No sound on Windows 7 installed on an iMac (SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C - Major HD) Audio

I have an imac with windows 7 installed. It's a clean install without bootcamp. There is no sound on the machine. The ID of the salesperson, I found that the unit is SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio. I tried to install 3 different drivers made for Dell with the same audio card. None of them work, saying the device is disconnected or found or not functional. Any solution to this?

Same story with the built in isight camera. I would be grateful if you can help solve these problems of driver for cross-platform hardware/software compatibility.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Leveneur

If you are using Windows on a Mac (if Parallels or Bootcamp) you must use a USB audio device for microphone input. I have not tested for output on speakers but a full duplex audio USB pod will probably cure the problem as well.

  • XPS 400 supports Windows 8 install?

    Hello

I have a Dell XPS 400 with a Pentium D 820 Dual Core 2.8 GHz. bought this in 2006 and upgraded to 2 GB of RAM. Is this configuration supports the installation of Windows 8? All the important issues?

It works but it is NOT supported for windows 8.

If your CPU has no option to run disable security for bits in the bios, that it will not be installed.

Not all processors have this feature.

All models of Pentium D seem to have the NX bit.

If the latest version of the bios would be recommended BEFORE the upgrade.

VISTA will have problems before SP2

SP1 is required prior to SP2

Complete installation of SP1 and SP2 is recommended.

I have windows xp installed on my computer. I plugged in my speakers logitech box and I know the speakers work as I went down my dad's computer and they were going when he had it. I don't know much about computers and I can't really afford to pay someone to look for me. I think there may be something wrong with my sound card, but as I said I don't know much about computers

If the PC has moved when it was given to you, make sure that the speakers are plugged into the correct audio device decision-making. IIRC it's the green plug. If they are USB, plug it into another USB port.

Re-post if it isn't that, giving also make, name and model n ° of your PC/computer laptop and similar details for your Logitech speakers. Also right click on my computer > properties > hardware > Device Manager > all yellow exclamation then your audio device? Any reference to an audio device (Realtek, Soundmax...?

  • Satellite A100 - no sound with Windows XP Pro SP3

    Hello

I'm the reconstruction of a laptop Toshiba A100-PSAA9A-10U038 with a new installation of Windows XP Pro SP3.

At this point, I have not all sounds (Yes, the volume is set to the top).

As this is my first post I covered I hope that most of the bases as with SP3 and I installed all the updates available from Toshiba and Microsoft - well at least, I guess I have. I downloaded the latest updates from Realtek who advised in a general forum but no luck.

Device Manager tells me that there are problems with a "PCI Device" and a "unknown device", and I assume that one of these two is the culprit.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Hi mate

I think that you have installed the driver of his evil.
    See this page:
    http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/support/notebooks/satellite/A100/psaa9a-10u038/download?OS=22

you will find all of the Win XP drivers for this model of laptop.
As you can see there are two different Realtek drivers:
    V Realtek Audio Driver 5.10.0.5253
    -Realtek ALC861 Audio Driver 5.10.0.5200

To my knowledge, you have the Realtek HD audio Manager.
But before install you the audio driver SP3 must be installed, it seems, that you did
However, the most recent audio Realtek driver can be downloaded from the Realtek page directly.
Select this check box, and then choose Manager Realtek HD audio for Win XP.

    Should work.
