No Socket error 11001 and error no Ox800CCC0D

means socket error 11001 and 0x800CCC0D No error and how do I fix it. Whenever I connect to windows mail I get this message.   Its does not not my incoming emails, but cannot send messages, also problems causig enter the windows messaging

Thanks t.

my mistake put .au in post, shows the degree of fatigue, I. I wish it were easy.

account has been/is ok put in place without the .au

am able to send at least. now, the difficulty of the reception...

Check the account name on the general tab of your account properties window;
1. it must be the same as your e-mail address.
2. it can BE
    * E-mail address is removed from the privacy *     (without .au)
or,* address email is removed from the privacy * (with .in but NOT .com)
but not the combination of the two.

You have account: 'mail.bigpond.com.au'.  I think this is why the error message says : host 'mail.bigpond.com.au' is not found.

t-4-2... keep guessing.

  • How to fix the socket error 11001 Error 0x800ccc0d number

Hello! any body can help me fix my windows mail error?

I have problem in my windows mail! the word of error...

The host 'info.mecbco.com' is not found.

Account: * address email is removed from the privacy *, server 'info.mecbco.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110,.

Secure | (SSL): No. Socket error 11001 error number: 0x800CCC0D

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of community of Microsoft.

The socket 11001 error occurs when there is failure to post a link to a server to a client through the Internet. This translates the user unable to access a particular site or FTP over the Internet service.

There are many reasons why a user may receive the socket error. This could mean that there is a change in the host name or has been misspelled. Often, a firewall may block access to the server.

I suggest you to disable the firewall or antivirus and see if it works.

    Reference:

    Enable or disable Windows Firewall

Note: Turn off Windows Firewall might make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.

    Disable the anti-virus software

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Where should I go on my PC to fix this?

In this case, use the settings given here:

Use port 587 instead of port 25 of the SMTP server.

To give you a little history, Windows Mail does not support the HTTP messaging, which for a long time was the only authorized method of access for free Hotmail/MSN accounts. In addition, given that the development of Windows Mail was frozen in July 2006, there no knowledge that Microsoft has enabled POP access for free Hotmail/Live/MSN accounts in February 2009. Therefore, the Windows Mail Account Setup Wizard is hardcoded to reject the Hotmail and MSN addresses. To work around this limitation, when you enter your Hotmail/MSN email address, initially, use a fake domain, such as * address email is removed from the privacy *. After the account setup is complete, you can go back into the settings and correct your email address.

  • Error trying to email craigslist: Socket error: 11001 error # 0 x 800 CC0D

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

IdeWheas: whenever I try to send an advertiser of Craigslist I get the error message "host IE 8 is not found. Check that you have entered the server name correctly. 11001 error # 0 x 800 CC0D: Socket error. How can I fix it so I can answer?

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

It sounds like your network (specifically the e-mail settings) configurations are not correct or there is a problem with the website or email hosting service.  Please contact your service provider Internet (ISP) HelpDesk, or Technical Support (and/or your support of the e-mail provider). A customer service representative will be able to guide you in the implementation of your receiver (especially e-mail information) e-mail and configurations of IE8 if it's part of the problem.  They will also be able to test your line and the modem remotely for all the problems that may be the cause (even if it is very unlikely given the message that you have obtained).  Can you send a message to yourself and receive it without any problems?  The problem could also be that the recipient has problems - has this produced with more of an advertiser or just this one - so just than what it me may a message that it could not receive what you sent - not that you can not send it.  You can try replying to someone else - even if all you say is "I'm in trouble here so I sent it to you just to see if it would work - sorry for the inconvenience, it can have cause and excuse me. '?

Make sure you have a default email set up - go to Start/Default / programs / Default programs and select your e-mail program and make it the default for everything about if it isn't already.

There is also the maybe your ISP email server is "down" (or sound), does not not for now (or whenever you tried).

Please call.  If they cannot help, post back with what they had to say about the problem and we'll see if we can do (but to be honest, that if they cannot help you with this, I don't know what we can do because they have all the configuration information and solve problems like yours) (, it's what they do for a living)-something, but we'll try.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

You may need to enable tcp/ip

SQL Server Express to listen on the named pipes and shared memory. With a default installation, you can not connect remotely to SQL Server Express. You'll need to enable TCP/IP and check if the firewall is enabled.

    To enable TCP/IP:
On the start menu, choose all programs, point to Microsoft SQL Server 2005, point to Configuration Tools, and then click SQL Server Configuration Manager.

Optionally, you can open the computer by right click on Desktop Manager then choosing manage. In computer management, expand Services and Applications, SQL Server Configuration Manager.

Expand SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration, and then click protocols for InstanceName.

In the list of protocols, right-click the protocol you want to enable and then click Enable.

The icon for the Protocol change to indicate that the Protocol is enabled.

    See you soon

First you get a Toshiba Recovery CD and not an original Windows OS CD.
In this case, if you want you can retrieve the whole OS. All Toshiba drivers are preinstalled on the image.

    Now to the error:
cfsserv.exe is a process belonging to Toshiba ConfigFree utility and search wireless devices.
However, malware often use the names of valid program to try to hide themselves. So, please run a full scan with Ad-Aware in making sure you have the latest definitions file.

If it doesn t work I recommend the ConfigFree tool for some audit settings.

    "socket error".

When I try to log the p2p soulseek site, I get the error message "connection failed: socket error.» change the connection settings. How can I fix it? Is - this type of error called a winsock error?  It keeps happening to me on this site. What I've read, it happens when you make changes to a program before concluding that under its weight. Could it happen because I'm deleting files, I don't think that will be completed while the other files are D/Ling? That's what I'm doing wrong? I found a solution to correct an error in Winsock that is to enter the "command prompt" and type "netsh winsock. Will this work? could not send email, now I can't send or receive email.  I contacted my IP to see if it was a problem on their end, and it wasn't. Help, please!

Looks like you are running in a block of 25 port.
As a general rule, the owner of port 25 SMTP server you use must be the same as the entity that provides your Internet connection at the moment. To learn more about this issue, see anti-spam

The workarounds available when sending abroad are the following:

    1. use webmail to send (via your browser).
    2. ask your ISP if they have one port other than '25' for SMTP.
    3. If you use the same connection away from home frequently,
Replace with the SMTP belonging in this regard. It's a bit
difficult, but if you want to go this route, I can provide more details.
    4. If you frequently send to multiple locations, get a free Gmail account,
Configure it to POP access, set up in Windows Mail and use it to
your shipment of household chores. Gmail uses port 465 for SMTP, which is not blocked
    as port 25 is.
