NOR - RT.ini in the cvs-1458RT file

Hello

CRIO systems, there is a file named NOR - RT.ini, which can be used to settle the claim of commissioning, set the time zone, etc. It is normally located in the root. Is there a similar file for CVS-1458RT, and if so, where can I find it?

Thank you

Soheyl

Hello

If you go to/etc/natinst/share you will find no - rt.ini and lvrt.conf. Time zone is located in the [LVRT] section of ni - rt.ini (RTTarget.TimeZone = "Etc/GMT + 6" for example "), and the startup application are defined in lvrt.conf.

I hope this helps!

  • With the help of a .dll with a CVS 1458RT file

Hi, I am a student engineer currently working in my internship. I want to build a program with some OpenCV libraries using the .dll files. I can run in LabVIEW on WindowsOS. I used Visual Studio to compile and make my own .dll files. But I want to load on a CVS 1458RT. I read that this particular CVS uses 'Real-time NI Linux.'  My question is if I can load a .vi with .dll files on this particular CV, or if I have to compile the .so files so he could read since it runs on a Linux environment? I haven't tried to load it with .dll and afraid to do.

According to this, you must compile with specific OS file type: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/2EA49B05E67DDECF86256F9A006FB315

  • In fact to prevent 'desktop.ini' be queued to copy on DVD; reject the option "hide files".

As has been frequently posted before on many sites around the internet, Windows 7 adds the file "desktop.ini" to the queue ready to burn to a CD or DVD. I want him to stop.

I don't want to not read even the slightest thing about "hide system files", which is a frequently repeated failure to resolve, i.e. a hack stinky. In addition, I will absolutely not to hide all files system anyway.

The file 'desktop.ini' listed on a data disc or video is clearly very bad behavior: some respondents stated that the "desktop.ini" file is not actually burned. I don't like: if it won't be burned, it should not appear in the queue, and its appearance is a mistake.

Others have mentioned that they always just remove it. Although "duh", so do I. But I do not want to remember, especially when preparing backup discs, which contain often very many files, where I could not notice or don't forget to look for.

So here's the deal: the answers I want are those who

    (1) involve waste clicks is more after completing a single time correction.

    (2) let me continue, in perpetutity contemplate all the files that are actually on my discs, hidden or not.

    (3) I don't see really each particular file that will be burned on ever CD and DVD that I prepare, and

    (4) the depricated "desktop.ini" file which is very well on all the folders on my hard drive is not present on my CD or DVD.

  • Disable the creation of files desktop.ini in Windows 8

    Hi all

I want to know if this is a way to disable the creation of files desktop.ini, at least in the desktop system folder.

I knew that under XP there was a DWORD key which should be created to avoid creating all the desktop.ini files in the computer.

I don't want the desktop.ini file features (personalization of icon, remembering the last display in each folder options, etc.)

So I don't want to hide the desktop.ini files. I want to remove them and avoid Windows 8 create again and again.

If Microsoft has disabled this customization which was present in the earlier version of Windows and now is not available (to disable the creation of files desktop.ini) just say. If there is some other registry key to be created or modified, please advise.

    Thank you

    Pablo.

    Hi Pablo.

I would like to inform you that the Desktop.ini is a system file that addresses common issues, such as downloads, Documents, photos and music etc. When a change is made in these files, Desktop.ini is updated.

Deleting the file will cause problems with the operating system and it is not recommended to delete the files. The default desktop.ini a hidden system file and read-only attributes assigned.

If you want to stop these messages, go to the files through Search Options, click settings and you will see the Folder Options, click on it and the view tab and scroll down until you see "Hide protected operating system files (recommended) and put a checkmark in the box."

Hope that answers your query. You can write back to us for other queries/problems related to windows and we will be happy to help you further.

  • Add 9188 Chassis to the system definition file (sdf)

I want to measure the basic in Veristand 2011 without a custom device channels.  In the system definition file, how can I add a 9188 chassis? And how do I add a thermocouple on channel 0 on a series c 9213 module?  Thank you!

    Hello

You work with a Windows or device in real time?

If you use VeriStand able to work with a Windows-based system, the addition of a cDAQ-9188 should not be a problem; the equipment Discovery Wizard he will come if it's in the same network as the Windows computer. Having problems with this?

If you have a real-time like a Pharlap ETS PXI controller running target, you will not be able to use the cDAQ-9188 at all because it is not supported in real-time operating systems. If you work with a target in real time and you need the CompactDAQ you either move to Windows or we a USB CompactDAQ instead, like a cDAQ-9178.

Please refer to this topic. The second post made by a Product Support Engineer and I was able to confirm that the information is still valid even for the latest versions of NOR-DAQmx and VeriStand. You can also check the compatibility in real-time in the Readme of NOR-DAQmx 15.5.

  • nor - rt.ini RTTarget.OlsonTimeZone = "IS"

    Hi all

I'm working on a small client/server application that I can run on the target RT for letting me set the date, time, and time zone for the purpose of RT. I went down the date and fine, but I'm curious to know how to correctly set the zone information in the file of ni - rt.ini on the target (cRIO-9014).

It seems to be two keys (redundant?) for the time zone in the ini file, these are found in the section [LVRT] and are:

    RTTarget.OlsonTimeZone = "IS"

    RTTarget.TimeZone = "EST5"

I had never heard of the Olson time zone so I Googled, but according to wiki all country codes are two letters (ie. There is no 'IS' defined in the list, or at least not as IS)...

    So my question is this:

Y at - it an easier way to get a list of time GMT-shifts with the correspondent "OR flavor" of "OlsonTimeZone" that the RT is expected and also the 'time zone' "ABCx" tag?

(Easy to change time zone in max manually, by restarting and check the file for all the different time zones available).

    Thank you!

    Q

It is recommended that you use the API of the system configuration OR it took to resolve this kind of things on your target, in the case where in the future, define Olson timezone information (and whatever else you might not have found).  From LabVIEW RT 2011SP1 (which corresponds to the more late-and-more current), we do not use this setting on the target and it is not necessary to be there - right now the system OR Config API puts on target because they work to standardize how to do these kinds of things with "the rest of the community."  This does not guarantee that components in the future will not use the Olson time zone information - and require that information be present on the target - in order to work properly.

Unfortunately, your documentation is correct - VxWorks based controllers do not have the ability to set automatic DST setting rules.  However, PharLap controllers (including the cRIO-9002 / cRIO-9004 and controllers cRIO-9081 / cRIO-9082) can do.  The definition of the DST on PharLap is pretty easy.  You must change the following token:

    [LVRT]

    RTTarget.DSTRule = dm.dw.dd [.dh [.dm]] [, sm.sw.sd [.sh [.sm]]]

This may be quite simple, but you set the d (summer time) and possibly the s (standard time) with this token, setting the month, week and day (and possibly time and minute) that change takes place.

    For example, if we were to manually set the United States regulations, rules us DST(3=March, 0=Sunday, 2=Second Week, 2=2AM, 0=0Min) STD (11 = November, 0 = Sunday, 1 = week1, 2 = 2 AM, 0 = 0 Min) would be defined as:

    [LVRT]

    RTTarget.DSTRule = 3.0.2.2.0,11.0.1.2.0

  • Cannot deploy when you use the FPGA configuration file

    Hi all

I'm new to NI Veristand. We use a controller NIPXI 8108 with a map of FPGA OR 7841R. Is the used chassis OR PXI 1042 q. VeriStand does not deploy, when we try to add the target FPGA. For adding, we used the default for NOR 7841R provided with veristand FPGA configuration file. The error is attached! Without adding the FPGA target, we are able to deploy.

We programmed with LabVIEW FPGA card and it works.

    Please help us!

    Thank you

    SID

    Hi Sid

This is because the FPGA card is not connected through the chassis

Right click on the (unidentified) PXI system and identify as PXI 1042 q.

Right-click on the PXI-1042 q system and identify the PXI-8108 controller.

Then it will automatically fill the devices under the controller

Now try to deploy again. It will work

  • NOR-IMAQ library for the 64 bit version does exist?

    I use PCIe-1429 and NOR-IMAQ 4.1 and programming on VS2005.

NOR-IMAQ library for the 64 bit version does exist?

    Wooddoll,

    In general, 64-bit import libraries are installed in C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\Shared\ExternalCompilerSupport\C\Lib64\MSVC\imaq.lib for 64-bit variants.

The 64 bits real DLL is usually installed in C:\windows\system32\imaq.dll.

  • TestStand 4.2 string not found error in the language resource files

I installed the TestStand 4.2 on two Windows XP computers.  On a machine it worked fine first time. On the other machine, I get the following message if poster in the login box and also in the component models: ' String not found in language resource files. "I tried uninstalling and reinstalling TestStand twice but you still get this error.  This error is preventing me from being able to log in as administrator, so I am unable to use TestStand 4.2. I understand that these language resource files are supplied by the installer, but for some reason, it seems that the machine with the error cannot locate these.

The only difference between the two XP machines I can find is the location of user profiles.  I note that on versions of TestStand compatible Vista, that TestStand user settings are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand 4.2\Components on XP machines.  On the XP machine with the error all the user profiles are stored in C:\profiles, instead of C:\Documents and Settings.  This is the standard profile used by our company so I am not able to change that. TestStand Setup recognizes this and install for C:\profliles\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand 4.2\ TestStand user parameters.  Does anyone know if the location of user profiles is important, or if there is another cause of this error?

    Kind regards

    David

    David-

The cause of the channels being found is probably at the first launch of TS, the language files are not found. The language files contain default values, and these values are kept as actual values during the recording of the configuration files. For example, the default administrator name and the default folders in the Insert palette. I would recommend that you delete the file Users.ini and Templates.ini in the configuration directory and this should address your current behavior. I don't know why the connection appeared a problem because I was able to use the blank password on the user 'String not found in language resource files. If you still have problems with the connection, let us know.

  • where can I find the niscope_32.dll file?

    Hello:

the problem is like this: I used the function scope in my program, and then I did it in an executable file. but when I copy it to another computer and run the executable file, it will load the file niscope_32.dll

but where can I find the niscope_32.dll file?

You should not just copy the exe to a new pc. You create an installer that not only has the runtime, but the driver NOR-Scope.

  • Installation on the wrong partition files

I just install Windows XP on a drive with 2 partitions & put Windows files:

    Boot.ini, NTDETECT.COM & ntldr

on the partition to START NO! Can I safely move everything to the directory/folder root of the boot partition? I would like to do some work for this partition, but I don't want to destroy my new installation. Help, please.

Thank you for your answer, but I've done what you said could not be done & it worked fine. As you & others may want to know how I did it & does the job, here are the steps:

    (1) boot to another drive (or drive traction & mount as USB key). You must have access to the drive, when it is not running the operating system.
    (2) * NOTE * make sure that you perform this step for the right drive!
Command line, navigate to the hard drive to BOOT NO & make "attrib - SHR boot.ini" (remove the system, hidden, read-only attributes).
    (3) change the boot.ini with WordPad by changing the two entries in 'partition (1)
    (4) save boot.ini (if you can not save the file, make sure that you have #2 correctly).
    (5) command-line only 'attrib + boot.ini SHR' (Set to System, hidden, read only attributes).
    (6) move the file boot.ini, NTDETECT.COM & ntldr in C:\ (You may need to set Windows Explorer to view system files).
    7) download Partition Master for free here:
    http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm
    8) install Partition Master & run the program.
    (9) set, partition, primary partition C.
    (10) together C partition to partition Active, which also affects the other partition to the inactive at the same time.
    (11) to apply the changes. Shut down the system.
    (13) put the player in return, where it belongs. Initialize your reader!

  • You know a way to hide the desktop.ini from the desktop?

You know a way to hide the desktop.ini from the desktop?

I opened the properties and tried to make hidden, but they are already hidden. So why am I see them on my desk? It should only show us the hidden files in Explorer or any other program that lists the files and folders. My setting in Folder Options to show hidden files, otherwise hides them in Explorer too. I'm not changing this coz either, I want to see all the files and folder on my hard drive. No there is no way to hide just those on desktop?

No there is no way to hide just those on desktop?

No, it isn't. As far as I KNOW, you hide everything or you're not hiding anything. If you really want to get rid of it, you can move it to another folder, where you won't see it.
