No video after Flash 8 Video Encoder

I read some other posts, and although they are similar, none of the posted solutions helps me solve my specific problem.

Using Flash 8 under Windows XP Pro SP2, I have a MPEG-2 file. I can play the file using Windows Media Player 11 and RealPlayer 11 MPEG but I can't play using QuickTime 7.2. When I insert the MPEG file in Flash 8 Video encode (to convert it into an FLV file), it does not seem to recognize that there is a part of the video. It recognizes an audio portion. By that I mean:

1. in Flash 8, click file > import > import video...

2 navigate the MPEG file and click Next

3 selected progressive download... and click Next

4. in the screen of the encoding, the video portion (upper right corner) is just empty.

In the MPEG files that work, I see the first frame of the video. Thus, Flash 8 Video Encoder does not recognize that there is a part of the video. Also, in advanced settings, tab Encodign, the video box encode is grayed out and not selectable. Only the Audio Encoder is controllable.

By writing this, I think that the problem is my MPEG file. So I'll keep looking on the net for solutions to this. I just hope that someone encountered this topic in this forum and provide some guidance.

Thank you.

  • Flash video encoding with x 264

I'm going nuts trying to find a definitive answer on video encoding for FMS (RTMP).  All the docs I found speak by CBR (constant bitrate encoding).  But all the tools I tried to not support CBR or so bad it will take months to complete the work that I have.

Does anyone know if the VBR is a dealbreaker for Flash using FMS video streaming?

-J' tried Adobe Media Encoder supplied with CS4, but he does not like my source files.

-Sorenson Squeeze 5 not CBR, but it is very slow.

-x 264 seems to be the winner regarding the speed and quality, but it does not support CBR.

-H264 of MainConcept does CBR (I think it's the same codec encoder from Adobe), but the Pro version is $ 1,000.  :-(

    Am I missing something?

    Any suggestion would be great!

    Hey once again

IM using Sorenson on a laptop with Duo CPU 2.40 GHZ and 4 GB of Ram. Its no where it is as slow as you describe.

From my experience, you should have a 1:1 relationship in the long term when encoding on a decent computer specced. So if the source material is 60 minutes it should take about the same time (maybe a little more short/long) to encode the material to a new format. Special like 2-pass VBR or similar settings could increase the time to.

I suggest you contact Sorenson and ask if they might have a suggestion.

Episode engine is in my opinion more than one professional tool - where higher prices. The performance is about the same that Sorenson on my laptop - but you have even more control of the different parameters. You can download a trial for the encoder Office on their site, I recall: http://www.telestream.net/episode/overview.htm

FFMpeg is really decent too - but it lacks the nice interface of Sorenson.

  • video to FLV created with flash 8 video encoder

Anyone know why the flv files that I created using the flash 8 video encoder does not seem all the metadata in them? or maybe what they do but they never kick off the NetStream.onMetadata event so I can't read...

Even if I use the "import video" function of Flash Pro 8, I have the same problem - still video FLV created using Sorenson Squeeze works very well, so I'm pretty confident that my code is OK.

Even more strangely, if I use the FLVPlayback component comes with Flash 8, which seems to read OK metadata!

    Argh!

Just to complicate things even more, using flash for NetStream.onMetadata said: "the utility Flash video exporter (version.
1.1 or higher) incorporates video [...] time in the video file itself. »
Far as I can tell I have the 1.0 version of the encoder/exporter video flash but I'm damned if I know where to get an update of...! Since CS3 came out, it has been harder and harder to get things about flash 8 on the Adobe site...

Well, that's the thing - the metadata never trace if the video is encoded with encoder flash video, but this code would work very well with video encoded with sorenson squeeze.

think that I worked on it now though: in order to pause the video at the beginning I call NetStream.seek (0) when I get "NetStream.play.start".
For some reason when I do this with encoded flvs using the encoder flash video, stop the shooting onMetaData event - it works very well with other FLV files! weird... will have to find another way to break the video at the beginning I guess.

    Thanks for the reply though

  • Black screen after flashing to latest BIOS

Nothing but black screen after flashing the latest bios (fan, leds work)...

I can do, or that of new bios/motherboard can help? (I tried to rest the battery, press F8...) Thanks in advance

I presume that the BIOS is doomed. What you need is a professional help with this then contact the nearest service provider and ask for help.

By the way: check this forum using the advanced search option. In the past, I have seen several interesting discussions on BIOS recovery. I m quite skeptical on this subject but maybe you will be lucky and find the solution.

  • Satellite A500-1DN (PSAR3E) - Dead BIOS after flashing

    Hi all.
First of all, sorry for my English.

My problem is simple, I have a bios dead after flashing Toshiba service station (or something like that).

How it happened? : 4 days ago, it asked me to update. It was for me quite normal because she asked for updates on a daily basis. I enablished day and after a few cliks on button then I noticed it has been updated to BIOS and is almost in half. I wanted to wait to the end (because I know if I stop uptade of bios, I end up with dead bios (bios corrupted)) but collapsed almost at the end and he showed me a few errors. After that my laptop did a restart and I couldn't stop it. He died.

Now, if I push the power button / stop I get a screen black (as it is off) som LED turns on and the Cpu fan to perhaps 10%.

What I did the last 3 days? : I searched all the residents on what to do with it. I tried maybe 10 types out crisdisks with usb and CD (with floppy isn't becose Bios for my laptop is too big for 1 floopy).
I tried to start with FN + B this has worked for me CD player began to search for CDs, USB key showed activity, but dead end happened nothing. I tried to make the Boot usb with the latest minidos.sys and phlash16.exe. I tried to combinate but still nothing.
I tried everything I found on internet forums around. Nothing helps.
Another thing is that only bios I found was 1.90. If anyone has an older bios for my laptop pls give me a link. I'm losing hope becose I can not find anithing on google.
I am an advenced user I almost did this medication with the pc, but I've never worked with dead bios.

Pls someone help me and give me a correct crisdisk for my model. Or another sugestion.

    Hello

Sorry, mate, but you should contact the http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/generic/ASP_SUPPORT/ ASP.

Unfortunately, the warranty does not cover failure of the bios and you will have to pay about US $ 50-60 (anyway, it costs like that in my service center)

  • ProBook 470 G3: ProBook 470 G3 fan system after flashing the BIOS errors

B has recently purchased a HP ProBook 470 G3 with i7 CPU. When I got the laptop I placed my own memory and M.2 SSD in and performed a clean installation of Windows 10 x 64. Everything was fine, I installed all the drivers and the laptop worked perfectly. However, when I flashed the new BIOS, V1.07 Rev A, I started to have problems.

I use the laptop for academic purposes, I so open and close several times a day. After flashing the BIOS again, the laptop awake sometimes not, and trying to turn off it I had to remove the battery. Would not even holding down the power button for 20 seconds. While booting after removing the battery, I'd get a system error, 90 b error code fan.

I tried re flashing version 1.07, but returned eventually to version 1.06. This version works very well. It was a real let up to me, given that this laptop costs €1400,- and should be a book reliable business.

Is their another experiecing the same problems? If so, how do fix you it? And no one knows when they will be a stable version of BIOS V1.07?

Use the PC Hardware diagnosis UEFI to restore the previous BIOS so that that you flashed cause questions.

Press the power button and then immediately begin to press the F2 key to evoke the Diagnostics menu.

Choose firmware management. In the menu next, choose and click on revert to the previous version.

You can also create and use the 3-in-1 usb to accomplish the same.

  • Flash Media Server/Flash Media Live Encoder

Hello I just installed the add-in on my FMS 3.5 server authentication (Windows 2008 Server - 32-bit).  I created a user and verify that the username/password is correct; However, whenever I try to connect to the server through Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2 I get not found user.  Again, I'll go back to the utility on the FMS and check and the username/password combination is valid.  I'd appreciate any help, I'm stuck.  Thank you.

Please re-read.  Yes, I restart. I understood what was my problem on yesterday.  I needed run the utility as 'administrator' command prompt so that the users.exe to run entirely.  It was a permissions problem. Thanks again!

  • Is there a way to pass a name of user and password for Flash Media Live Encoder?

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question or not, but I thought I remembered a way to pass a user name and password to FMS via Flash Media Live Encoder? I simply need to pass two values, equivalent to this in AS3:

    netConnection.connect(url, "username", "password");

My application requires authentication for publishers, for security reasons, and for some reason I can't find the option to do this in OUT. Am I missing something?

You pass cannot connect to arguments, but what you can do is to pass in as GET vars on the connection url and then make sure that the client.uri property in your onconnect handler on the server side.

  • After Effects to Media Encoder does not queuing video

Media Encoder isn't queue my video when I try to make the video using After Effects.

This is! You have the wrong version.

You get AE version 13.8 (AKA CC 2015.3), which is basically CC 2016.

Or use the older version of Adobe Media Encoder.

  • MovieMaker in Windows vista stops after appox 4% of the video encoding

It may be interesting to try to disable all filters in

First, you will need to decompress the file or just open the
    Drag > FFSetup295.exe< out="" of="" the="">
and drop it on your desktop. To install left click.

Next, after the download and installation of Format
