1. have you installed the latest drivers for the hard disk, mentioned in the previous post?

I suggest that you connect the hard drive to another computer to check if it is broken.

Also check in Device Manager for the status of the hard drive.

    First, disconnect all the external devices connected to the computer, and then try to start and check what is happening. If the same happens, then you can try to start in safe mode and check if you are able to boot to the desktop. Only basic files and drivers needed to run Windows are started.     Yes you can install pretty much the same as any other computer. Installation update system will probably make less stressful work and get all or most of the drivers for you automatically. You must ensure that you have .NET Framework 3.5 installed to make it work properly.

    Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

    What you are not aware of, is that with Win10, even when you turn off your PC, it is still ongoing - because it uses a new form of hibernation called FastStartup.  It is a very different thing from Fast Boot.

    There are two ways to disable FastStartup Win8/10; (1) via the control panel and (2) through a command prompt high.

    Control Panel - open Control Panel-> Power Options.
    Select ' choose what buttons power. "
    Select "change settings that are currently unavailable".
    At the bottom of the window, under stop settings, uncheck the box about quick startup

    High - command prompt run the following command:
    REG ADD "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power" v HiberbootEnabled /T REG_dWORD 0 f d

    In both cases, restart Windows.

    After that, the PC should attract little or no power after you turn it off - but it will take more time to start.

    Yesterday, I updated the bios Hp SoftPaq Download Manager recommendation. Progress to succeed and the result of this action made my laptop boot really slowly. The first time, it took just 10 seconds to start windows 10 compared to more than two minutes after the update of the bios.

    I've already searched google for help, but it still does not originally.

    Assuming that this PC came with the edition of Win10, all I can guess at this point is the default setting for FastStartup is in conflict with the new version of the BIOS.  It is a new form of hibernation which is supposed to speed up your boot process, but in some cases, it actually slows down.

    I did recently, and HP technology was able to remotely access my PC on the Internet and to make the necessary repairs.

    If the computer is connected with a USB cable (which is what you describe), then IP addresses of the computer and the printer are simply not relevant to the printer connection.  The printer's IP address is used ONLY if the printer is connected to a network using an Ethernet cable (which is the picture above in my previous post).

    Now that we know what is wrong, we will try to understand why the printer does not print.

    Probably the easiest way to proceed is to uninstall the printer (assuming that it has never been installed, which seems dubious) and then reinstall it.

    I'm going to assume that you don't have the CD that came with the printer (if you do not have the CD, see pages 16 to 18 of the Quick Start Guide).

    The following instructions are "Article One" of Cori Bright (http://www.coribright.com/windows/Article_One.htm) which unfortunately seems to be offline at the moment:

    1. Unplug the printer from the PC
    2. Go to the control panel and click on Add/Remove programs.  Highlight any printer software that is listed here.  Select Remove.  (Note that simply delete the Brother here software)
    3. In Control Panel, click printers & faxes.  Right click on the printer in question and select delete
    4. Look at the toolbar.  Select the file, then server properties. Look in the tab drivers.  Highlight the printers drivers listed here and click on remove for each one.  [(Notez que vous n'avez pas à supprimer les pilotes pour les autres imprimantes).]

      4. Recently, I installed a couple of mounting aps, so I thought that this feeling a bit made of new video. So I downloaded ccleaner v 3.05.1409 CNET, done a reg scan and set ONLY the entries that had to do with Creative, rebooted, but I still get the error if I try to modify, repair, or uninstall the Creative suite. (I don't have ccleaner difficulty all other entries) So the clean reg did not no diff.

    Now I can't install or uninstall.

    I am running XP SP3 all updates. Other than the sound, my system works perfectly.

    To resolve the above error message, follow the procedures below.

    a. close all open windows and programs.

    b. Click Start and then click Run. The Run dialog box is displayed.

    (c) as shown in this illustration, type MSCONFIG and click OK.

    d. the System Configuration utility appears. Click BOOT. INI, check the "/ SAFEBOOT" option, and then click OK.

    e. When you are prompted to restart the computer. Click on restart.

    f. the computer restarts in safe mode. (This may take several minutes, and its display will appear different from normal).

    g. mode safe mode, click Start, Control Panel, then add/remove programs. Select the programs you wish to uninstall, for example, Sound Blaster Audigy 2. Must uninstall successfully without error "the installer cannot invoke any of the subscribers.

    h. once the uninstall is complete, close the control panel and open windows explore.

    i. in Windows Explorer, click on TOOLS, then Folder Options. In Folder Options, click the view tab and choose the option view the hidden files and folders, under Advanced Options. Also, uncheck Hide extensions of the file types that you want to know. Click on apply, then OK.

    j. in Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder C:\Program Creative , while C: is the drive where the software is installed and remove subfolders associated with the software you are trying to uninstall. If you have a single creative hardware, you can remove the creative brief.

    j. in Windows Explorer, look for C:\Program InstallShield Installation Information------folder. In this folder, you will see strange named directories that contain information about the installation of the application and the material / uninstall information.

    To find which directories contain information on Creative products. Open a directory at a time and watch the installation. INI file. This file should open in Notepad.

    In the file, locate the AppName =, for example, the AppName =Creative MediaSource. If the installation program. INI contains information on the creative product you are trying to remove, remove the directory as the Setup program. INI has been found. Continue to go through all the directories and remove the most creative in the InstallShield Installation informationfolder n.

    k. after the creation of directories are deleted. Restart the computer in Normal mode. To do this, repeat steps 1 to 5, but in step 4, uncheck "/ SAFEBOOT"

    I just bought a laptop T2 used IBM with Windows XP Professional installed. The computer worked perfectly until I downloaded the Verizon WiFi software. Before you download the software, the Verizon site instructed me to download Net Framework and SP3, and then the software from Verizon. After the download, the computer, for all purposes, ceased to operate. Specifically, the boot sequence until Windows loads works, then loads Windows slowly - 5 to 10 minutes for each step. My office opens thereafter, but the programs do not respond. I can open the control panel and eventually open Add/Remove Programs, but cannot remove programs. I tried to use the restore of the system without success.

    I tried to use the Safe Mode, but cannot use it to remove programs. I own a copy of Winows XP Home Edition, version update and since the computer has no files on what I need, I'd be happy to use Winodws XP Home Edition instead of the professional edition, but don't know if I can install Windows XP from the disk to upgrade.

    I suggest that you try a clean boot.  Follow the steps in this article to resolve problems with a clean boot.

    Advanced problem resolution by clean restart.

    Insofar as you use your XP Home disk, it will not work to upgrade the XP Pro that is already on the system
