  1. have you installed the latest drivers for the hard disk, mentioned in the previous post?

  I suggest that you connect the hard drive to another computer to check if it is broken.

  Also check in Device Manager for the status of the hard drive.

• same 3 buttons & 3 different images, but each must have its own actionscript image?

  Here's my problem. I have 3 frames and 3 buttons. Each button will take you to their respected framework. However, I noticed that I can't have 1 keyframe of the actionsript read the same on these 3 images. Why? because if I jump from frame 1 to frame 2 or 3, then I can't go back. Instead, each image must have its own actionscript. The only thing that would change is the name of the method. I find it tedious. Is that what this is? It felt almost seem like it would be less tedious but even for 3 images, I have to change the name of each method as I build more pictures to navigate to. Check my example below:

  You must not have code in all three settings.  The first bit of code that show you should be sufficient under normal circumstances.  If you have the code on a layer that only has a single keyframe and the buttons on a layer that has a key frame, then the buttons will remain functional.  It is only when you create new instances (keyframes) buttons that you must assign new for them event listeners, but even then the same event handler functions can be shared for each of them as a layer actions extends the length needed for all the buttons.

  Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at the esc you key start Notepad to open the Start Menu.  Select the BIOS (usually f10) and under the Advanced or the Diagnostic tab, you will find the possibility to run tests on the hard drive and memory.  Post back with the details of any error message.

  Some experiments to try.

  (1) create a small project with just a few pictures and see if it will play.

  (2) use .bmp photos to create the project instead of .jpg photos.

  (3) remove all transitions and resave the project as .wmv and see it it helps.

  From your description, I suspect that you have selected Open Documents as tabs in the Interface preferences section.

  Your first image doesn't go away, but is in tabs at the top of the images.

  If you prefer to see the images separately, uncheck the box of Documents open as tabs, as shown below

  It is possible that you clicked the 'Block Images' item in the context menu by attempting to save an image.
  Check the image exceptions: Tools > Options > content: Load Images: Exceptions - see the web content, pop-ups, fonts and language settings

  A way to see what images are blocked is to click on the favicon (Site ID icon) on the left side of the address bar.
  Click on the "More information" button opens the Security tab of the "Page Info" window (also accessible via "tools > Page Info").
  Go to the tab Media of this "Page Info" window.
  Select the first image and scroll though the list with the arrow pointing downwards.
  If an image in the list is grayed out and there is a check mark in the box "block Images of..." and remove this mark to unlock the images from this area.
