No sound on Equium L30 with XP

Hello

Yesterday the sound on my laptop just stopped working. I tried to play all kinds of sounds and even tried Realtek HD Audio managers own test but still no sound, no speakers, no helmets... I checked all the sound tuners are high and not cut off. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers audio, read in the own drivers-Toshiba site.

It's my computer btw: http://nordic.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/jsp/productPage.do?LNG=16&service=ND&PRODUCT_ID=123496 & toshibaShop = false
Nothing indicates that he cannot play sounds. When I start XP and connection manager Audio DD Realtek ball - warns me: "information: a cable has been disconnected. What should I do?

Hello

Everything you have already done is just and I don't understand what the problem is here. I recommend the latest and most drastic method. Back up all your data and reinstall the OS using a supplied recovery media.

If you do this please let us know if the sound is working again.

  • Equium L30 - no sound in Windows XP Home edition

I have read all the messages for the sound with Realtek HD audio problem but still no sound on my laptop. I tried to install software patches from Microsoft, I tried to install the vista drivers but nothing works. The sound is properly installed but when I go into Winamp or any other media device I can't hear anything. No sound windows, nothing, but the device is not functioning properly.

All these problems are Windows XP Home edition. In Windows Vista, I have no problem at all. I have an Equium L30. Help, please! Excuse for my English.

You already mentioned that you have already installed Windows (patch) patches.
Well, the problem is that you must reinstall these patches at first and then you could install driver sound. These fixes are needed; Fixes KB888111 and KB835221.

The audio driver (Realtek HD Audio) can be downloaded from the Toshiba driver page!

    Good luck and greetings ;)

  • Re: Very bad sound on Equium A100

Hello. I have an Equium A100 with sound problems. The best I can describe it, but it sounds like a Dalek.
I am running Xp pro. I uninstalled and re installed the driver several times in the hope that would sort, but that did not work.
    Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

Before starting to discuss your problem please post what model of laptop you have exactly (A100-xxx) and what operating system you use.

By the way: this A100 is old enough and, if I m remembering well, some of them were shipped with Windows XP Media Center Edition. I assume that with original preinstalled OS sound must be OK. Can you confirm this?

  • Equium L30 - processors that are supported?

I wonder if anyone knows what Hare taken processors supported by the Equium L30? Only thing I can find is that it is socket 479.

    MVH / / Bragelito

    Hello

To be honest, I can t recommend upgrading the processor. You will not get a solid performance gain, the difference is only weak because other parts like motherboard, chipset, graphics card, etc. have the same slow after upgrade.

In addition, your laptop is only pretested with the current CPU. So no one can say whether or not the other CPU will work and if this update is a bit risky.

And are you sure, that the CPU cooler is good enough to cool the fastest CPU?

    Hello

I m not surprised! This virtual sound utility only works with XP!

    Hello

Why you n t read the document page of the Toshiba driver installation instructions and install all drivers of Tosh appearing in this document?
Is that if no n t button work, the drivers are missing or you have installed the wrong drivers.
I think that you didn t install the drivers needed!

So check the installation instructions document!

  • the camera shutter sound cannot be silent with the mute button on my phone i 6 s

the camera shutter sound cannot be silent with the mute button on my phone i 6 s

Depending on where you purchased your phone, this is not possible, because of legislation in these countries that regulate this feature.

In all other cases, try to force reboot the phone by holding down the button sleep and home for 10 seconds, until the Apple logo comes back again. You won't lose data, but it can cure some problems after installing new software or applications.

In the case where this does not work, restore the phone:

You must use the volume control on the monitor. That's how Apple means yo do and does not provide any method using Mac

  • Equium A60 with defective built in memory

    Hello

I tried to recover my Equium A60 with the recovery DVD and it does not boot to windows. I tried to install a number of different versions of windows and the error messages lead me to the conclusion that the module memory is faulty. The system came with 256 MB of memory and it is hard because it is part of the motherboard. My question is if I buy a memory module and install it in the expansion slot will be it be prevented from working by the faulty memory?

    Post edited by: binkey1st

    Hey Kevin,

There is unfortunately no way to isolate the faulty RAM on your motherboard. Even if you install a second module of RAM the system always tries to use the built in so defective module.

You will need to take you laptop to an ASP for the defective replace module.

    Kind regards

  • I have no sound on my PC (with the exception of BEEEEEEEPS!). I checked under the hardware profile and all audio devices work but when I go in the sound settings it says there is no device installed.

I have a HP Pavillion PC that I am running Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 on it.

In the device section in the Control Panel, it says that all audio devices are working properly.  I even went to Microsoft Help on each one and there is no solution.

When I go to Sound Devices, once again in the Control Panel, I see a message on each tab indicating that no device is installed.

Other noise problem, I have no other problems.

    Help, please!

    Hello Sonier,

Thank you for your message.  Do you know what type of sound card you have?
Click 'Start' > right click on 'My computer' > click 'manage '.
    Click on Device Manager.
In the right pane, click the (+) sign next to sound, video...
Underneath, you should see your sound card.
With this information you can go to the manufacturer website and download/install the latest driver for your card.
Please let us know if this information was or was not useful for getting your problem be resolved.

  • WMA files have sound to them playing with windows 7 but not windows XP.

original title: wma files have sound to them playing with windows 7 but not windows XP.  This is the same file, any ideas?

When you play a file using Media Player in Windows 7, there is a sound noise on the file, the same file in Windows XP is fine. The file has been converted to WAV using Wavelab in Windows XP and is fine. It is only on Windows 7 machines, there is a problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

    1. is the specific question at this specific file format?

    2. do you get an error message?

    3. the problem persists on a single computer to Windows 7?

Most likely you are missing a codec. You can set Windows Media Player to automatically download and install the codecs.

    a. Open the Windows Media Player.

    b. click on Tools and then Options.

    c. click the Player tab.

    d. check the Download codecs automatically.
