ProBook 470 G3: ProBook 470 G3 fan system after flashing the BIOS errors

B has recently purchased a HP ProBook 470 G3 with i7 CPU. When I got the laptop I placed my own memory and M.2 SSD in and performed a clean installation of Windows 10 x 64. Everything was fine, I installed all the drivers and the laptop worked perfectly. However, when I flashed the new BIOS, V1.07 Rev A, I started to have problems.

I use the laptop for academic purposes, I so open and close several times a day. After flashing the BIOS again, the laptop awake sometimes not, and trying to turn off it I had to remove the battery. Would not even holding down the power button for 20 seconds. While booting after removing the battery, I'd get a system error, 90 b error code fan.

I tried re flashing version 1.07, but returned eventually to version 1.06. This version works very well. It was a real let up to me, given that this laptop costs €1400,- and should be a book reliable business.

Is their another experiecing the same problems? If so, how do fix you it? And no one knows when they will be a stable version of BIOS V1.07?

Use the PC Hardware diagnosis UEFI to restore the previous BIOS so that that you flashed cause questions.

Press the power button and then immediately begin to press the F2 key to evoke the Diagnostics menu.

Choose firmware management. In the menu next, choose and click on revert to the previous version.

You can also create and use the 3-in-1 usb to accomplish the same.

  • Problems in the system after using the iolo system mechanic

    I downloaded iolo System Mechanic a couple of weeks and since the first time I ran it, I was not able to use my computer at all.

    When I start it, it is stuck on a black screen with an arrow in the he or she asks for bootable media or is stuck on a screen that says windows is opening files.

    I tried to use a windows disk to fix it, but have had no luck.

    Has anyone else had similar problems?
    The only reason for which I already thought of iolo system mechanic is because I received an email from Toshiba on this subject.

    Wish they didn't sent me that!

    Never had this problem but it is not very difficult to solve the problems in your system.

    You can simply set the system back to the point of time at the beginning before you start running the free health check.

  • Satellite Pro P100 GPU Fan off or full speed after updating the Bios to 4.20

    Hello

    After installing the "nine" update Bios 4.20 the GPU fan is when the laptop is cool. While working with him the GPU temperature increases up to 100 ° C (very hot), then the fan starts to run at medium speed and the GPU is cooled. After a restart, for example. the next day, the fan still works on the average speed or high (very noisy). With the bios version before this problem appeared.

    Someone at - it the same problem with his laptop?
    Someone there done the update of the Bios before 4.20 and can send it to me?

    Welcome them
    Rommulaner

    Hi guys

    May I ask which graphics drivers are you using?
    If you n t use the original graphic driver on the site of Toshiba and the laptop can starts overheating. Non - Toshiba GPU led don t support protection against overheating as the drivers of Toshiba! If the temperature of the GPU would rise to a higher level, then the pilot would diminish GPU performance to reduce the heat.
    Drivers graphic non-Toshiba don t control it and therefore the GPU could produce more heat.

    Another reason for this problem could be changed to value of table fan.
    I think that the cooling modules run faster and more often because the table fan has been changed in the BIOS. It may be necessary to prevent the overheating of the material.

  • No GPU fan after upgrading the BIOS to 4.2 on Satellite P100-434

    Hi, I upgraded my BIOS today to version 4.2 and since the GPU fan only works during the splash screen, and once Vista has loaded, it never runs again, in addition, the CPU fan turns at a constant speed, and the screen has "shifted" to the right, so I quarter of the right hand of the screen on the left.
    As you can imagine, it's a little annoying, and to say that the GPU temp is 65deg. with 90deg all about processors. not too good for the material.

    Is could someone PLEASE tell me how I can downgrade the BIOS?

    I have fans and fences etc. are all and free from dust.

    I do turn all the appropriate toshiba of specific drivers, and I even tried to reinstall the NVidia one card.

    Someone else here had the same problem, according to the P100 support newsletters found here http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_modSel.jsp you must update the nVidia Driver If you update BIOS v4.2

    Here is what says the newsletter:

    *
    Update the BIOS of the computer to the version 4.20 or newer:

    1. click on the following link to download the BIOS version 4.20 for Satellite P100. Save the file on the Windows desktop.

    You can also search for a newer version of this BIOS on Service and assistance from Toshiba site at support.tosiba.com.

    2. double-click on the file sp100v420.exe on the Windows desktop to start the driver installation.

    3. restart the computer.

    *
    Update the display of the computer to version 7.15.11.5666 or newer nVidia Driver:

    1. click on the following link to download the version of the nVidia 7.15.11.5666 display driver. Save the file on the Windows desktop.

    You can also search for a newer version of this driver on Service and assistance from Toshiba site at support.tosiba.com.

    2. double-click on the file driver_display_nvidia_os2007387a.exe on the Windows desktop to start the driver installation.

    3. restart the computer.

  • Satellite A-C50-K9K - after updating the BIOS, cooling fan is very loud

    Gas station proposed to update the BIOS. 1.00 to 1.30. After updating the cooling system is 90% of the time. Load the default settings BIOS do not change.

    No backup of the BIOS. Is it possible to download BIOS 1.00 or solve this problem?

    The downgrade of the BIOS is not possible because you n t have the first version of BIOS and even if you get the 1.0 version of BIOS, the BIOS update procedure is not possible because the newer version is already flashed.

    But I recommend you set the method in Windows to optimize power or better management the cooling battery life

    + Control Panel--> Power Options--> change the parameters of plan--> change power avancΘs--> TOSHIBA Power Saver Settings--> cooling method.

  • How do I access the system restore from the bios my 32-bit vista starts up?

    I have vista home basic 32 bit and recently uninstalled a program I have used barley I used uninstall programs. It then prompted me pourredemarrer my computer after doing so, I am nowunable to pass the 'lights', he goes to Jordi screen w / mouse enabled if she sits for a while, a screen saver in vista can be seen.
    He will not start in safe mode. chkdisk ran, and I thought for sure he was going to "start, but didn't."
    can anyone help? I have not my install discs because they were lost in a recent move, thanks joe

    Hello

    You can not access the system from the BIOS recovery.

    F8 boot Options is your hope, but you say that they do not work

    You need a Microsoft DVD to do a startup repair, or a restoration of the system, thanks to this Guide.

    Manufacturers recovery disks normally do not have Service Options; they are normally a relocation to the factory only settings option.

    Here is the guide to repair Options using a Vista DVD from Microsoft.

    If a friend or a work acquantance of yours has one, you can borrow and use it for repairs.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/repair-Windows-with-Windows-Startup-Repair/

    Table of contents

    1. Overview of Windows Vista repair options
    2. How to perform an automatic repair of Windows Vista using Startup Repair
    3. Advanced Tools Overview
    4. Conclusion

    If you do not or can not borrow a Microsoft DVD there is a download of a file ISO of Vista Startup Repair available that you can put on a Bootable floppy to make the above startup repair and that the method is recommended by a large number of posters in these Forums.

    Unfortunately, you have to buy it.

  • a610n - fan error of the system after replacing the motherboard

    Hi all

    I just replaced the motherboard on my system (phone http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware/M2N68-LA-Narra-2-Replacement/td-p/3711774) and now I get this error when starting: Fan failure system, PC service to avoid any damage. I thought it was the CPU fan but he was running and after some research, I realized that he could talk a case fan.

    As a side note, the motherboard, I had was a little different and missing 2 connections that seem to be the front mic/headphone and USB ports.

    Now, the case's fan then what really is the problem? Any ideas anyone?

    Thank you

    -Panos

    The rev3.02 of M2N68 - THE Committee a case fan rear 3 poles. See here.

    The CPU fan is a 4 pin cable and attaches to the appropriate header to 4 pins on the motherboard. See the representative schema above.

    As for you, another question, the front USB port attaches to a USB connector on the card.

  • HP Pavilion 17-e119wm: reinstall Windows 10 operating system after replacing the hard drive

    Hello, I bought a laptop HP Pavilion year last for work or school. He perfectly managed until yesterday when it was freezing to close unexpectedly. Waited about half an hour to see if it would work himself, I had several programs running at the same time. With no results, I did a hard shut down and left for about two hours. Trying to turn it back on, I was stuck on the HP Home screen for almost an hour. I turned off the and tried again. Sometimes I would be stuck on the startup screen, and sometimes he would show that he was about to auto repair, then the screen turns off. In addition, the recovery menu of the system through the F11 key did not work, so I did a Quick Test of system and received a short Drive DST hard failure.

    I plan to buy a replacement HGST 5 K 1000 1 TB hard Drive from the manufacturer; However, my warranty expired last month, and I'm not sure how to reinstall the OS (installed with Windows 8.1 then upgraded to Windows 10 factory), once the new hard drive in place.

    I've never done a HP system recovery Image, and I'm low on funds, so I'm not able to contact HP directly. Help, please. I am a student and I work from home, so I am at a loss without my system.

    If you want to reinstall Windows 10, then this is the part the more easy and free.  I understand, completed after the upgrade to Windows 10, then you can clean install Windows 10 site M$.

    On a work computer, go to the WINDOWS 10 DOWNLOAD, scroll down to the purple 'Download tool now 64 Bit' click that to let do its thing.  On the next screen, choose 'Create the installation media for another PC', then what kind of media you want to use DVD or USB flash.  Once created, install Windows 10 on the PC in question - when everything that fact it is activated.

  • possible to start the MXI-3/PXI system after booting the PC?

    Hello

    I'm new here, so I just asked this question in another thread with a response. I did not notice that it was already marked as solved, so I'll ask again in my own thread.

    My problem sounds very akin to that of Kobi, but there are a few differences that hold my hopes up that the problem could be solved. Summary of the configuration of the system:

    -PC (MXI-3)

    -> PXI1002 (Chassis1)

    -> PXI8335 (port1 - in)

    -> PXI8335 (port2 - out)

    -> PXI5122 (measure)

    -> PXI1002 (Chassis2)

    -> PXI8335 (port1 - in)

    -> PXI5122 (measure)

    The goal is, as it is easy to guess, to be able to start at any time, additional measuring devices even when the pc is already running.

    The situation is different from ' Kobis in a precise point: in my case the cards and all equipment is permanently visible in MAX, even if I started after the pc has started. This change is the boss of the leds, and PXI cards do not pass the test in MAX. The following screenshot shows the configuration of the system how it is observed after the two ways to start the full system (first first pc or PXI).

    (Even if I use a German version of labview English my MAX partially keep, I hope this isn't a problem.)

    I have tried to identify the PXI system and chassis, but failed to get a different result. The NIscope screws are ordered initialization and reset of all sessions, but only if I turn first PXI systems.

    So you think it would be possible to achieve the goal of implementation, or should I stick to the start-up of the pc after turning on the PXIs? I did some research and I know, the installation guides to specify the order to turn on the devices, but I thought that it was only intended for installation/first round.

    I would be really grateful for any advice in the present.

    Concerning

    Max1744

    Hi Max,.

    There is no way around first PXI. Always start the PXI a d, then the PC system.

  • Chinese becomes the language of the system after installing the Chinese MUI

    I have a Vista Ultimate en version. It has been upgraded to a Vista Home preinstalled. I downloaded and installed the Chinese MUI and choose the display language. I also installed Service Pack 2. Recently, I get a Windows 7 complete edition of Microsoft and try to upgrade my Vista Ultimate again. But this time, it fails because of the incompatibility of the language. I try to choose English as the display language and find that my system uses Chinese as a language system (default language of the user interface). I can't remove the Chinese. Worse still, I have to download English MUI to replace the Chinese.

    Do you know how to fix this so that I can upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate?

    Thank you. I ended up doing a clean install of Windows 7.

    I have a HP system which was preinstalled windows Xp professional at the time of my purchase. Now my use of that during my system motherboard got crashed, after that I have to change my motherboard now the problem is that I can my installation of previous version for windows xp again?

    Change the motherboard outside of warrny conditions invalidates the OEM license with which the machine shipped - you will need to purchase a new license for Windows.
