  My Qosmio F10 has always had a very noisy fan. The fan noise starts always 15 minutes after turning the PC on and stays of less regardless of what I do on the PC - even if this happens be nothing else!

  I tried to change the battary cooling method optimized in the toshiba saving settings in an attempt to stop the fan coming on but any change of setting seems to have no effect on the fan. Anyone have any ideas on how to make this laptop less noisy?

  It's all a bit frustrating saw I bought it to listen to music - and all you hear is the fan when the music calms down!

  Believe me that it is not unusual that the F10 is a laptop with a high GPU and CPU. These regions produce a lot of heat and it must be cooled!

  Please don t compare mobile portable fans with the Qosmio. The Qosmio laptop properties resemble a PC and in my view a desktop PC is much stronger than the F10

  All speakers usually begin to vibrate (for the buzz) if the bass is high.
  I think it s not a malfunction. You should check that the sound properties and you shouldn't t turn on maximum bass controller.

• Qosmio F20 won't start - power light flashes orange

  My Qosmio F20-149 crashed yesterday and I was not able to get it working again. When I try to turn it on, the power light flashes on and outside (on: 1 sec, off: 1 sec) and the cooler fan operates at full power. When I press a key, there is a genre or a sound error. otherwise no reaction of the laptop; even the CD player does not open.

  Since a few days, I have a Qosmio F20. Beautiful machine. The speakers are so strong that I can't hear it if they are set to the maximum. I really don't understand how you can listen to music if sound is set to max.

  Try using Toshiba virtual sound utility and adjust the sound using the detail settings. I am very satisfied and quality of the music is great.

  Is perhaps vaguely Grill?

  I can t hear your NB305, but I guess that it s everything is ok if the fan kicks from time to time. The same one I have on my Satellite and Qosmio F50. It s based on the use of the processor and from time to time the heatpipe cooling must be cooled and so the fan starts.

  As Akuma writes you can play with a little power settings. So, you can change the activity of the fan.

  Hardware upgrade on laptops is not comparable with the workstations where you can upgrade almost everything. Mainly on laptops, you can improve RAM, WLAN, HARD drive or maybe BT but all that s.

  Update graphics card is definitely not possible because the graphics card is part of the motherboard. Update CPU's might be possible, but certainly not recommendable. The construction of any material is designed by technicians and configured to provide optimal use. If optimal use, you understand very good performance but without the possibility to destroy the material. The common problem on mobile computing is heat and how to cool the hardware components.

  The best graphics card and CPU using the material temperature is much higher and the result can be permanent running fan or just property damage. If you think about all this stuff, I hope you understand that this type of upgrade can be very risky.

  If you need to better and more powerful portable computer the best option is to sell your old and buy newer with the best hardware configuration.

  I have my Toshiba Portege Z-30 b for the last 7 months. He received with Windows 8 pro. installed, all played very well. I have upgraded to Windows 10 about 5 months ago, after the upgrade, the fan ran constantly at a high unacceptable noise. Toshiba service replaced the fan - no result.
