  • Should I purchase Measurement Studio and NI-IMAQ separately or NOR-Imaq included in measurement studio?

    Hi Vjuno,

Thank you for your interest in Measurement Studio and NOR-IMAQ. Measurement Studio and NOR-Vision are separate software packages. If you are considering comes to acquire, save and display images from a camera IEEE our NI Vision Acquisition software located on our website (http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/12892). If you want to set up a system of image analysis then you can buy the Module OR Vision Development, this includes NI Vision Acquisition (http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/2881).

Thank you for your interest in our products!

  • ImgBayerColorDecode of NOR-IMAQ to produce 64-bit RGB images?

According to reference Help feature, imgBayerColorDecode can be called with a void * pointer source and destination, so in principle it should be able to handle Bayer encoded images to 16 bits per pixel, right?

However, when I look at this old net, it seems that it is not possible, because only 32-bit RGB can be taken out. When I look at the "Bayer Color Decode.vi IMAQ" on our system, the dll call is one of:

    "int32_t imgBayerColorDecode (int32_t dst, int32_t CBC, lines uint32_t, CLO uint32_t, int32_t dstRowPixels, int32_t srcRowPixels, const uint32_t * redGain, const uint32_t * greenGain, const uint32_t * blueGain, uint8_t bayerPattern, int32_t bitDepth, uint32_t reserved);

But settings can be changed apparently. So my guess is that imgBayerColorDecode can now convert 16 bit Bayer coded images in RGB (A) 48-bit or 64-bit images (+ alpha), but I can't find any mention of this in the page "What's new with NOR-IMAQ".

Can someone from OR Please confirm that it is possible today or is the old NET still valid?

    Hi Oliver,.

During the period of SP1 2012, new Bayer decoding support added to the Vision. Bayer functions exported from the DLL IMAQ are discouraged because they don't have any of the new features. The functions are now in the Vision, but I think they do not need a license of the Vision Development Module (they are part of the basic API).

The new functions of Bayer are significantly faster, have many algorithms of quality varying and support the conversion of > 8 bit to RGB64.

imaqBayerToRGB() is what you should look into nivision.h.

  • How to download imaq vision

I am a new user of labview and I wish to study this subject IMAQ vision. However, for the same thing, I have no idea as to how I can use it on LabView. Smoker I don't understand if I have to download additional software for IMAQ Vision work with LabView. Kindly advice me.

    Jean-Luc

NOR-Vision and NOR-IMAQ are two different things. NOR-IMAQ is a set of drivers and software to acquire, view and save images of some devices. The supported devices are in the readme file. This software is free. NEITHER Vision is a software level. He did work with a wider variety of devices. It is not free.

  • several webcams in for usb or imaq vision Builder

    Hello

I have a question about imaq nor for usb or vision builder AI 3.6 (I did a vi with imaq and I run in the constructor of the vision) and I want to know how can I connect multiple webcams to the computer, and how many of them can be connected. can they all be of a make and model and can they be executed with a driver installed on the computer?

    Thank you

    Hello

In general NOR-IMAQ for USB can support only one camera at a time. You can acquire multiple cameras (not simultaneously) using USB IMAQ list VI cameras to identify each device plugged into your system and access it via the other IMAQ live to USB.

I would also like to point out that Vision Builder AI does not support the NO-IMAQ for cameras USB driver. It is designed to solve machine vision applications, but USB cameras provide in general or advanced necessary for machine vision triggering modes.  Because the machine vision and USB cameras will usually together, we do support USB cameras in Vision Builder AI.

  • IMAQ Vision: (Hex 0xBFF60403) copy unauthorized IMAQ Vision.

    Hi all

I have a Labview program developed a few years ago by one of my students who use some images from a camera to do some analysis.

It's the environment that was used:

Windows Xp professional version 2002 Service Pack 2

    LabVIEW 7.1
    LabVIEW Run-time Engine 6.1 - 7, 0 - 7.1.1
    NOR-Imaq 3.1.0
    IMAQ vision 7.1.1
    NI-Visa 3.1
    NOR-488. 2 2.40

    NOR-IMAQ 3.1

    Application Builder 7.1

Now, the PC crashed and I tried to restore all the software and VI.

I got these (3) types of errors when I lounched the VI:

1074396157 error occurred at WindShow IMAQ
    Unauthorized copy of IMAQ Vision.

1074396157 error occurred at WindSize IMAQ
    Unauthorized copy of IMAQ Vision.

1074396157 error occurred at WindMove IMAQ
    Unauthorized copy of IMAQ Vision.

    Possible reasons:

IMAQ Vision: (Hex 0xBFF60403) copy unauthorized IMAQ Vision.

I read that it is possible to overcome these types of errors lounched visionXXrte.exe, but I don't have on my PC.

    What can I do?

    Thank you for your help

    Hi all

    the problem has been resolved.

It has been necessary run the NILM License Manager and activate the product of the Vision, which has been exceeded (I don't know why).

So, thanks to all the world.

  • With the help of NOR-IMAQ imgSnap (ANSI C) with Windows 7 x 64

    Hello

I am trying to make a few acquisition base image using ANSI C to NOR-IMAQ calls (as distributed by the release of November 2009 Vision of OR). I develop on Windows 7 x 64.

The Installer seems to work very well, but when I do the following call:

    void * theTempBuffer = NULL;

    Int32 theRetVal = imgSnap (mSession, & theTempBuffer);

    I get the following error:

This 32-bit device works on a 64-bit with more than 3 GB of memory OS physics. This configuration could allocate memory 64-bit that is not supported by the device. To resolve this issue, reduce the amount of physical memory in the system.

I see that I compile to a target 32-bit or 64-bit. I would have concluded that the PCI-1422, quite simply, is not supported under Windows 7 x 64, but the card (and attached camera) work very well for smacking or grabbing of images when I go to the Measurement & Automation Explorer.

    Thanks for your help.

Eric, that did the trick. Thank you very much!

  • Error 1074395720 has occurred to IMAQ find circular Edge 3 IMAQ Vision: invalid KING.

    Hello

I am writing a program to adapt to a circle of an image (from the avi), but when running the IMAQ find circular edge v3.vi I get the error message:

"Error 1074395720 occurred at IMAQ find circular Edge 3.

    Possible reasons

    IMAQ Vision: Invalid KING. "

I use the vi KING of construct IMAQ to set the return on investment and I am sure that the KING output is in a format suitable for the discovery of the IMAQ circular edge v3 vi.

I joined my program (Labview 2011)

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you very much

    Rory

    Hi Rory,

Welcome to the Forums of NOR.

«IMAQ find circular Edge 3' expects a return on investment for type 'Ring'.» There are a number of functions in labVIEW for the conversion of the type of return on investment as "IMAQ convert the KING to ring. However, as the circular edge VI find JUST does not ring but bounding box and other details as well, there is a strange solution to this problem.

Drop-down "IMAQ convert KING ring" and get the return on investment through. Drop-down and then "Convert ring to the KING" (Yes, really) and pass the output of who to "find the circular edge.

It is circular, strange workaround, but it seems to force the type of return on investment to go to the ring and so works.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you very much

  • IMAQ vision function reference

    Hi all

I'm new to Lab Windows/CVI and uses the library imaq vision.

Could someone tell me where I can find the reference of function IMAQ Vision? I found a function reference manual at first--> National Instruments--> Vision--> Documentation. But all the functions described in this document are starting by img * (). I was looking for functions starting with imaq * ().

I'm sorry that it might be a stupid question, but any help would be appreciated.

  • nor-imaq help

I'm looking the help of labview (v8.5 on Win Vista) for information about the functions that are part of OR-IMAQ of image processing.  I don't understand something useful in help OR when I search the index or search for a keyword (for example, feret, feret length).  Is there something I need to do to install the help files for NOR-IMAQ?  NOR-IMAQ help is separate from the help of labview 'main '?

    Thank you.

    WCR,

I understand that this isn't the best way, and for that I apologize. My best suggestion would be to use the search for LabVIEW (of screws, no help) then go directly to aid advanced from there. However, you should always know the names of VI, that could be a problem. You can always use NI.com research to see if it can be done with some screws, and then get more info VI from there.

Again, I am sorry that it is not a very simple way to search all at once, the reason that's not everything in one help it is due to install different files with different toolkits of chm / Add-ons, SO someone with no Add-ons and only basic LabVIEW would not much wrong information.

  • IMAQ Vision Image structure

I currently grabbing an image, using my own equipment and windows messaging and do it in memory as a bitmap image.  How to copy this image in a structure Image IMAQ Vision.  I see other threads that the structure is the owner, but is it possible to copy the raw data in the structure of the Image.  The only way I can achieve this is to write in a BMP file, and then use the () imaqReadFile to read back in. It takes a lot of time, it would be much faster if I could copy from one location to another.

You can use imaqArrayToImage(), but I've always found this difficult to use function.

my favorite way is to create a new image of the right size using imaqCreateImage(), then get a pointer to the first pixel using imaqGetImageInfo() and fill pixels directly by copying the data in the buffer of the image. I already showed how to access pixels directly on this forum. You should pay attention to the size of your pixels and the format of the image (RGB, grey levels).

  • NOR-IMAQ library for the 64 bit version does exist?

    I use PCIe-1429 and NOR-IMAQ 4.1 and programming on VS2005.

NOR-IMAQ library for the 64 bit version does exist?

    Wooddoll,

    In general, 64-bit import libraries are installed in C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\Shared\ExternalCompilerSupport\C\Lib64\MSVC\imaq.lib for 64-bit variants.

The 64 bits real DLL is usually installed in C:\windows\system32\imaq.dll.

  • Lost file "IMAQ Vision example Folder.vi"

    Hello world

I was working with this file and I lost it. Now, I could not find or fix also I re - install all the modules of the vision, and many examples use this file to take the path of the image to work. Someone can help me trying to find the path and bring me the IMAQ Vision example Folder.vi

    Thank you for your cooperation,

    John

Hi, thanks for your response, I did it and I don't know why, but did not work. I solve the problem using the IMAQ Vision AVI Folder.vi and change the block diagram and removal of some parts and then rename it as the vi that I lost. In this way, I solved the problem.

  • bug in several functions of IMAQ vision mask

Some functions IMAQ Vision bad work if you use the image source as the mask. I keep running into this bug in IMAQ Vision, Vision functions exhibit this behavior, and others do not. It is not documented in job descriptions. Even if it were, it would still be a bug. Example:

    1. create an image source U8 containing zeros and nonzero values.

    2. son of the image in the entry source and IMAQ mask entry quantify and return the value of % of the global report to see what percentage of pixels are different from zero.

The answer is wrong. If you copy the image in a separate image first and distinct picture of wire in the input mask, you get the right answer. See attached VI for building

    See you soon,.

    -root

If someone knows a way to return the number of pixels not dummies in an image without duplicating the image in memory, please post the method here so I can mark it as a solution. I find that using IMAQ getpixelvalue in a double loop is extremely slow, even with a shift as a counter register.

Using the histogram IMAQ VI seems to work (with no mask image)-the first index of the returned histogram array is the number of zero pixel, so the sum of the table no less (or less area this) is the number of pixels non-null.  The VI has the same bug with the image of the mask (and I agree with you that document a bug does not correct!) but at least you can use for this problem.
