No internet behind proxy in Sierra

In Safari when I enter google.com bar fills about 1/5 and will stay there again for hours. It's not just Safari, Xcode cannot connect to my developer profile as well. It says "There was an error connecting to server Apple ID"

I have a clean install of Sierra and am behind a proxy company. I also have an El Capitan, but it works very well. I tried to reproduce the exact network config, proxies etc. of the Sierra, but it doesn't seem to work.

I have this problem as well (also in a corporate environment).

AppStore also fails.

I must add, Chrome, Drop Zone, LassPass and other applications all work fine.

Added information:

The proxy settings are:

Discovery of Proxy Auto - off

Automatic configuration of the Proxy - disabled

Proxy Web - checked with valid IP and Port

Secure Web Proxy - checked with the IP and Port valid

No "bypass proxy settings."

I went temporarily by using a wpad.dat/proxy.pac file that points to the same server and it works well.

Check the squid proxy server logs, (I'm the admin network) there is no request sent by the client in the standard configuration.

  • Problems with Windows Live Messenger, Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer proxy servers...

I recently had problems with the above programs and their connection to the internet. I did not quite understand what was going on until I tried to connect to Windows Live Messenger a day and it wouldn't let me not connect due to a problem with the proxy server and important ports... And since then, I was not able to browse the web with Internet Explorer, download Windows Live, nor access the music store online for Windows Media player. Can someone help me with this problem?

    J2BJosh,

It is important that you try some of the solutions provided Karena so that we can continue to resolve the problem.
Here are some important steps to try I think solve the problem:

Add-ons add functionality (for example, extra toolbars, animated, stock and pop-up blockers mouse pointers) to your web browser. While Add-ons can enhance your online experience, they can sometimes interfere or conflict with other software on your computer. Try to start Internet Explorer without Add-ons to see if the problem goes away. Here's how:

    • Click the button start , click principally made programs, accessories, click System Tools and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

If disabling all add-ons solves the problem, you can manage add-ons to disable all add-ons and then put modules only as needed. This will allow you to figure out which add-on is causing the problem.

    Open Manage Add-ons

    1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking on the button start . In the search box, typeInternet Explorer, then, in the list of results, click on Internet Explorer.

    2. Click on tools and then click on Manage Add-ons.

If disabling modules does not resolve the problem, try resetting Internet Explorer to its default settings. This removes all changes that have been made to Internet Explorer since it was installed, but it does not delete your Favorites or flows.

    1. Close the Windows Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer.

    2. Open Internet Explorer by clicking on the button start . In the search box, typeInternet Explorer, then, in the list of results, click on Internet Explorer.

    3. Click Tools and then click Internet Options.

    4. Click on the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.

    5. In the reset Internet Explorer settings dialog, click Reset.

    6. When you are finished, click Close, and then click OK.

    7. Close Internet Explorer and reopen it before the changes take effect.

    Hope that helps!

  • Cannot install iOS 10.0.1 with Apple Configurator 1.7.2

    Hello

I have 60 iPads in 5 carts (12 per basket) that I need to install some applications on. They are already configured and supervised with Apple Configurator 1.7.2. I've never had problems in the past with AC1, I've always been able to install the updates and applications easily with very few questions, because of that I've never felt the need to update to AC2. However, this time during the update of ios and refreshment, I get the error 'complete with an error - cannot install iOS' 10.0.1 And now 12 of my iPads are stuck in recovery mode.

I tried before wipe them off and re supervise them, but I always get the cannot install iOS 10.0.1 error, followed by all the iPads stuck in restore mode. I tried to update only 1 or 2 at a time. I tried the update/supervise them with no apps queued for installation. I tried to restore the iPad via iTunes, which works, but when I try to put it back on AC1, I still get the same error mode and recovery.

I tried searching online for compatibility with the new iOS and AC 1 problems but found nothing.

I would like to know if there is more information I should provide that might help.

    Thank you for your time.

    Ben

    Hi Ben

Makes your iPad successfully update to IOS 10, we have approximately 400 ipads, I've updated a single ipad at 10 IOS using our MacBook pro AC1 OSX El Capitan to test, ill try another now and see if its success.

When you connect an ipad update the Configurator re-download the IOS 10 or use a cached copy?

How your Configurator is connected to the internet (behind Proxy, Wifi, Ethernet), perhaps the downloaded IPSW file is corrupted and need to be redownloaded removed\.

    Kind regards

  • ThinApp Internet Explorer 9 and proxy settings

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone can help, I've managed to thinapp IE9 with ThinApp 4.7, before making the final capture I change settings for IE9 to our proxy etc. When I spread IE9 on any office of vdi in connection settings, the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" option is checked for a reason, but our proxy server, the settings are still there, we plan to broadcast this on a number of people if it is not really an option for this check manually for everyone. No idea why this might happen? Once checked, she remembers the setting. We have IE9 locally on some portable computers and the same problem does not occur, so I guess this isn't some GPO settings.

    Kind regards

    Ross

    Ross,

The Internet Explorer proxy settings passes under the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Connections registry key

    1. this line is excluded from the package in snapshot.ini file (snapshot.ini is present in the same capture.exe installation location). Could you remove the snapshot.ini line and resume the application? When the line is removed from the snapshot.ini, changes to the registry under this key will be captured and stored in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.txt file.

    2. or you can try adding registry changes manually in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.txt file to select the check box and rebuild the ThinApp. Please Google for registry values to select the check box.

  • What Windows 7 Internet Options affect latest version of Firefox

I know that there are questions more old ones where Internet options can affect Firefox downloads. Mainly, I'm trying to see if the internet files, proxy, and ahead of the options in the Windows Internet Options will temporarily affect the latest stable version of Firefox.

    64-bit Windows 7 Professional SP1
    Internet Explore 11

Temporary Internet files: Firefox has its own separate cache folder.

Proxy: the Firefox proxy parameter defaults to "use the system proxy settings. Not sure if THE Options are the same as the system proxy settings, but I would not be surprised if they are.

Advanced options: there are too many of them to discuss, but in general, it is difficult to see how all the parameters related to the rendering of the page in IE would affect Firefox.

  • My Server Proxy of Google Chrome is not working

I recently did some research on my IP address and my proxy server after that I discovered that someone had used my IP address for illegal things.

I have Google Chrome and Microsoft 7. When my proxy server is enabled the HTTP ERROR 401 UNAUTHORIZED appears when I try to open Google Chrome. Then a pop-up appears which says ' required, authentication server http://www.google.com:80, server NETGEARWNR1000V.3 "
The only way I can access the internet is in any case if I go to settings > advanced settings > network > change Proxy settings > then disable my proxy server.
This causes me and my wife continued to stress because we use this computer for educational purposes, and we are a not far from our internet connection being removed completely if we are not how to solve this problem. What I understand, I just need to figure out how to get my computer to recognize my proxy server or IP address.
If anyone has any advice it would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Hello

The 401 unauthorized error is a HTTP status code which means the page you tried to access cannot be loaded until you first log in with a valid user ID and password. If you have just logged in and received the 401 unauthorized error, it means that the credentials you entered were not valid for some reason any.

Please make sure that the credentials you enter for your router are correct.

As it works after you turn off the proxy server, it might be that the proxy address that sing you requires credentials.

    1. How was your proxy settings are configured initially?

2 were the parameters provided by your Internet Service proxy provides?

    3. meet you the same problem in Internet Explorer too?

You can try to reset you TCP/IP and check. Check out the link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357/en-us

If the problem is only limited to Google Chrome, I suggest you to post your query in Google Chrome, the support forums at: https://support.google.com/chrome/?hl=en
