No sound on Display port

I have connected my T500 to a LCD TV using the display port adapter and HDMI to HDMI cable. Picture is fine, but his fate from the top of the tower only. How can I get sound through the TV please?

Roy

The current view port does not sound, video only. It is a hardware limitation.

    Hey there Mac5321,

You can connect any monitor to this port? The port on the GPU works at all? Have you tried another port VGA, HDMI or other available to connect to any monitor at all? The computer worked before?

I try to reset the BIOS to its default settings and retry the system if it will bring an image to any monitor. The fault may be in the GPU or motherboard not providing the connection appropriate for video output. Is the computer works properly, the fans spinning, initial POST beep, etc.?

  • Mini Display Port has completely stopped working

So I bought a Mini Display Port to HDMI adapter and it has worked perfectly well for more than a month. That's until 3 days ago. Out of nowhere I plugged my HDMI into the adapter and the power led of the monitor turned on and after a few seconds of reading, "No Signal". I have to hold the power cord in the more odd angles to get even for the screens of mirror, and even in this case, the screen is static at 80%. I looked online and tried every single tip or solution I've seen without success. All my HDMI cords are fully functional as I tried each one with my PS4 and works perfectly, so this isn't the issue. I've never had problems like this with any other Apple computer. Probably because no other computer using mini display ONLY ports. If anyone has had this problem and found a solution please let me know, if I can try to get this working. I have a MacBook Pro 15 in. mid-2012 with the processor i7 under OS X 10.8.5

This suggests a possible problem with the cord.  I would like to make an appointment with an Apple store genius bar and I tested the unit and the power cord.

    Ciao.

  • Compaq 8000 Elite SFF PC: No sound from HDMI port dispayMonitor

I have a display port that I plugged an adapter to use a HDMI cable for external HD (TV) video.  The video is fine but I have no audio on the TV.  What I need to in Exchange for the map of the screen for a video card?  Or, if the current DM port support audio.  I downloaded all the video and audio drivers available.

Thank you.  I was afraid of that.  I guess that the solution is to install a new video card?

  • No sound on the Port Replicator port II (Tecra S11 - 12M)

Hello! Because today, I have no sound on my sound from the Port Replicator II (PA3680E-1PRP) plug to run my external speakers. Instead, the internal speakers are running. On the laptop itself, making works well, only the port replicator appears to be dead.

It has worked well over 10 months now without any complaint. I've seen a few similar cases in forums but no answer that could help me. I didn't lie all the drivers again.

    I work with WIN7/64-bit Service Pack 1.

    Anyone know how to fix?

    Thank you, christophe

  • Satellite A500: problem with the driver of sound and display after update!

    A500 Windows 7-64 bit

I download the latest driver (6.0.1.6048) sound and display driver (8.16.11.8973) and I have a few problems.
The colors are too bright and the sound is too deep (as the middle are too low).

    Hello

Then why you n t go back to earlier versions of the driver?
In your case, I would recommend setting the operating system at the point of time at first, until you have updated the drivers.
Usually, this should help to recover the old drivers again.

    Welcome them

  • X 1 carbon 20BS do not recognize the Mini Display Port

Hello - I have recently acquired a Thinkpad X 1 carbon 20BS with a new installation of window 10. While I am able to connect to external monitors via HDMI, I was unable to do that via the Mini Display Port. Connection of a monitor to the Mini Display Port didn't do nothing - the monitor is not identified by Windows.

So far, I have installed the drivers of:, but it did not help. Any help to find ways get the carbon X 1 to recognize the Mini Display Port will be really appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

Jake - Thanks a lot for the reply. Happy to report that I was able to get the mini DP to work and he recognizes the compatible monitors very well.

I tried to find a solution to link the Thunderbolt display carbon, but unfortuantely it seems not to be a Thunderbolt controller that is compatible with the mini DP carbon.

  • HDMI to mini display port

I have a Mac mini end of 2012 with shot of lightning/mini display port and hdmi port. An external hard drive is attached to the latter, but it doesn't have a second port for daisy chaining a monitor. I would like to connect a monitor apple display 24 inches to the mini. This view has a mini display port connector. Can I connect it to the mini via hdmi and display port cable or is it that is one way, only they are a signal of the Mac mini thunderbolt port input hdmi on a monitor?

  • Display Port Adapter

43N9160 Display port to DVI adapter - what is an active adapter that could be used for AMD eyefinity?

    Thank you

Lenovo do not sell active displayport to DVI adapter, as you pointed out is a liability, so it won't work with AMD eyefinity.
