  I am trying to make a few acquisition base image using ANSI C to NOR-IMAQ calls (as distributed by the release of November 2009 Vision of OR). I develop on Windows 7 x 64.

  The Installer seems to work very well, but when I do the following call:

  void * theTempBuffer = NULL;

  Int32 theRetVal = imgSnap (mSession, & theTempBuffer);

  I get the following error:

  This 32-bit device works on a 64-bit with more than 3 GB of memory OS physics. This configuration could allocate memory 64-bit that is not supported by the device. To resolve this issue, reduce the amount of physical memory in the system.

  I see that I compile to a target 32-bit or 64-bit. I would have concluded that the PCI-1422, quite simply, is not supported under Windows 7 x 64, but the card (and attached camera) work very well for smacking or grabbing of images when I go to the Measurement & Automation Explorer.

• ImgBayerColorDecode of NOR-IMAQ to produce 64-bit RGB images?

  According to reference Help feature, imgBayerColorDecode can be called with a void * pointer source and destination, so in principle it should be able to handle Bayer encoded images to 16 bits per pixel, right?

  However, when I look at this old net, it seems that it is not possible, because only 32-bit RGB can be taken out. When I look at the "Bayer Color Decode.vi IMAQ" on our system, the dll call is one of:

  "int32_t imgBayerColorDecode (int32_t dst, int32_t CBC, lines uint32_t, CLO uint32_t, int32_t dstRowPixels, int32_t srcRowPixels, const uint32_t * redGain, const uint32_t * greenGain, const uint32_t * blueGain, uint8_t bayerPattern, int32_t bitDepth, uint32_t reserved);

  But settings can be changed apparently. So my guess is that imgBayerColorDecode can now convert 16 bit Bayer coded images in RGB (A) 48-bit or 64-bit images (+ alpha), but I can't find any mention of this in the page "What's new with NOR-IMAQ".

  Can someone from OR Please confirm that it is possible today or is the old NET still valid?

  During the period of SP1 2012, new Bayer decoding support added to the Vision. Bayer functions exported from the DLL IMAQ are discouraged because they don't have any of the new features. The functions are now in the Vision, but I think they do not need a license of the Vision Development Module (they are part of the basic API).

  The new functions of Bayer are significantly faster, have many algorithms of quality varying and support the conversion of > 8 bit to RGB64.

  imaqBayerToRGB() is what you should look into nivision.h.

  I try to use a USB (thorlabs DCC1240c) camera with the "Grab and save in AVI.vi ' example.

  When I run the file that I had ' NOR-IMAQ: the session or the interface passed is not valid.

  I checked NEITHER MAX and the name of the interface of the camera is cam0 and that's what I entered in the 'Name of the Interface' box in the front panel.

  In general, 64-bit import libraries are installed in C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\Shared\ExternalCompilerSupport\C\Lib64\MSVC\imaq.lib for 64-bit variants.

  The 64 bits real DLL is usually installed in C:\windows\system32\imaq.dll.

• NOR-IMAQ: The transmitted session or the interface is not valid, why?

  Hello:

  I am facing an error that I can't explain. I configured a NI 1742 smart camera, to do some tests. The camera is configured in Max Max I can make some shots of the image and image captures without problem, I can do the same thing in the Vision Assistant. However, in LabVIEW I can't even start a session IMAQ.

  

  When I try to log in with the Vi Init IMAQ, I always get an error that says "NI-IMAQ: the transmitted session or the interface is not valid. I don't understand why this is happening. I did some research and found that this error indicates when the specified interface does not exist or the unit is unplugged. But I checked and rechecked, and as you can see in the previous image, the interface exists, and of course the smart camera is connected and working. No error status displays the status doesn't lead. I tried with the VI generated with the Vision Assistant, but had no luck, in LabVIEW always manifest error.

  

  

  I have LabVIEW 8.6, Vision Assistant 8.6, OR-IMAQ 4.3, MAX 4.6.1

  No idea why this error?, I tried, but I can't understand why!

  I really appreciate help. I'm a bit desperate.

  Just to make sure, you run LabVIEW RT? and if you are, you are your VI running on my computer or have you create a project and added to your target of the smart camera and the VI under this goal?

  If you use your VI on your local computer, the error message makes sense because there is no img0 interface in your computer.

• The value FPS using NOR-IMAQ with a GigE camera programmatically?

  I'm (slowly) learning how LabVIEW plays well with the cameras, GigE, that I just bought.

  At this point, I'm trying to understand how to programmatically set the value of fps for the camera.  I have been using the examples NOR-IMAQdx to control the cameras so far, but I am open to trying anything.  Someone at - it a good example of how I can change the frame rate "on the fly?

  My next task will be to find a way to change the size of the image on the screen programmatically, so if anyone has any ideas for me on this path there, I'd be pleased them too well.

  I thought about it:

  1. use the vi IMAQdx open camera to open the camera

  2 use the "List attributes" in the palette of NOR-IMAQdx to see all available attributes

  3 using the step 2, above, I could find the attribute, the attribute "AcquisitionFrameRateAbs".

  4. create a node in the output of the open unit VI property, choose 'Attributes of the camera,' select "Attribute Active."

  5. set the property node "change all to write."

  6. connect a constant string of 'AcquisitionFrameRateAbs' attributeinto the property node value

  7. create another node in property 'Attributes of the camera', this time by selecting 'Value' and affecting the type DBL

  8. change all to write

  9 create a digital control for cadence

  10. connect the digital control to the property node 'ValueDBL '.

  Presto!  You are finished.

  It seems that you use close IMAQ but have IMAQdx screw everything else. NOR-IMAQdx and NOR-IMAQ separated driver API, it should be consistent with what set of screw you are using. Since you use IMAQdx, you just use the palette IMAQdx closing.

• IMAQ 4.1 installer

  I have an application that consists of an executable file that dynamically loads the plug screws in sub-panels during operation.  The plug screws vary from a system.  A some less frequently used on the plug screws requires a driver IMAQ 4.1.

  I might add IMAQ 4.1 installer for the executable, but since it is not necessary for most systems, that seems unnecessary.  I could also use the installer of Acquisition of Vision, but I don't want my customers to have to deal with activation when they will use only a small piece of it anyway.  Is there a Setup program or who would install ONLY the driver IMAQ 4.1 (and all the other required components)?  Or someone can think of a better way to handle this?

  Hey Jason,

  You use application builder to create an installer for your application? If you are, you should be able to include fair NOR-IMAQ, tab other installers just as you would include DAQmx and LabVIEW Run-time engine. That would be your best best. Otherwise, if you create your own setup program, you can check the read - me for NOR-IMAQ know what files are included with the driver and where they should be installed on the machines in deployment.

  What kind of bus of camera do you use? (Camera Link, GigE, FireWire, etc.).  When you buy a MAX image seems to have the grid of bayer?  Have you tried to adjust the color of bayer camera in MAX?

  There are two examples delivered with Acquisition of Vision software that indicate how to Bayer for the other NOR-IMAQ for NOR-IMAQdx decodes.  If you open finder LabVIEW example by going to help > examples find you can search enter with Bayer Decoding.vi or Grab and Bayer Decoding.vi.

  Hi all

  I use PCI 1411 to exract the analog data in images. The number of images that I am interested to gain amounts to about 1200 MB (about 3500 buffers).

  I was using before OR-Imaq, used to extract me the pictures with a few hiccups. I used NI Vision Builder to extract these images. This would save images with a dialog box "Image not available". It would go for around 40-45 images of 3500 acquired images. Over time, it has developed a problem before buying a dialogue seems "Can't lock onto the video source" even if I can see data streaming via a monitor. This problem does not occur for the first acquisations of one or two and you should restart the machine a couple of times so he could acquire another double sets.

  The RAM in my machine is about 2.54 GB. It should be large enough to accommodate tampons.

  I then tried NOR-Imaq 3.1.3 it acquires Images perfectly. However, after allocate a buffer about 500 MB (about 1500 images), it appears a dialog box "operating system rejected the request to allocate more memory". I use Windows XP as the operating system. However, up to 1500 images acquisations is absolutely perfect (which makes me believe that the PCI 1411 is absolutely perfect).

  Can someone please help me to overcome a problem with NOR-Imaq 2.6.1 or by allocating more buffers to NOR-IMAQ 3.1.3?

  Most of my problems seem to be caused by using the older software. Currently, I installed Vision Acquisition 2010 and everything seems to work very well.

  So apparently uninstall the Vision Development Module strips the description of your error code error. I think we should focus on the "IMAQ Vision: cover Minimum value must be greater than zero" error. Can you run your application successfully in the development environment? You use the same camera at the time of development and deployment environment? Identical camera attributes are? What troubleshooting steps you tried before to solve the problem? Using NOR-IMAQ or NOR-IMAQdx?

  I am a new user of labview and I wish to study this subject IMAQ vision. However, for the same thing, I have no idea as to how I can use it on LabView. Smoker I don't understand if I have to download additional software for IMAQ Vision work with LabView. Kindly advice me.

  NOR-Vision and NOR-IMAQ are two different things. NOR-IMAQ is a set of drivers and software to acquire, view and save images of some devices. The supported devices are in the readme file. This software is free. NEITHER Vision is a software level. He did work with a wider variety of devices. It is not free.

  I think that it is best to call your local sales office OR that they would be better suited to help you, rather than this forum. We mainly answer technical questions here.
