  Hi Dj, with 1 logical processor you can host up to 20 virtual machines with single processor with vsphere 4.1... What is a virtual cpu 'it's a HEC (material execution context) .. 1 physical blade, you have 24 hearts... 24 * 20 = 480 VMS but logically only 320 vms online can be hosted on an ESX Server and 512 machines offline.

  There a logical scenario, but may not be practical... first try to install virtual machines with simple CPU and gradually increase the load on the server by adding more virtual machines... As the time you will come to know how many virtual machines can be supported by a single blade according to your envoirnment

  You might be planning to have high IO intensive machines like file/Exchange/SQL server... In this scenario, concept of maximum rates would fail... You have possibility to during the validation and memory, for VMS (balooning), but we must avoid above engagement in production envoirnment. As there is no hard and fast rules for virtual machines, but I hope that above explanation might help you to satisfy your request.

  There is no such thing as 'Friendly' - it is Home Premium or Professional.

  As others have said - if your copy of WIndows came pre-installed, then they are OEM editions which cannot be transferred to another computer in all circumstances.

  You can buy a license to upgrade to WIndows 7 for use on your desktop - but I suggest that you run upgrade first Advisor to ensure that the material can support the operating system properly.

  Insofar as your laptop is slow, it's usually because of too much loading at startup, or malware.

  Do you have an anti-virus installed up-to-date? When was the last time you ran a full system scan?

  You have all the other anti-malware installed apps?

  There is no Vista free download legal available.

  Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

  Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
