No Weblogic Server 12 feature matrix exists?
Hi all
I'll try to find the matrix feature Weblogic Server Standard Edition 12 c to see what features are included in this product, and found matrix of functionality for 11g but not for 12 c.
Does anyone know where to find the matrix of functionality for 12 c?

Oracle BPM installation on existing weblogic server
Hello friends,
I have the server Weblogic (1035_generic), SOA_generic (11.1.1.5), jdeveloper 11.1.1.5 installed and configured on my system. Initially, I did these facilities to work on the BPEL, ADF, OSB, etc.. But is it possible to install and set up the environment of BPM on the same server? If possible can someone please provide me with the directions to set up the same.

Shravan.Take a look at page 34 of the Quick Start Guide for Oracle® SOA Suite 11 g 1 material (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/soasuite/overview/quickstartguidesoasuite11gr1ps4-459545.pdf). You create or expand a field, you are given the option to include the BPM.
To extend JDeveloper to include BPM look at page 49 of the same document.
Guess you could already know, but do not use the same Middleware for JDeveloper directory that you used during the installation of WebLogic Server.

I'm set up a compact fieldfor Oracle Business Process Management Suite Quick Start.
The next step is to start the server administrator but it fails with the following exception:

Then I found the post managed Weblogic server may not be able to start because < BEA-000386 > < server subsystem is not and we have tried all the options:
1 change the boot.properties file to... /Security/boot.properties
-username = weblogic
-password = BIENVENUE1
2. rename the boot.properties file, run the server as a process in the foreground, when it asks for a user name and password entered weblogic /eu1

I've corrected the username and password when configuring domain = weblogic/eu1. But maybe I'm wrong, then how can they can again verified?

It seems that there is a problem with the combination of weblogic/eu1, i.e. perhaps you misspelled the username or the password.
Please, check this blog to restore the name of the weblogic server admin user/pass - ORACLE-BASE - reset the AdminServer password in WebLogic 11 g and 12 c

You can try and increase the settings memory used by WebLogic.
Change the C:\Users\pk\AppData\Roaming\JDeveloper\system12.1.3.0.41.140521.1008\DefaultDomain\bin\setDomainEnv
and set the Xms - & - Xmx be double what they are now.

To find distributionName and distributionVersion, divide the SELECTED_DISTRIBUTION property in responsefile by ~.

I think it might be a good idea to uninstall process (with responsefile parameter) might distribute the property SELECTED_DISTRIBUTION, because if we specify it in the command line, why use a reponseFile?

I found the problem. I have an other appserver running on port 7101. And integrated weblogic server was trying to use the same port. I changed the port number. It's OK NOW.

But it does not list the server while deploying the application.
I don't see the problem to my office network. But I have this problem when I work from my home.
Ideally, it should show the following lines after the server is started:
DefaultServer startup time: 195467 ms.
DefaultServer began.
This is not the case if I start the server without network.
How can I solve this problem?

I see some message on a proxy. Have you checked that you can use the proxy on your network?
If this isn't the case, you must disable the proxy.

Error with PivotTable in 10.3.6 weblogic server

I created an ADF application and that I have a pivot table I developed using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.3 it worked very well when we deployed the Weblogic Server 10.3.3 application.
Now, s/n of updated the Weblogic Server to 10.3.6 so I downloaded 11.1.1.6 Jdeveloper and generated the EAR file and deployed in the 10.3.6 new server. The PivotTable does not work I get the following error message

The code remains the same, that nothing has changed since 10.3.3 to 10.3.6 and I even tried to deploy the ear file generated by jdeveloper 11.1.1.3 even that did not work.
This soemthing is related to the problem of the libraries?

Herald, yes the runtime adf of mass to be installed separately after the installation of wls. Not sure about the impact of the discoverer installation 11.1.1.7.
Maybe you need to use Jdev 11.1.1.7.0 in this case. However, as this version works on wls 10.3.6 that shouldn't be a problem.
Like I dunno discoverer you should check the certification matrix got the two products to ensure that they work together on a single server.

Migration to Oracle Weblogic Server 12 c
I've been running a few web applications on Oracle Application Server 10g for a few years now.
Just got a new server with Redhat Enterprise Linux 6 to replace the old equipment. Installed Weblogic 12 c, which seemed to be the logical choice.
All I need is a simple application server J2EE with no bells and whistles, a single server and a few applications. The entire concept of servers, clusters, nodes, machines, etc. of deployments is a bit intimidating for me and possibly an overdose to the minimum infrastructure that I owe to my light apps. You will appreciate if someone shed some light in the following.
-Is Oracle Weblogic server 12 c the right product for my needs, given my small user base applications and light (JSP and Servlets)?
-What is a minimal installation? Do I really need all these - servers, clusters, nodes, machines.
-Do I need to use a NodeManager? Which is an optional component?

Another point to consider is a license cost. WebLogic comes at a price. Thus, there are free solutions like Oracle Glassfish - by which is a solid java web - app server. However, I find the GlassFish somewhat complicated compared to WebLogic administration console (but that's because I'm used to WebLogic).
Which way you choose, I would like to you have not all dependencies on applications based on the products of Fusion Middleware such as ADF (frame based on Java). As the respective frame only is not supported or designed to operate on 12 c (yet).
For your WLS options, it may look intimidating, but is not bad:
-You will need an AdminServer with 1 server to a minimum.-For machines, its all just the physical location of your WebLogic Server. It allows the node Manager to work properly. To configure, has awarded some Admin/Managed servers to whatever the machine, the servers are running on.
-Clustering is optional. However, if your applications can run in an environment cluster, then highlight cluster is a great feature to activate for high availability configurations. In your case, it might be a little too much.
-Node Manager is optional, but necessary in my opinion. It allows you to run the WebLogic administration Console controls in your WebLogic servers - such as marketing power. You can also configure Node Manager to manage the Crash Recovery - which is a very nice feature. For example, if your weblogic server goes down or is killed for some reason, Node Manager will bring the server up. Its really easy to install.

Oracle WebLogic Server Tools for Eclipse Kepler
We use the following in Eclipse Kepler M6 Oracle plugin (20130320-2352) with Oracle WebLogic 10.3.5 on Windows 7 32-bit:

Real: a totally blank tab is opened in the editor of Eclipse.
It does seem to be a way to combine images, but can send a screenshot if that helps.EPCO 12.1.1.2.2 is now out, with the support of Kepler RC3.

There are some mixture upwards with your installation of jdev and some other installation (may be an older jdev). I installed jdev on mashines much and never had this problem (regardless of version). In your case, it seems that you had a previous version installed and installed 11.1.2.3.0 in the former home of middleware project. Your classpath contains a reference to an old jdk (1.6.0_24) that doesn't exist on your current installation (it uses 1.6.0_35).
Yet once, I've never had to add the welblogic.jar to the viewcontroller project. This is done automatically if you choose to start a new "Fusion Web Application".My advice is to uninstall all versions of jdev you have on your system, then delete all the folders of middleware which are always present, check your home folder of the user (if you use windows) for any substance remaining jdev and delete then too. Then, install the jdev studio 11.1.2.3.0 version again.
