No warranty support

Hello, my company has sold nearly 100 Acer laptops in the last year. All worked fine except one. It will not charge a battery. We checked this by reversing the batteries of identical devices.

The real problem is that we cannot get this replaced unit. It was bought Newegg business and during the call using the number and entering in the SNID [under the direction of privacy] the automated system is longer warranty and sends us to the 3rd party.

So therefore, we communicate with Newegg which said that acer has checked the warranty and we remember. This has happened for more than 7 months! In less than 5 months, which means the real warranty will expire if it has never been used.

Help, please!

Thank you!

Thank you, we tried several times. The rep from Newegg just found that by using the support chat and by entering the complete serial number it finally worked. The helpline or cat would accept the SNID. So this was the root of the problem.

  • Need for clarification in regards if you upgrade memory and HDD invalidates the warranty/support Dell

    Hello!

I bought a Dell Inspiron 15 at the end of January. I told the sales guy cat exactly what I needed for and what my budget was. Well, based on his advice, I ended up raising my budget so I could have the best possible computer for my use.

Now, normally, I don't buy a computer on mine, but the person I usually consult wasn't available, so I thought, Hey, the Dell guy cat must know what he's talking about.

The computer he sold me a * disk drive (5200 rpm, I think). I told him that I wanted it for the recording software. After I bought it (buyer's remorse), several people told me that he should have sold me an SSD.

Okay - Here's my thing: I can go buy a SSD and install it. But cancel my expensive service plan and a guarantee that I have? In addition, tech support plan? And regardless if it's a Dell hardrive and I can someone have set up here, or that I have to send the laptop back and have Dell to install one of their SSD to preserve the warranty and service plan?

    Thank you.

With Dell, you are allowed to replace serviceable by the user on your computer without to as voiding the warranty.  Examples being the hard drives, memory, graphics cards, etc.  If ever you have a problem and need to send the unit for repair, you will need to replace your Dell parts provided those and Dell will only be guaranteed components provided by them.

Also, you are more then welcome to install yourself, however if damage you something during the installation it will invalidate your guarantee that you caused the damage.

Yes TLDR you can install anything you want.

    Hi all

I bought the Satellite Pro U400. He entered the box as well as the document called 'Warranty free Extension if you register your standard warranty NOW!'.
So I tried to do but got stuck on a number of warranty.
I don't know what is meant by there. Could someone help?

Well, so I thought I'd simply write an email to Toshiba in Czech Republic, where the laptop was purchased, but they are not still have contact info on the web!

  • Ask about the warranty

I decided to buy a Moto X 2013 Developer Edition (thanks to the unavailability of 32 GB 2nd generation here at home). I see that the phone is available in Amazon mentioning the term "" we guarantee ".

Can anyone tell if the warranty will be really valid if from 3rd party site?

    Oh - guaranteed!

The warranty is valid in the country where the phone was for sale. So if you buy a Europe-US version, you won't get warranty support. You must buy a version for sale in Europe.

So, you could get it repaired, but only if you come to the United States to do so. We will not ship a phone repaired outside the United States.

Hope this is clear, even though I know it's probably not what you wanted to hear.

  • HP 15 Notebook: warranty battery replacement

How can I get a replacement of the battery under warranty? It is still under warranty, but how to do a deed? And the free replacement when it is under warranty?

The warranty on a battery is one year like the rest of the laptop. Just call HP warranty support in your country and make a claim if it is still under warranty.

  • How to send for repair if out of warranty?

I bought a H5630 projector in 2010. Many pixels have start blocking in the last 2 weeks (maybe a hundred). Its caused by stuck mirror, something to do with being deffective DMD chips.

Fleas DMD guarantee is suppose to be ok, the projector itself is not. How can I set a repair (im willing to pay for it) and get details about it if the warranty is voided. Web site always speak of 'use out of warranty support' when support will always lead to a wall saying ' guarantee is zero we can do anything "." This isn't what I call simple tech support...

But anyway, I just want to ask acer for a price to fix (and bulb changed at the same time if possible).

    Thanks for your help.

OK basically I looked again, went through the website and finally received an email, got on the phone here and here is the solution:

    -Appeal to their technical support

-To change a DMD thing or anything like that, they charge a fee of like $ 208 to change it... in itself this isn't really a good price, but the trick is if you change the DMD and the bulb of the lamp (must be dead) then its... $ 208, not to say im just going to wait for the die of the lamp as its good enough for the total.

Guy on the phone was helpful, thought I'd share the solution I finally get their hands on it.

    Hi all!

I have an important question for the BlackBerry support team (is not directly related to a product specific to BB, but related to the support of BB products in general), but it was impossible to contact anyone, somehow, in support of BlackBerry.

Can someone help me on this mission?

    Thank you

    Ricardo

RIM does not guarantee other support devices by wireless companies.  So, if you buy from someone and they don't give you a guarantee then you will get probably no guarantee through RIM.   That's the pitfall of equipment from unauthorized dealers.  I am a TMobile customer we.  However, I can't directly call the RIM and get warranty support.  If I want to RIM support I have to pay $50 for the case.  But, if I called TMobile and they can't solve my problem they can escalate my case to RIM without cost to me.

This is how their system works.

  • Question of warranty U2713HM

I bought this monitor on Amazon on 14 February and he scored only today with Dell for warranty support. My problem is that it was clarified that there is a hardware limited warranty 3 years and 3 years advanced Exchange service, but when I registered my serial number it says I have a 'next Business Day parts delivery guaranteed' with an end date of August 2014, only about a year and a half away.

I'm confused as to what it means and whether or not it is an error. I'm still in my back window on Amazon if it turns out that it is the duration of the warranty.

    Hi GeoffLP,

Dell monitors purchased as a stand-alone component is the warranty of 3 years from the date of purchase. So, I suggest you to ensure the safety of the purchase invoice. The status of the guarantee will not be shown correctly on the Dell Web site as it was purchased by a retailer. But Dell will provide material support based on the invoice (for 3 years).

  • Can I pay Apple to replace OEM screen?

    Hello

I have an iPhone 6.  The screen cracked after that I dropped it.  I had replaced him with a local OEM with a cheapo screen (which frankly was stupid as you would expect).

This new OEM screen is now broken (children huh?).  Phone was otherwise perfectly functional.

Can I take the iPhone to the Apple store and pay just to stick a new Apple screen to this topic?  Prices in the United Kingdom are £86,44 according to iPhone screen damage - official Apple Support.

Are they care that I got a replacement of the OEM screen, or will they just take my money and put a screen of 'good' about it?

    Thank you.

    D

You will have to ask Apple about it. It is a user support forum.  However, I would add that in the past, Apple refuses to service on any unit which has been altered or offered by any unauthorized service provider.  Work on the device have someone but Apple or their authorized service providers generally cancels any additional warranty or out of warranty support.

  • HP 450-011: delete the recovery partition after upgrade to win 10?

I have a new HP 450-011 and it came with Win 8.1 and the recovery with the letter D: drive partition.  I did the upgrade to windows 10.  I made a set of recovery DVD for win installation 8.1.  Is there a reason for me not to delete the D: drive and replace it with my information?  I seriously doubt I'll want to roll back to 8.1 Win.

    Greetings,

Have you tested the Win 8.1 HP Recovery disks before installing Win 10?

A question is: If you need technical assistance from HP tech for a possible hardware problem. HP normally requires that the factory installed operating system to take in charge. This policy of HP may have changed during the upgrade to win 10. I do not suspect.

You can export the recovery, Partition because it will not work now in any case.

But you need a way to go back to win 8.1 when you need HP warranty support.

Since you have already upgraded to Win 10, the only way to check the recovery of 8.1 Win disks is to use them and start all over again. Or the support of disks/USB recovery HP Win 8.1 on a new equivalent or larger HDD or SSD. A good installation means that you have now the factory install on this disk.

    It's a lot of work.

The problem of guaranteed support is your problem.

I have eliminated this problem by installing Win 10 on a new SSD. I have HP Win 8.1 on a separate SSD and win 10 on a different SSD. Possible guarantee problem solution means earn 8.1 running on HP SSD factory to check the problem of winning 10 SSD.
