• HP LaserJet CP1525nw color - engine comm error.

  Hi, I have a CP1525nw which gives me the above "Comm. engine error", I tried to reset the settings to factory default but also to reset the NVRAM, which none has solved the problem. I tried to print web pages integrated state pages and the status menu on the printer causing the impression of having a new error, 49, and then the printer reboots back to the 'Comm. of engine error ". I tried to update the firmware via USB, but because it's a engine comm error it won't allow me to update the firmware. Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated! Is this a problem that I can fix it easily and cheaply, or the printer will require repairs HP?

  So, I've discovered the problem. The printer has been recently delivered to me and in transit the DC controller board was cracked and broken. So, mystery solved. Thanks for the suggestions!

• HP Color Laser Jet MFP M177fw Pro - Scanner Error 22

  I get the same Scanner Error 22 on the Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M177fw like many others have posted.  Tried uninstalling\reinstalling the software and tried the most common loading drivers but Scanner error prevented this piece of finish.  Support and I was told we would have to pay $49.95 for them to help us solve the problem.  We just bought this printer 5 weeks ago.  Is this all we can try?

  Thank you for your response. This solution does not solve my problem. HP customer service had travelled me several tests (took about 20-25 minutes total) but ended up sending me a replacement printer. It arrived within two days and so far, the replacement works great. HP has also paid to have the original shipped in return. The process was fairly hassle.

• HP Color Laser Jet CP1215: print - guard 'book light' flashing - printer stops charging of paper does not alter

  Hello!

  For about a week, I have the following problem with my HP Color Laser Jet CP1215: after 2-3 pages of printing, the device stops abruptly in the middle of a job and the light number 5 (paper) continues at the flashing light.

  However, the bin is full with paper.

  Ignitions and extinctions help only for another 2-3 pages, then printing will stop again as described above.

  Is there maybe a photoelectric cell that needs to be cleaned or a mechanical part that gives the status of bad paper from the paper tray to the printer?

  I can see how frustrating it would be. To determine the cause, we need to use more than one document. Redundant that some steps may seem, I would execute all.

  Please, try the steps in this these guides:

  • HP Laserjet CP1215 and printers CP1217 - 'paper ' Error Message is displayed and the printer does not look upward or feeding paper.
  • The Paper Jam flashing on HP Color LaserJet CP1215, CP1217 printer.

  If the problem persists, try a hard reset:

  • Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.
  • Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

• (New slope on) Print at 1200 dpi inDesign CS5 for a Xerox color laser.

  I have print magazines to calendars and other things like that.

  If I use Photoshop CS3 ~ CS5 I can print a laser 600 dpi photo for my Xerox 1200 dpi Postscript 3 active and get very good aspect of the picture. Even better if I use an image of 1200 dpi in the first place, but when I use inDesign CS4 ~ CS5 I can't print to the Xerox what anyone more than 600 dpi. Sure I can place a picture of 1200 dpi in the document, but it still prints at a resolution that looks suspiciously at 300 dpi and 1200 dpi printing option is not available for me. I have filled the xerox to the capacity of RAM and a hard drive in there to store popular on documents.

  I explored several ways some Associates and posters on these forums have suggested, but I still can't the inDesign print quality I get from Photoshop (or also a program of popular layout of the Canada).

  The disturbing thing, that I have yet found the answer is:

  Printing presses commercial print at 2400 dpi. (let's not confuse the issue here, with lpi screens) inDesign is supposed to be a professional level program, you would think would be able to issue exit 2400dpi if commercial presses use this resolution. If this is the case... Can someone tell me please how inDesign output 2400 or even 1200 dpi?

  I tried the document as PDF distillation and utilization of pure postscript without result. If the printer did not accept images of 1200 dpi from Photoshop, I might be tempted to believe that it was a printer problem, but I am convinced, is not. I could say that I also have an old color laser Minolta (Postscript 3) too. The outcomes are of better quality than the Xerox, but at a huge cost of consumables. I also recognize that the Xerox is a laser LED and not choice ideal for image reproduction but still quite good enough (from Photoshop) for the work it does.

  I'll save you some time here. The OS is Windows7 and XP Professional.

  A hint at the answer I needed was provided in the forum ID. I now know that default ID will be resample images at 300 or 600 dpi unless you specify to send all the data of the image. Then it will be indeed print at a resolution of 1200 dpi printer and produce photographic quality images that look like photographs.

  LED printers (as opposed to Laser printers) use the same technology as photo printers. I also have a LED head for my photo Durst enlarger. It prints at a resolution higher than the Xerox but even when I expand past that is the optimal size, (not true 1200 dpi) quality was better that I had since indesign and everything I got from 1200 ppp out of Photoshop.

  I knew that because I had read somewhere about the ID to send images of size that it could be done. I didn't realize that the statement would be so cryptic as an option of three letters 'all' in the print dialog. Maybe Adobe should participate in this in the next version update?

  I am the owner of a color Laser Jet MFP M277dw Pro. I get updates almost every week, and the software update is very strange. I'm clicking on the update system, it takes a lot of time to meet up with the text saying I'll remove the actual update or add another device. When I say no, thanks, I'll get a message saying that my update was successful (but only if I have to cancel this message). I don't understand why I have to go through this illogical question. Also, I don't understand why it is not necessary to update very frequently, especially when there is no explanation of the reason why.
  
  The two just exclamation points annoy me because I think that there must be a problem with the software, even if the printer works well.

  1. Tap the Setup icon (gear with the wrench)
  2. Tap the gear icon, which is the icon (system configuration).
  3. Tap the first option which is the language.

  First of all, I could enter option 11 and run the factory reset, I was so happy because I thought it won't be easy... but then after I did the factory reset... I get this blue screen. If I press ESC I get into this next screen:

  F1 system information

  F2 System Diagnostics

  F9 boot device Options

  F10 BIOS Setup

  F11 recovery system

  ENTER - continue starting.

  This is what happens when I click on one of these options:

  F1, I enter the system of information without any problem, then I click on to continue and return to the screen last... so I press F2 and super, I'm able to run the Test of memory and hard drive check 100% without any problem in one of those who, after that I'm done with my tests I press exit and I'm back to F1 , F2, menu etc... now I want to try F9, F10 or F11. disappointment in this option 3 I go back to the blue screen described at the beginning of this post. (I already plug in a USB key with a bootloader, which works perfectly)

  so I can't do anything, nothing at all! crazzines.

  So what I did to check why I can't enter BIOS or at least to boot from my USB... I removed the lid of my laptop botton and removed the hard drive and is then, how I was or I am able to log in the BIOS - I made the changes to start USB first, then the HD and that's how I was able to boot from USB - BUT if I connect the hard drive back I'm not able to enter the BIOS or boot from USB - so basically I'm stuck in this blue screen and I can't boot from a USB key, if I connected HD... I can't use any option... no BIOS, nothing... So yet again, I disconnect the HD.

  If you can't access BIOS with the HDD connected, you certainly won't be able to start on the recovery USB. This is indicative of a failing hard drive.

  Install a new drive hard and then start on the recovery key.

  My new laser Jet worked very well until I followed the instructions on the printer for an automatic update. Now print is ruined. Page layout is described in gray, and look bad color photos. This happened DIRECTLY after that I said yes to the screen to update printer on the printer itself. I did not change my Mac.

  I tried closing printer, computer shutdown, and then restart the printer, then restart the computer.

  The Configuration report (can barely read.) Firmware Datacode says: 20160331, which is apparently the most recent printing for my model software.

  After trying countless things, including uninstalling and reinstalling the printer and download the latest driver, I called Technical Support. The number is on the internet, not on HP. 800-334-5144 where you need it. They continue to try to trick you online, but eventually, you get to someone who can help.

  When I described the print results, I was getting, she had me do the cleaning Page, 3 x and 3 x color calibration, which corrects the problem.

  The problem of updating firmware with the trainer, is what I * think * she said.

  If your printer works fine... DON'T let NOT download an update.

  My CP1525nw color printer leaves the magenta veins on the left side of each page to print.  I tried to clean the printer using the clean function built into many times I removed and cleaned the amgenta cartridge, and I also deleted every piece of software my machine HP and reinstalled the drivers for this printer.  Magenta strekas are still there. They are always on the left side of the page.

  Well, it's obvious that you're upset.  I'd be for.  To make this real simple.  You have a bad magenta toner cartridge. Cleaning will not work because the wiper inside the toner cartridge blade went probably bad toner causing the flight of this side and causing the problem.  Replace the magenta toner with a new toner hp original and all should be good.
