  I'm almost at the end of my rope.  I'm working on a project that uses .mov files.  Problem is that every time that I import them into the bin, no audio appears (not even in the preview window).  I tried to use the media encoder to make a copy of the files to .mp3 and .wav format, but the files just released silent.  None of the waveforms or whatever it is.  Then I tried to encode as Quicktime, PP does not recognize the file type.  I am now at a loss.  Honestly, I don't have a problem with it until this last update.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  I installed filmic Pro on my iPhone and pulled two clips, one with AAC audio and the other with audio AIFF. Of course, one with audio AIFF lost audio when importing Premiere Pro and still when I dragged into Media Encoder. Seems to be a bug that's worth logging: feature request/Bug Report Form

  Could be a problem with film recording Pro with audio AIFF, could be a problem elsewhere.

  Moral of the story for filmmakers: always test your workflow before shooting. (This should not be a new morality either.)

  Go to the Photoshop preferences, then on the performance tab.

  From there please click on advanced settings and then please change the "basic" drawing mode and also please uncheck "Use Open GL"

  Restart Photoshop and let me know if you are able to work with the Liquify tool.

  For now, I suggest to import the video clip in Windows Movie Maker, which is an application integrated into Windows Vista and check if you get its in.

• No sound when importing. Video file M2TS in PP

  Hello I hope someone can give some insite on why I'm having this problem. I use the Hauppauge HD PVR to capture images of my DVR HD

  and I'm getting results mixed when I import in PP. The video is very good, and sometimes audio works and other times it doesn't, I left PP comform file before I try to change. Captures are @1920 x 1080 5.1 audio, if I capture with only 2 audio channels I have no problem and everything is fine but captures 2 channel audio kinda defeats the purpose to the Bluray highdef. When I view the same file that does no audio in PP with a player just plays and sounds great, so I know that the capture process is fine. Any suggestion would be appreciated!

  It is unlikely, especially with SD material. Reverse engineering AC3 encoders/decoders can often cause problems, but fully licensed are more expensive, so sometimes corners are cut to make an attractive market better/more price for certain products. Hauppauge is perhaps one of them.

• No sound when importing

  I now use first pro 2.  I shoot in Sony handycam with HARD drive.  When I copy the image files on my computer and import them for premiere pro 2, it works fine.  Audio and video of perfect work.  When I import the same files to premiere pro cs3, audio does not work.  My files are in format MPG2.  The same problem happened with cs4 and cs5.  Someone help me please.

  What is perhaps the Audio CODEC in these files, AC3?

  If it IS AC3, then you will need to go to your Encore CS 3 installation and find the .dll to AC3 file (do not have this exact name very convenient, but it is different from that of EncoreDVD 2.0.) That copy into folder root PrPro CS 3 and AC 3 material should then play.

  If it is AC3 and worked in PrPro 2.0, it is likely that at some point, you copied the .dll in the folder root of PrPro 2.0.

  Of remarks PrPro CS 4.2, this .dll file has been installed in PrPro, so the question of AC3 has lapsed.

  If your Audio CODEC is something else, please let us know what it is.

• problems to capture the audio layer when you import the m2ts files

  Hi all, I'm new on the side of the entire video editing and so would be grateful for the help.

  I just bought a camcorder Canon HF200 HD, and a Sony Vaio notebook that came with Premiere Elements 7.0 preinstalled.

  Last month I've been shooting sequences and down just to try to change everything and set up a DVD.

  The problem I have right now (and I've just started using the program, so everything is new for me) is that while I seem to be able to import the m2ts file format in which my camera records, only the video is imported by first - no audio (it reads the file ok, no errors appear, but when I go to review images there is video but no sound).

  I can play all my videos in Windows Media Player very well, both video and audio.  So it seems that my machine is able to read the files correctly in this program.  However, it seems that the audio drop out when I import the file in first.  The program was pre-installed on my computer and when I have a look at the audio settings, it doesn't seem to be a possibility to change the settings to something different.

  So far, I've spent a long time googling and trying to find a solution, but without any joy immediately.

  Enjoy the anyone can offer any assistance.  Is it just a simple setting I need to change?  Or I have to somehow convert the files in a different format before Elements 7.0 can read?

  the machine I have appear to be consistent with the specifications required by PE7 (and given that it came with pre-installed PE7 which should be the case).

  There are two things to consider:

  1.) edition of most of the images, especially material to SD

  2.) editing AVCHD, currently the most demanding of all popular video formats to edit. That's what you have.

  Now when you launch the pre, you get a splash screen. There you can open new create a new project, open an existing project that has been recently opened, or open a project by browsing to it. We can also leave.

  In your case, you go again and when the dialog box opens, choose the preset for AVCHD w / DD 5.1 SS Audio.

  Also note, that in the Edit Mode, there are two Modes of display (access via two icons to the left of the lower panel), view timeline and sceneline view. For DD 5.1 SS Audio Clips, you will find Timeline View Mode to be the best. Now, you can switch back, but the timeline view Mode will give you infinite control. It is estimated that change the most programs use, and most publishers use.

I use Messages every day to keep in touch with friends and family, so I know how important it is to make sure you get all your notifications and would be happy to help you!

  It is possible that you cut your conversation with this person. The section "Mute conversations" in the following article will give you more details on where to control and how to enable and disable.

  I use the Waves GTR plugin for recording guitar in Logic Pro X, but because it puts a lot of pressure on the CPU, I tried he governs through a "bus" instead of having the plugin separately on every guitar track. • external hard drive mounts as the camera when you import videos in FCPX

  When I try to import media into FCPX, my external HD rises like a camera and never displays anything (tricks and spins forever).

  I have other external HD pairs and they mount as expected when you import. I can get to the external HD in question, it is just when I go to import items I hit a snag. I make changes to the properties of my library and changed back. Still have a problem. See screenshot of the Properties window and the import library.
