  1. just something checkin: Lenovo driver facilities require two steps 1. Extract 2. Install. When you double-click on the driver download are extracted, usually in a C:\DRIVERS folder. Then you go to this directory and run the Setup program, usually setup.exe. The directory and installation method may vary - check the installation instructions. You do the two steps?

  I have a new Latitude D520 and all jump sounds (tested with .mp3 and .wav files). The problem occurs on all players (tested with Windows media player and Winamp).

  I recently registered as a result of utilities systems Winzip & found that I lost my sound and I was to find that the new hardware wizard wants to install diver for IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. Read the previous questions, I have concluded that Winzip had deleted the Sigmatel audio driver & found this is the case of the audit.
  I have restored the driver but still have no sound.  I realize that I probably needed to remove the Codec IDT: D Audio but can't find it in Add/Remove Programs Windows, high definition Audio Driver package - KB835221.

  I also see that in my programs folder there is a program for IDT: D A Codec.

  I am no expert on computers, but please can someone help me with what to do next because I am very wary of just delete things. (if possible in simple English is a minimum of "computer language).

  BTW, you don't buy any utility driver update to update your drivers for you. Identify your manufacturer or the motherboard manufacturer, access it its support page to get the last available device driver.

  There are a few things to try. Keep doing this until the problem disappears.

  First of all, if you have not already, shut down the computer completely, wait about 1 minute, then restart.

  Disconnect the wifi network either via system preferences, either by pressing the "Option" key and clicking on the wifi menu bar icon.

  Reset the DHCP lease by going to system preferences > network and show Advanced Options, and then click the button to "Renew the DHCP lease" TCP/IP tab.

  You can delete the wifi network of system preferences > network > network name... then close system preferences. Then reopen and add the network in.

  You can also restart your wifi router, it erases the old connections. Most of the routers you just turn off and wait a few minutes, then restart. You can also reset your ISP modem if you have a.

  Finally, you can try to reset the PRAM and SMC on your Mac. I'll get this info here on Apple Support KBs for your particular Mac.

  Be sure to back up your computer.
