Add music to my windows movie maker

I am trying to add music to windows movie maker, I made photo slides. Mp3 Music (s) I tried adding wouldn't let me.  He said that the music cannot be imported, unspecified error.  Any suggestions

It will be you can add other music not .mp3 files?  These .mp3 files will play for you in other applications such as Windows Media Player?

Load MOVIE maker and go to Tools / Options / tab to check codec compatibility.  Try with just the selected AVI compressor.

RE: iTunes and WMP - MusicBridge

Found this on the web. I can't vouch for it. Use it at your own risk.

    Excerpt:
iTunes is not compatible with Windows Media Player. iTunes is - like Apple-very protective of any product and does not like to share. So, you have to force off iTunes and WMP.

To do this, you can use this sloppy program: MusicBridge.
    The description of its creator:
MusicBridge allows people who use both iTunes and WMP on the same machine to keep their libraries in sync. MusicBridge offers a variety of synchronization options so that you can manage your collection of music in the media player, or both. MusicBridge duplicates of meta-data between Windows Media Player and iTunes, it does not copy the physical files between applications.

Version 2.0.1 is a bug fixing release.

    Best thing: it's free.

convert the songs in your iTunes library to a format that Windows Media Player can understand

You can convert the songs in your iTunes library to a format of Windows Media Player can understand - (I tend to use mp3). This can be done inside of iTunes itself. If the songs in your iTunes library were purchased in the iStore and were purchased in the plus version (indicated by a small sign above the price of a song +), then they are DRM free, so they can be converted easily. However, if the songs were not purchased in the format more, you can convert them for 30 cents each. I highly recommend that you do as the plus version of songs are premium quality - and since they are DRM free, you can use them in almost all applications and you can burn them to CD and play almost anywhere. All the songs on the iTunes store are now version more, so you don't have to worry about searching for them in the future.
To convert songs to Windows Media Player can understand, open iTunes, and then do the following:
    1. click Edit, preferences, and go to the general tab
    2. click on the button "import settings".
    3. change the "import using" at "MP3 encoder".
    4. click OK and go back to your music library
    5. choose the list view and select the first piece of your library
    6. scroll all the way to the last song in your library
    7. press the button SHIFT key, then click the last song to select all the songs in your library
    8. click on "Advanced" and then "Create MP3 Version."
    9. your songs should start to convert and according to how many songs do you have in your library, this could take some time
    10. open Windows Media Player and press F3 or click file, add it to the library

    11. click on OK - Windows Media Player should start to search for songs on your computer and after that he finished the search, you should find the songs in your library in your Windows Media Player to iTunes library.

NOTE: This method will not work unless you have purchased iTunes songs or if you have converted the songs iTunes more for each 30 c

  • How can I insert an mp3 music file in Windows Movie Maker?

How can I insert an MP3 of the music on Windows movie maker film?  I downloaded this song three times from Amazon.com... the file is fine.  Yet, when I'm in Windows Movie make and attempt to insert of the song, I get a message saying that the file is invalid or damaged.  The file is fine.  I'm able to import OTHER songs without problem to my film.  BUT I want this song in particular one and can't make it work.

Convert MP3 to WMA format before importing
in Movie Maker and you should have a better result.

There are many freeware converters available on

  • Cannot add music and narration in movie maker.

Original title: movie maker project on a stall

    good,

I have two projects develop photos and titles laid out with all the fade in/out choices and now I can't add my choice of music, a story and "finish the project" in order to change it.  I had Director 7 on my old laptop and no problems like that.  WHAT ME DO OR NOT DO?  Help!

    Hello

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing.

If you could answer a few questions that would help us resolve this problem:

    1. what version of Movie Maker is installed on the computer?

    2. What is the format of the music files you are trying to add?

    3. do you have a code error message when you try to add music and narration to the project?

    4. the problem occurs with all types of music files?

If music files are Digital Right Management protected, you will not be able to add to the Movie Maker. It might not have to do with the settings but the Movie Maker is not able to recognize the file format of music stored on your computer.

For information about adding narration to the project, you can follow the suggestions from this link:

  • Protected by digital rights management and cannot add music from windows media player to windows movie maker

Original title: I can't add music from my windows media player to my windows movie maker?

I made a video with windows movie maker and when I tried to add music from my windows media player, I got a message that says that my music is protected by digital rights management and it would'nt I will add the music.i have made a film before, and I could add music.the music in my Media Player is from my own cd collection. then how will I can't add music to my windows movie maker?

Movie Maker probably only supports unprotected WMA files.

WMA files will be protected if they were torn apart by WMP with the copy protect music setting (Options of WMP - music Rip) turned on. For an unprotected WMA, you will need to re - rip track, after being assured that this setting is disabled.

You can add music and narration Audio / Music track in Windows Movie Maker. The two can play at the same time in your published movie. You can then adjust the audio levels to determine which audio will play louder than the other in your movie.

Simple solution... Publish (save) your project in the
film format .wmv to a folder on your hard drive.

Re-import the file .wmv (as a new project) and now
audio / music will be clear and you can add
    the narration.

In Windows Movie Maker, it is not possible to add music and narration to the time in a video but as a work-around, try this:

    Step 1

    (2) add your videos to the script/storyboard.
    (3) add audio recordings (narration clips) in the timeline panel.

I used Windows Movie Maker to create movies and I tried to add a MP3 to a photo slideshow, and he suddenly decided to not work when adding music to a Slideshow photo had worked the last time, I tried. I have since then restarted my computer several times, and each time it doesn't always work as it had before. When I slide the .mp3 to the slide show and try to play, it has no sound at all. My speakers are on, I have troubleshooted for this. The works of .mp3 when played in a music player (iTunes), it just plays then in Windows Movie Maker. Before the audio tracks, a way of seeing sound waves - where the sound was loud and soft, but recently those too are gone, and that's what I think the problem is. It would be nice if it was a track that wouldn't play, but I tried it again with the track that worked previously, and is no longer work or the other and all other .mp3 files I put in there do not work either. • Windows Movie Maker, add multiple transitions...

So I use the windows Director, received a 2000 dollar laptop in the hope that it would work better than my old mac.

I tried EVERYTHING, select all, clicking wildly. I'm tired and actually take a stick flash from this computer in my old mac where I can do it with a single click.

PROBLEM: I 1265 pictures I put in a slideshow, with transitions between each, and music. MUSIC: CHECK. PHOTO: CHECK. TRANSITIONS: ONE AT A TIME! WTF! Sorry about the language, but he me flusters when a mac I got in 2006 surpasses my two day old PC. On mac, I press a button and random transitions appear on ALL my photos.

Any help? I'm on vista premium, Movie Maker 6.0.

    Hello roadrunnersk,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

Sorry, you have a problem with that!  I added a few steps, I hope, will help with the addition of transitions.  Please let us know status.  Thank you!

    1.

On the table of the storyboard / timeline, click the second of the two video clips, titles or images that you want to add a transition between.

    2.

Click on Tools, and then click Transitions.

    3.

In the content pane, click the transition that you want to add. You can click read under the screen to see a preview of what looks like the transition.

    4.

Click the Clip, and then click Add to the timeline or Add to the storyboard table.

    Notes

    ·         You can also add a transition by dragging in the timeline and dropping it between two clips on the video track. Or, if you are in the view storyboard, drag the transition to the cell to transition between two video clips or pictures.

    ·         If you updated your Windows XP computer to Windows Vista, any other transitions and effects that you had previously downloaded and installed will not be available in the current version of Windows Movie Maker.

Add transitions and effects to pictures and video in Windows Movie Maker:
