No not by aligning the columns

Hi all

I have trouble getting the text remains at the top of a column as shown below. There is no build-up. Any ideas?

Thank you

Screen Shot 2015-12-15 at 12.34.15.png

Found out what it was. It was a rogue "all span" in the line "INGREDIENTS: (per person)."

Don't know how it got there, but the problem is solved!

Thanks a lot for your help.

  • Presentation of the bulletin, by aligning the columns, paragraph breaks, and lines of text

    Hello

    I've never drawn a newsletter before.

    It's annoying me because I try to be as meticulous as possible with my alignment, but I noticed there are all things that don't align.

    I have a paragraph style, with a space before and after. I have three columns. When I look at a line of text across all columns of three, they are not aligned. May they line up if I had all the text directly and no image wraps, but the envelopes of the image and the beginning of a new paragraph in column 2, throws the alignment in column 3.

    What is the best way to align things with the least possible effort?

    Are there tutorials on good bulletin of the layout-design? Presentation of the grid?

  • Not able to the column of the virtual model

    Hello

    I use SQL developer Data Modeler version 3.1.4.710 with 3.2.20.09.

    I am trying to model a virtual column by adding the following properties in the column:
    Allow nulls: not verified
    Data type: varchar2 (1)
    Calculated: checked
    The column expression: the call to a function

    When you generate the DDL, the column is modeled as:
    < Name > VARCHAR2 (1) NOT NULL

    What is the proper way to model the virtual column?

    Thanks in advance,

    Joop

    Hi Joop,

    Yes, your definition is correct. The virtual columns are supported in the Oracle 11 g database, you must define the type of RDBMS for your relational model as Oracle 11 g (or set up) and then you will get good generated DDL.

  • Output parameter does not value of the column formatting

    Here's my table structure:

    < h4 > < font color = "Blue" > CREATE TABLE 'SSPFUSER05 '. "' PEOPLE '.
    (SSN NUMBER (13.0),)
    PIN VARCHAR2 (7-BYTE)

    And here is my procedure below:

    As you can see that the type of the column SSN is NUMBER (13,0). But I leftpad with 0 and assign it to my output V_SSN parameter, whose type is of type CHAR. But I 111196100099 instead of 0111196100099. I tried TO_CHAR (LPAD (SSN, 13, '0')) but does not always help. However, if I return that left padded inside a SYS_REFCURSOR SSN I get what I want. • HTML format is not available in the column

    Hello
    I have configured the different user roles in Obiee 11.
    As an administrator, I can change the column format of a column of text in html format.
    My users cannot select any of the html options (just 'plain text' and "text gross (do not break space)".)
    I gave them the following privileges and restarted the server:
    -Save the Actions containing embedded HTML
    -Save the content with HTML tags
    -Service of HtmlViewService to access

    What might be missing?
    Thank you
    Concerning

    What I saw if I grant access to a group to which belongs my user on the item 'save Formats column in the set of the system' - the user can see all data formats.
    But having this option enabled for users is risky, dangerous and unacceptable.
    This masking ((Save System-Wide Format) option from the front end (after registration of the entire system changes if NECESSARY, to THE CASE WHERE) may be a research topic.)

  • Not Null on the column of a primary key constraint

    I came across a table defined in the same way to...

    create table t (t_id int constraint nn_t_id not null constraint pk_t primary, data key number);

    Of course, the primary key is the is not null, then is there a reason to add the redundant constraint not null?

    There are two parts to your question, I think:

    (1) why add a NOT NULL if a primary key is also reported.
    (2) why is null is NOT a name defined by the user (in this case nn_t_id).

    1 > I think you are right: there is no difference in behavior in the way that Oracle is going to reject the creation of NULL in this column (whether through the direct insert or update with a NULL value). I personally always declares the NOT NULL for columns, I know to never have null, regardless of whether the column is (member of) a PK.

    It's pretty funny, btw, the SQL standard as chosen able to be the NULL default value. I think that we all type much less, if the SQL standard chose NOT NULL default value. But that's another story.

    2 > I don't see given nullability defined by the user of the explicit names now and then, because of some "coding guideline' which dictates that constraint names must never be generated System. This guideline is often presented as a result of the exception handling of "client-side", where the constraint name is filtered SQLERRM and then more personalized to be displayed to the end user. However for NOT NULL constraint violations, I think (does not fully to check) that you are always thrown an ORA-01400 is an ORA-01407. Who nowadays both will tell you exactly (in SQLERRM) which column of this table is currently in violation of a NOT NULL constraint.

    @dpka, you have syntax errors in your solution. If you are casting as a varchar, then your syntax should read "1" instead of 1. Also at the end, he must be "0" instead of 0.

    Mayuri,

    To use your syntax, try this:

    IFNULL (CASE WHEN EDM_TRD_IR_LEG. LEG_ID = 1 THEN CAST (EDM_TRD_IR_LEG. (PAY_RECV_IND AS INTEGER) END ELSE 0, 0)

    .. . If you need the result as a digital for purposes of aggregation...

    Test configuration:
    1. a table is created by SCOTT in the SCOTT schema with a NULLABLE column.

    2. a primary key constraint is added using only the NULLABLE column

    3. Requests for information on USER_TAB_COLS, ALL_TAB_COLS, DBA_TAB_COLS and SYS. COL$ see NOT NULL for the column NULLABLE
    as necessary for a primary key constraint. Views derive their data from the column of $ NULL the sys. Table of $ COL
    using

    4. a query on the DDL metadata table shows the specification for column NULLABLE of origin involved.

    Question - where this original specification NULLABLE is stored?

    This question is based on a question asked by another user in this thread
    Columns becoming nullable after a fall of primary key?

    I created the following specially for that matter test case
    -- scott ensures table does not exist
    DROP TABLE tbl_test CASCADE CONSTRAINTS;

    -- scott creates a table
    CREATE TABLE tbl_test ( col_1 NUMBER,

    -- TBL_TEST   | COL_2       | N

    -- Scott addes a primary key constraint using only the nullable column
    ALTER TABLE tbl_test ADD CONSTRAINT tbl_test_pk PRIMARY KEY(col_1);

    -- scott queries to check the the column nullable status
    SELECT table_name, column_name, nullable
    FROM user_tab_cols
    WHERE table_name = 'TBL_TEST';

    TABLE_NAME,COLUMN_NAME,NULLABLE
    TBL_TEST,COL_1,N
    TBL_TEST,COL_2,N

    -- scott queries to get the table DDL
    select dbms_metadata.get_ddl('TABLE', 'TBL_TEST', 'SCOTT') FROM DUAL;

    DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL('TABLE','TBL_TEST','SCOTT')

      CREATE TABLE "SCOTT"."TBL_TEST"
       (     "COL_1" NUMBER,                   <------ where is this NULLABLE spec stored?

    The DOF shows that Oracle keeps the original spec NULLABLE for the column and uses it to generate the DDL orginal, even if there is a primary key on the table and the system views (and COL$) show the column non NULLABLE.

    So where is the original information NULLABLE actually stored?

    rp0428 wrote:

    I think that it becomes a bit messy depending on order of activity:

    You can see Col. .null$ is set to a non-zero when the desrcibe command displays the column as not null, but it can happen for two reasons:
    (a) user sets the column as not null - in which case you get a line in cdef$ with type # = 7
    (b) the user adds a primary key to table - in which case you get a line in cdef$ with type # = 2

    If you declare null AND add a primary key, you get two lines - that's why it is possible for Oracle to determine if he should remove the flag not null when you remove the primary key and also allows dbms_metadata show the create statement of table without a NOT NULL even when describe it the watch with a NOT NULL - dbms_metadata can respond to the presence of the type # = 2 and absence of the type # = 7.

  • Shows the columns having / sum not zero

    We have a report that HAV total of twenty columns.

    Whenever we run you report (dynamic query) random columns have sum = zero

    We want to show only eachtime the columns having the amount greater than zero.

    concerning

    Jean Marc

    Hi John,.

    OK - I've tested this here [http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=267:43]. The report on the left shows/hides the SAL and COMM columns according to totals. The report on the right shows the complete data. Change the Dept to see this implemented.

    There are other methods available, but that's what I did:

    The select dept list (item name is P43_DEPTNO) is simply a list of departments and a NULL option that returns 0 (zero).

    This report is a SQL statement of:

    SELECT EMPNO, ENAME, SAL, COMM
    FROM EMP
    WHERE :P43_DEPTNO = 0 OR :P43_DEPTNO = DEPTNO
    ORDER BY ENAME

    I have a region in the position after the header that uses "No. Template" and contains two pieces of Hidden - P43_SAL and P43_COMM.

    I have a calculation of element, running "Before Header", which sets P43_DEPTNO to 0 if it is NULL.

    I have a PL/SQL unconditional process, "to charge - before Header", which has the following code to the currently running process:

    DECLARE
     vSAL NUMBER;
     vCOMM NUMBER;
    BEGIN
     SELECT NVL(SUM(SAL),0), NVL(SUM(COMM),0)
     INTO vSAL, vCOMM
     FROM EMP
     WHERE :P43_DEPTNO = 0 OR :P43_DEPTNO = DEPTNO;
     :P43_SAL := vSAL;
     :P43_COMM := vCOMM;
    END;

    And, finally, on the SAL column in the report, I put the Condition Type for 'value of element in the Expression 1. = zero' and the Expression 1 is: P43_SAL. And even on the COMM, but the Expression 1 column: P43_COMM

    When the page is loaded, the process is executed and SAL and COMM totals are calculated and inserted in P43_SAL and P43_COMM. The report runs and conditions check the values of these two hidden items - if a is not null, then the column is displayed.
