Not able to add music downloaded to Windows DVD maker slide show
Music Windows DVD Maker problems
Cannot get my downloaded music to be recognised by Windows DVD Maker, when I try to add to the slideshow. Sample music (which came preloaded with the computer) is the only music he recognizes when I go to add music. I guess it's a problem of recognition of format, but I don't know how to download in a format that will work.

Might be worth trying to convert your music files to the
format .wma before importing in creation of DVD.
There are to many free converters available on the net...
download from Koyotesoft is an example:
(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)
Koyotesoft "Free MP3 WMA Converter".
http://www.koyotesoft.com/indexEn.html
(FWIW if you install the converter, you can uncheck
offerings from Yahoo and Dealio) (also... you can uncheck
the CD Ripper and Easy MP3 Cutter)
After installing the program... open and drag and drop
your audio files on the main screen...
Choose a backup folder (path of output). Or just leave...
"Save to the directory the file" checked and the new
files will be saved in the folder with the current files.
Choose a format...
Left, click Convert.

I have Adobe Photoshop 5.0 and use all the time so decided to make my first slideshow. I want to add music from my itune library which is on the same pc. When I click on 'Add media' I have 2 choices: add audio to audio file Organizer or Ad. I can only add music organizer sample (I don't know how to get my music in to the Organizer) or music sample of music from my PC folder. He won't get the music in my iTunes library. I created a nice slide show, but it's nothing without the music. Can someone help me?
I think that your problem is more on getting the audio as an MP3 or WAV file from iTunes, only a problem with Photoshop. Are these songs you download from the iTunes store?

How to add TITLES staged using Windows DVD Maker?
There are many instructions on how to burn a DVD. The problem is my scenes appear with no title and I want to add a little. What are the specific steps to take to achieve this? Or is it simply not possible in this program?
John, thank you for your 3 links above. Unfortunately, they are essentially the same, but worse yet, none of them address in any way, how to add titles to the scene. Yes, there are instructions on how to rename the BUTTON SCENES, but it's not what interests me in practice. I want to quote the SCENES themselves that appear when I click the scenes button.
Is it still possible? (My guess is that it is not.) It's very frustrating, because it is a fairly basic need.
I burned three videos on one DVD - each with very subtle differences. Now each of them appears in the area of scenes from the DVD as a kind of "film reel icon" with no title/label associated with each, so they look identical, leaving me to guess who is who. Let me label them so that I don't have to click on each one and shows him through know exactly that one I selected in the menu scenes.

I have the windows Director, went to Microsoft and tried to download Windows DVD maker but does not appear to have installed despite me try it 3 times, all I want to do is publish a movie!
On Vista, Windows DVD Maker requires that you have Windows Vista Home Premium or Windows Vista Ultimate Edition. If you have one of these versions, you should already have Windows DVD Maker and Windows Movie Maker 6.0. These versions of Windows Vista are required to have copies under license from MPEG-2 to make a video DVD.
I was not aware of a separate installer for Windows DVD Maker, so I suspect you look at something of a 3rd site part. If it is a Microsoft site, can provide you the address you use?

I'm not able to add a shared printer on a Windows XP client computer.
original title: network printers
I'm not able to add a shared printer on a Windows XP client. One, printers
Canon MP830 and an Okidata 320 are installed locally on a Windows 2003 Print
Server. Both are on the same domain. I also have Windows XP, 7, Vista and Linux
machines on the same network. They are all able to print. The only one who does
not working is a Windows XP client. This machine has also win 7, Vista installed
on different hard drives. they are able to print to shared printers. I have
cammot access to a printer by using the UNC path. I can see the shared
printers in Favorites network but I can not connect. If I use the add printer
Wizard to add a network printer, the printer appear in the book: but
Yet once, they will not connect the error message I get is:
"Unable to add the printer connection. Either the typed wsa printer name
incorrctly, or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server. »
I checked the permissions for the priners and I am logged in as one
administrator when I try to add the printer. I also checked the group policy and
everything seems to be oK. I also deleted and added the printer to the
Server, that I managed to install them as local printers on the affected XP machine
using the \\server_name\printer_share_name port. The priner name and the
share name are the same for each printer. They have all worked last week that
network printers. I'm curious to know what is causing this weird behavior. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
John

I recently moved my music on an external hard drive folder to exclude images during the backup. When I went to make a video of photos and music with Mindows DVD Maker (supplied with Windows), I found there is no function to 'Point' the program to the location of the music files. I brought back them to the location of origin, but when I go to 'ADD Music' button is not take me to get music files. I have a Windows disc or whatever it is with Windows DVD Maker Program on it. Will I need to buy a drive for Win 7 Windows to re - install this program? A disc of Windows 7 will allow me to programs of "repair"?

RE: iTunes and WMP - MusicBridge
Found this on the web. I can't vouch for it. Use it at your own risk.Excerpt:
iTunes is not compatible with Windows Media Player. iTunes is - like Apple-very protective of any product and does not like to share. So, you have to force off iTunes and WMP.To do this, you can use this sloppy program: MusicBridge.
The description of its creator:
MusicBridge allows people who use both iTunes and WMP on the same machine to keep their libraries in sync. MusicBridge offers a variety of synchronization options so that you can manage your collection of music in the media player, or both. MusicBridge duplicates of meta-data between Windows Media Player and iTunes, it does not copy the physical files between applications.Version 2.0.1 is a bug fixing release.
Best thing: it's free.

convert the songs in your iTunes library to a format that Windows Media Player can understandYou can convert the songs in your iTunes library to a format of Windows Media Player can understand - (I tend to use mp3). This can be done inside of iTunes itself. If the songs in your iTunes library were purchased in the iStore and were purchased in the plus version (indicated by a small sign above the price of a song +), then they are DRM free, so they can be converted easily. However, if the songs were not purchased in the format more, you can convert them for 30 cents each. I highly recommend that you do as the plus version of songs are premium quality - and since they are DRM free, you can use them in almost all applications and you can burn them to CD and play almost anywhere. All the songs on the iTunes store are now version more, so you don't have to worry about searching for them in the future.
To convert songs to Windows Media Player can understand, open iTunes, and then do the following:
1. click Edit, preferences, and go to the general tab
2. click on the button "import settings".
3. change the "import using" at "MP3 encoder".
4. click OK and go back to your music library
5. choose the list view and select the first piece of your library
6. scroll all the way to the last song in your library
7. press the button SHIFT key, then click the last song to select all the songs in your library
8. click on "Advanced" and then "Create MP3 Version."
9. your songs should start to convert and according to how many songs do you have in your library, this could take some time
10. open Windows Media Player and press F3 or click file, add it to the library
11. click on OK - Windows Media Player should start to search for songs on your computer and after that he finished the search, you should find the songs in your library in your Windows Media Player to iTunes library.NOTE: This method will not work unless you have purchased iTunes songs or if you have converted the songs iTunes more for each 30 c

Windows DVD Maker - a section will not play music
I used Windows DVD Maker to create a photo slideshow. I downloaded music and for some reason there is a break in the music after the second song. In the end, the last sang the fade in unfinished is not because there are not enough audio files. It works wonderfully for previews, until I checked the box to get the match audio and video to the top of the calendar. I tried to delete all the audio files and download them once again, but this is the same area without noise. I also "unchecked" to have the photos and audio to the height.
Hi Jill,
1. which is the file format of the audio file? What is .mp3?
2. it worked before?
There could be some compatibility issues when playing .mp3 files in Windows DVD Maker.
You try to add another file in DVD Maker and check if it works.
Method 1: Check if the audio and video filters are causing this issue.
Method 2:
Try to change Windows DVD Maker DVD-Video settings and check.

Not able to add printers on El Capitan
I have a late 2009 Mac Mini running OS X El Capitan 10.11.4. Since the update to El Capitan, I'm not able to add printers, or find software of the printer. When I opened the printers and Scanners in system preferences, then click (+) to set up a printer, 'Name', 'Place' and 'Use' is not selectable. If they are not selectable, how am I supposed to add a printer?
I have a printer Laser of Brother DCP-7065DN. When I connect it via USB, it does not appear. All ports operate. (I checked quad). The cord works with my other printer (a Canon MX860), is not the power cord.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated!
Visit brother support website and search for the latest driver. Download and install, and then try again.
