development time is crazy now because I spend 80% of my time sitting to wait for the spring sequence editor to life!

    Thank you!

    -Kris

    If your screws have I/O controls connected to the connector component, you could be hitting the same problem described in this thread http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=330&thread.id=23845.  You may need to patch LabVIEW 8.6.

  • Settings pane in the stage custom sequence editor

    I'm trying to implement a custom user interface that is similar to the examples given by NEITHER. What I miss, however, is the part of the parameters of the step. I can change the parameters of the step of the example with the Edit menu > settings step dialog box, but I would have a section on the window, similar to what you see in the full version. I thought it would be as easy as inserting a component to insert, but it is not... Did anyone have an example of the implementation of this component?

    Hi paicolman,

    At this time the property pane of the step in the sequence editor is built in editor sequence and, therefore, only available in the sequence editor not in the custom operator interface.

    The reason why one in the sequence editor looks different is because it is a more compact design, so it could easily fit into the sequence as a component editor and not another pop-up window. The OI is a pop-up window, so it shouldn't be so small and compact.

    If you want to change the step properties dialog box, you will need to completely build your own dialog box and change the reminder that connects the kind of command. It would be quite difficult to implement, so using the default dialog box is recommended.

  • Is there a way to reset displays step status for iterations of the successive loop (NOR with active follow-up sequence editor)

    I'm running a sequence in the sequence editor (single-pass) with active follow-up.  I find that when I get a section in my sequence loop, the displayed State of stage starts in white, is preparing for the first passage through each step of the loop, and the steps are displayed to this status, unless / until modified in a loop later.  I would prefer that the status of step back empty at the beginning of each iteration of the loop and then get / displayed when the step is completed (yet) in order to better show the progress through the wrist strap.  Is there a way to do this?

    Thank you Ray!

    I've attached an example of using the method suggested by Ray reference.

  • can see us line numbers next to each step in the sequence file?

    Hello

    I have a file of sequence having 600 steps. I would like to know is there any option to the test to set number for each step in the sequence of line editor so that it is useful for the review.

    Example:

    1 Action1

    2 Action2

    ............

    600 Action600

    Kind regards

    Krishna

    Krishna,

    If you want just to know the index of a step, this information is displayed at the bottom of the sequence editor in the status bar.  It shows you how many steps there are in the sequence, how you have selected and the index of the selected steps.

    It is also possible to display the information in the view of the steps in a column, if you are ready to create a new column.  Follow the instructions in this KB to see how to create a new column:changing the properties of columns in the viewport of execution TestStand sequence editor.

    One of the types of columns is Index. Just set your column of this type and you'll see step index as shown below.

  • Fonts in Windows 10 sequence editor

    Hi all

    I hope that it is a question with a simple answer. I search nothing doesn't.

    I just upgraded to Windows 7 to 10 Windows on my development PC. I TestStand 2014 and TestStand 2010 SP1 to support existing applications, and both exhibit this behavior:

    Many fonts display correctly in the sequence editor, but the majority of them is annoyingly huge. (See attached screenshot)

    I tried the things:

    • Verification of the dialog box options of the sequence editor
    • Configuration of Windows properly. (No other applications don't have this problem, and our IT Department confirms it not miss anything obvious on the side of the BONE)
    • Edition SeqEdit.xml in \appdata\local\National Instruments\\SeqEdit.xml.  When I change the settings of police here they mysteriously get indented at the launch of the sequence editor of.

    Does anyone know where these parameters from and how to modify them for a correct display?

    (I feel really embarrassed if it's something simple)

    Thank you

    Jim

    Well, that's pretty funny.

    My cell phone rang, I would get up walk outside while you take the call. I have locked my PC and walked away.

    Five minutes later I came back and ostensibly, my PC crashed and has since restarted. (I found this out by watching the Windows event logs)

    Curiously, after the accident, my fonts appear normal in TestStand.

    I don't know what has changed – it could be one of the countless things, but it is "fixed" now. I wish I knew why.

    In the future, if anyone has questions of police, the solution is clearly to cause the OS to crash.

    Thanks for your help, Daniel.

  • How can I retrieve the execution of TestStand 4.0 Test results in a c sharp Application?

    I am writing a c sharp application to launch a test sequence in TestStand 4.0.1 and then collect the results of the tests to update our own screens / report (s).  I'll need some sort of recursive routine to collect the following information (if available) for each stage: name, result, Min value, Max Value, measured value, units.

    My attempts have been to an event to end execution allows to collect data:

    void EndExecution (sender As object, EndExecutionEvent ev)
    {
    Results PropertyObject = ev.exec.ResultObject.GetPropertyObject ("ResultList", 0);

    int numContainers = Results.GetNumElements ();

    for (int i = 0; i)< numcontainers;="">
    {
    PropertyObject resultData = results. GetPropertyObjectByOffset (i, 0);
    String testResult = resultData.GetValString ("Status", 0). ToString();

    PropertyObject testStep = resultData.GetPropertyObject ("TS", 0);
    Dim testName = testStep.GetValString ("StepName", 0). ToString();

    MessageBox.Show (i.ToString () + "". "") testName + "=" + testResult);
    }
    }

    But this only gives me MainSequence data.

    How to cross the ResultsList tree to access the results of all the test steps?

    tlaford,

    There are a couple of big problems with what you are doing:

    (1) it is best to call the code from a test report of the result of your sequence treatment reminder (just use an action step) or change the process template to call your code rather than to call for EndExecutionEventHandler of the user interface, because if you use Test DUT and then there is a separate resultlist by USE not by execution, and it is generally processed at the end of each use not at the end of execution. If you use the EndExecutionEventHandler then you should NOT use the process templates provided with TestStand because they don't work that way. Instead, you just run your sequences without a process template. Although I really recommend the path of process model, even if you write your own a custom, because it is more flexible, and then hardcode your treatment result in the user interface as you do. A few reasons why a process model is that more flexible or better are that it will work in any user interface, including the sequence editor (no changes to the user interface is needed), and it can do everything you can do in a sequence, for example to call a code module in any language supported , asynchronous sequences, call sous-séquences, etc.

    2 recursion) through each property at such a low level is bad because the names of the properties are not guaranteed to be unique for what you expect them to be. Anyone can write their own types step custom with some result properties that they would like. You must make sure that the full path to the properties is what you expect it, and you can even check that the type of step is one you expect. You should rather loop through the result of higher level items ONLY and are looking for the complete data lookupstrings that you expect from these elements. For example, instead of WalkTree you might have the following instead:

    This must be called from a step in a test recall report or in a custom process template
    rather than from EndExecutionEventHandler of the user interface, because if you use Test DUT then
    There is a separate resultlist by USE, not by execution, and it is usually processed
    at the end of each use not at the end of execution.
    Sub ProcessResultList (PropertyObject resultList)
    {
    numElements int = resultList.GetNumElements ();
    < numelements;="">
    {
    Element PropertyObject = resultList.GetPropertyObjectByOffset (i, 0);
    String stepTypeName = string. Empty;

    If (point. There are ("TS. ((StepType', 0))
    stepTypeName = GetValString ("TS. (StepType", 0);

    If (stepTypeName is "NumericLimitTest")
    {
    If (point. Exists ("Limits.High", 0))
    {
    Double highLimit = item. GetValNumber ("Limits.High", 0);
    Do something with the value
    }
    }

    NOTE: The two step type SequenceCall and NI_Wait can have subresults like that. A stage of waiting waiting on an asynchronous thread or the execution will have this.
    If (point. There are ("TS. ((SequenceCall.ResultList', 0))
    {
    Recurse for results call sequence.
    PropertyObject sequenceCallResultList = item. GetPropertyObject ("TS. (SequenceCall.ResultList', 0);
    ProcessResultList (sequenceCallResultList);
    }
    }
    }

    Hope this helps to clear things up,

    -Doug
