no known viruses for macOS Sierra?

Recently, I received a popup warning that seemed to know my location, the ISP and the operating system recommended use MacKeeper to remove a virus that it has scanned.  Address Web was apple.com

It's a scam. No Web site can actually check a Mac OS X system for malware.

  • Printer "filter failed" for macOS Sierra?

    Hi all

I have upgraded my iMac and MacBook Pro with the new macOS Sierra and did not have a lot of problems until recently. As my exams are approaching, I print on my printer, Canon E560 comments. However, recently, some pages may not be printed and printing stops. He said "stopped -"filter"failed", and I can't find a way to solve this problem. I did this experiment several times, and in early printing, it is said immediately that the filter is not on my computer, but continues to print up to a page where it stops. Some pictures on the already printed pages are distorted. Is this related to the Sierra macOS? This is true for my two computers. I replaced the cartridges of ink, but in vain. I've also sent cannon on it, but they take a lot of time to answer me.

I have another printer on the floor in my house, which is of my fathers. So, I tried printing with it, but words have white lines through it, for some pages. This shows that it may be a problem with the document or the software, macOS Sierra 10.12.

For two printers, it seems that the content of the pages is pushed down as well.

    Thank you very much

    Ethan

Have you looked for a new driver for your printer? Canon are responsible for updating the drivers for their products to ensure that they are compatible with the new operating system

Everytime I turn on my MacBook, I see that there is 1 reminder on my reminders open it and nothing. I followed the steps from Apple on the deactivation of reminders in iCloud and turning them back top and restart and restart before reminders, no other results.

Hi there, HMILLER75. Thank you for using communities of support from Apple!

It seems that if you get a reminder that there is not actually on your MacBook Pro, which has been upgraded to macOS Sierra. You have made a huge step in troubleshooting, but since it did not help I have a few extra steps for you.

With the reminders on your Mac app, close it using the Menu option (callbacks > reminders Quit) then hold down the SHIFT key left while the reopening of reminders to clear the cache.

Safe mode try if your Mac does not start -is not only recommended safe mode when your Mac is not put into market, it also erases the system caches and certainty that your Mac starts correctly.

These steps should clear reminders inhabiting not actually on your Mac. Have a great day!

  • Ignore the faces in the photos for macOS Sierra

I got a lot of photos with the crowds in the background. The photos app is grateful to all those faces (a few thousand). Is there a quick way to ignore them permanently?

There is no 'ignore' for people. You can either let sit them in the section "add people" from the album of the people or add them all at once, then select them all and hide. but hiding people also will exclude all the photos of that person to the memory. If offenders are in the background of a photo you want to use in the memories, you can not hide the person.

If you use brute force and delete the circle with the face detected from a photo, you end up with white, featureless faces thumbnails in the album of the people.  I did this however and clicking the X on the circle of faces to remove the detected face. Then I merged all of the tiles white album a great person 'delete' and hope a bug fix in a future version to get rid of white tiles. Repair of the photo library does not solve it.

Download the utility Ver.2.3.3 Lite (Mac) of the IJ analysis of

    https://www.USA.Canon.com/Internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/crafting-printers/PIXMA-m...

The Lite version use AirPrint to analyze, worked for me.

Seems to be a known issue with macOS Sierra. IF Scanner Utility 2.3.3 (full version) description contains the following:

(Optional) It is an application that allows you to easily analyze photos, documents, etc. Scanning of a single click lets you save your time. • MacBook Pro crashed after update to macOS Sierra

After I tried to update my MacBook Pro for macOS Sierra, this screen came:

In case you can't read it, it says "apple.com/support-1007F'.

After restart my MacBook Pro, he asked for my Wi - Fi connection information, so I typed in it and it showed a loading bar. Then came to this screen:

I didn't know which option to choose, what is called Apple Care to help make a choice. They said to choose 'Reinstall OS X' so I did. Then my screen says something like "click and drag to the browser that you want to download in" but nothing has popped up.

I don't know what is happening with my computer. Hard drive failure? This update was not the largest update so I don't know why all this is happening.

If you have any ideas or solutions, please respond! That would be incredible!

    Thank you guys!

It seems that your Mac can not find the system disk. It seems that the drive has failed and your Mac is now in recovery mode.

  • WARNING: Beware of Trusteer report installation on macOS Sierra

Just a word of warning to users who have the version for macOS Sierra - I'd be suspicious about installing and using Trusteer report of IBM software as it doesn't seem to work correctly with Safari 10. Although maybe it's not the case for all devices running Safari 10, it certainly caused problems on my Mac and someone else on this thread:

    Safari 10 high CPU usage

High CPU usage (and therefore high battery drain) is the main problem I've experienced with that. If you have already installed report, maybe try using Safari and check Activity Monitor CPU usage to see if this problem is widespread or limited to certain devices (mine included).

Report was constantly beset with problems on my Mac - in OS X El Capitan icon appears in Safari 9.1.3; in the public beta of macOS Sierra the installer kept crashing and causing my Mac restart unexpectedly. and now high CPU utilization when you use Safari 10.

Everyone encountered problems with the report? For now, I don't particularly want to reinstall the software, despite its security perks - headaches constant software involves dissuaded me to use it for the moment.

I agree whether Trusteer report on a Mac installing problems.

  • MacOS Sierra could not download

I tried more than a dozen times, download the installation program from the App Store for macOS Sierra.  It fails every time with a message that "sierra macos download failed. Use the shopping page to try again "."  The download speeds are very good, and in 20 minutes, it will exactly Download 4.23 4.77 GB.  Then it will stall at 4.23 GB and indicate 'calculate '.  Stalls at 4.23 GB every time.  I have a lot of space (+ 134 GB), uses the latest version of El Capitan on mid 2010 macbook pro, 8 GB of memory.  Ideas for this problem?

I added the Debug menu to the appstore and tried to reset the application as people wrote.  Nothing seems to work.

Along with your MacOS download, try to download any free app at the same time before dropping out.

  • I tried to download macOS Sierra for the last hours on my Mac, but it is still holding still to download. Should I download the El Capitan instead? All sites tell me that I should update my Safari.

I tried to download macOS Sierra on my macbook pro iOS 10 for a few hours and it still has several hours to go. Should I just download the Capitan instead? All sites tell me that I should update my Safari or I wouldn't even through this disorder.

You must complete the download of Sierra. It is a very large file and will take some time, especially on a slow Internet connection.

  • I want to 'Firefox Focus' for 10 Windows and macOS Sierra! can you do this?

I really want to use a version of 'Firefox Focus' for 10 Windows and macOS Sierra! I don't know I'm not the only one, my friends told me that they would like 'Firefox Focus' on their computer. I wanted to know that if there is a technical reason any you don't do this?

Do you mean this app for iOS devices: what is Firefox focus?

On iOS, Mozilla can not release a full Firefox version, so he pulled some products including some of the features of Firefox. If you have Firefox on Mac OS or Windows, these privacy features Focus should be built in and you do not need a separate application of the update.
