No sound if a midi keyboard is pluged

The keyboard driver installed OK (M-AUDIO, 49i), windows recognizes it.

I use minimoge, I have sound when I click on the virtual keyboard on the screen minimoge.

But as soon as the key board is taken on USBmidi, I see on the screen the key that I push on the keyboard, but I have no sound. Even if I click on the virtual keyboard on the screen minimoge.

I check minimoge output port, nothing changes, it's "Ms.: son microsoft Mapper" and "Ms.: son microsoft Mapper" in the minimoge engine, it is Ms.: Mapper microsoft 1 son and Ms.: son microsoft 2 Mapper.

It seems that windows 8 redirect internally to something wrong.

In Control Panel, the output of the wave is conexant HD audio smart. I got nowhere to alarm in the Control Panel, however I'm updating all the drivers concerned.

I found the answer myself on the Internet at www.benryves.com/products/vistamidi

I had just to watch that minimoge never use device 0. It is in the wave/devices/outputport I put the speaker (conexant audio smart... instead of "Mrs.: son microsoft Mapper")

  • How can I download more sounds to be used with a MIDI keyboard?

In my class of contemporary music at school, we used a little Garageband and there was a lot more categories and sounds to play with the MIDI keyboard. I also want more sounds, particularly the category of instruments in the world that I have not the 10th of Garageband, the same used copy to school, I tried to restore Sound Library several times and there is no change. So far, I have 14 categories for instruments and there was much more to my school.

    Thank you!

The world instrument sounds are part of a Jam Pack. The metaoutil must be purchased at eparately, but is more sold by Apple. You can buy however by purchasing Mainstage. It will be install all the Jam Packs five inthesame folder, where the sounds of GarageBand are installed, so you can use tem with GarageBand.

  • I am trying to use the speakers on my midi keyboard as the default output for Windows 7 device

I am trying to use the speakers on my midi keyboard as the default output for Windows 7 device. I have a midi keyboard Casio CTK-3000 and you want everything to sound out the two speakers on the keyboard.

    You can not.

You can exchange midi data between the keyboard and a PC via the USB port. But not strong like the keyboard is not an audio device and therefore doesn't have the proper drivers.

MIDI is not good in itself, it's just that a series of statements sent to a electonic module that transforms these 0 and 1 for sound samples. This isn't the same principle as an audio card/device.

  • can I play the guitar and midi keyboards at the same time?

IM using the 3 main stage, I would like to play guitar and midi keyboards at the same time. I know that I can have more than one keyboard will at the same time, but I can't understand how to play the guitar too. I use a core Alesis 1 plug the guitar and a Keith McMillen 12 Step midi controller, he reads both just fine alone, but they play together. How can I get there? In addition, Im using a MacBook Pro OS X El Capitan.

    Thank you

    Mike

You add a bunch of audio channels and affect the Core 1 Alesis entry?

  • Pitch bend wheel on my pc - 300 midi keyboard Roland. The Modulation part works but when I try to pitch bend a note using the same logic of wheel just plays a continuous note. Can someone give me some advice please? Thank you

Hi, I have a problem with my pitch bend wheel on my pc - 300 midi keyboard Roland. The Modulation part works but when I try to pitch bend a note using the same logic of wheel just plays a continuous note. Can someone give me some advice please? Thank you

It's a delicate issue... like some patches cannot stipulate pitchbend...

But to quickly test your pitchbend wheel actually works properly...

    Download the free lunch monitor...

    Snoize: MIDI Monitor

Run and see if it sees pitchbend data sent by your keyboard... and therefore by logic.

    Niko79

    Hey there Niko79!

Welcome to Apple Support communities, and one was happy too! GarageBand is an amazing place where we can all get creative and publishing wonderful content. I, too, have an amazing keyboard. Mine is an older Yamaha that I tried to connect with my Mac. In most cases, all that is needed is an update of the driver from the manufacturer. Here is the GarageBand help information:

Be sure to follow the instructions supplied with the keyboard, which may include the installation of the driver appropriate to your computer. Check the Web site of the manufacturer for the latest version of the driver software. If you are using a MIDI interface, remember to follow the instructions provided with the interface.

Due to the specificity of your device, the best solution would be to join Roland Support to confirm if such update is for OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan.

  • MIDI keyboard entry out of semitone (gray 3/oxygen 49 MainStage)

Having a problem where my midi controller (version M-Audio oxygen 49 gray) is read by MainStage 3 (3.2.4) half-step out (C3 poster and sounds like B2, D3 as c# 3, etc.).

13 "MBP running 10.10.5, 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB solid state

Function "Patch transpose" MS is set to 0

    Setting is at 440

    44.1 sampling rate

It happened all of a sudden and applies to all saved concerts as well as newly opened empty concerts. Music entry is read correctly. The keyboard is equipped with no hardware to adjust the setting or the sampling frequency. It was working fine until this point. Any help is greatly appreciated!

You have another audio application running? Already happened when I opened the logic, which was fixed at a different sampling rate. Try closing all applications, to reopen the MainStage and if the problem persists, open the MS preferences and change the sampling frequency.

So, what software are you talking about?

You realize that you will need a DAW and a soft-synth to use the keyboard without a Midi sound Module?

If W7 does not recognize the keyboard here is the dramatic thing to make last ditch attempt.

Go into Device Manager and uninstall all USB ports. Then restart. Let W7 do its thing and then connect the keyboard. He finds? BTW, doing this means that if you have any other USB device, you must let W7 "drivers".

    See you soon,.

  • Sound buttons on the keyboard no longer works.

Three weeks ago, I bought a HP desktop computer... and on the keyboard there are buttons that enabled me to turn OFF the sound, or to increase or decrease the volume. They worked very well... but my computer did an update from HP yesterday and now these buttons do not work. How can I enable the use of these buttons back?

HP update was the installation of quick start HP on my HP Pavilion PC WE p7-1534

I just need to uninstall the HP Quick Start application?

ERICO said to go ahead and uninstall HP Quick Start... which I did and then rebooted my system and now the sound buttons work again.

    Thanks Erico
