  • How will I know that I can uninstall it? It says "not enough space on drive D.

Original title: How do iknow, I can uninstall when I said im my running out of space

not enough space on drive d

    Hello

You may have a serious problem that you can't solve yourself.

Click Start > computer > see if D: is the recovery drive and in this case it must be sized anywhere between 5-15GBs about.

If it fits this description, you should contact the manufacturer of your computer, as they placed this hard disk recovery disk.

The recovery disk is placed there only for you to reinstall the operating system if you have a bad system crash recovery disk to reinstall the operating system in the event of total failure of the hard drive.

The recovery disk is cannot be used for these purposes.

The manufacturer will help you fix it.

If this is not the recovery disk please post back.

    See you soon.

  • Trying to extend the c drive with space unallocated in diskpart.exe - I get the message that there is not enough space. what I am doing wrong?

DiskPart.exe help - not enough space - I have more than 5 GB of unallocated space. trying to expand the C: drive

    Hello mark_kman,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

It sounds as if you have multiple partitions. Disk management and DiskPart extends the volume with a focus on the next contiguous unallocated space. For basic volumes, the unallocated space must be on the drive and must follow (have a plu sector offset number than) the partition with focus.

If you are looking at disk management, this means that, if you look at your partition C: the unallocated space MUST be located directly to the right of the C: partition. If you have another partition between the two, you will be allowed to extend the partition directly to the left of the unallocated space.

This could be a work around, if you have C: and D: and have files on D: but have more space.

-D: shrink to create just enough unallocated space to store your files located on D:.
-Create a new partition with unallocated space to move your files.
-Move your D: files to your new partition.
-Now, to delete the D: partition

This creates unallocated space between your C: partition and the new partition that you created to move your files.

-Now right click on your C: partition and extend as usual.

    Hope this helps

  • Windows 7 says that my drive is not enough space - when it is almost empty.

I've been moving files from one disk of 1 TB on an empty 2 TB drive. So far, I moved on 200 GB on 2 TB drive. Twice today for moving groups of files that were 3 to 10 GB, my machine was told that he was not "enough space" on the reader target when there was, indeed, 1.6 TB of space empty remaining. After clicking on the 'try' new 'button' about 15 or 20 times, the machine is softened and allows me to move the files.

The target disk is new and has no bad sectors and on which I run chkdsk today.  I never saw this problem in Windows XP.

Taking into account the comment of Joel, what it has always been faster use copy it / stick and then delete the old file that order, use the command move.

  • I get an error message not enough space, I can install adobe on drive (D) instead of (C)

The computer I have has a concert of 1oo "C" drive, it is full, I get an error message when I try to download and install, that there is not enough space on C.  That I can install it on D?

It depends on what 'it' is.  If 'it' is a CC product...

    Change for Applications installation location

With the application of CC open, select the gear icon in the upper right, and then choose Preferences.  In the preferences of the screen select creative cloud and then look for the drop-down list installation location

Large. I am pleased that my DBAN guide has helped you.

Now that you are on the factory settings, I advise Dell DataSafe Local Backup uninstall and upgrade to the latest version of Dell backup and restoration which has many bugs/improvements, including the ability to restore to another hard drive which is useful in case the hard disk fails in the future or you decide to upgrade later to an SSD. The XPS 8300 running perfectly with a SSD, I have mine put in place with one. Then you can create a Rescue Disk (external hard drive Bootable) or Backup factory (Bootable USB Flash Drive) that will be promoted the recovery compared to the facts media with Dell DataSafe Local Backup. Note This is not a UEFI BIOS (he missed just out on the passage to the UEFI) but may start from an external hard drive.

  • Bad burn on Blu - Ray; not enough space?

    Hi all

    I bought a blu ray burner =:

    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1051647-reg/samsung_se_506cb_rswd_sam_slim _exterior_blue_ray.html

Create the disk opens its doors to about 66% asks me to insert a disc. The project is only about 3 minutes. long.

Then, at some point, I get the error message; "Not enough space on the startup disk.

Once the error was; not enough space on the disk, but it's a Virgin blu - ray disc. (BD - R)

There is plenty of space on the hard drive of my iMac.

The burner did not come with software to Mac but I chose the burner in the FCX share window.

Other: When I right click on a movie on the desktop file I see an option for burning, but where can I say it blu - ray?

    Thank you

    Al

Is the library of the PCF on your startup disk and where the media is stored?

If you burn a movie from a file in the Finder, it is a data disk and will not readable on a Blu Ray player.

  • Backup Restore Time Machine: not enough space

Hi all, I am a neophyte tech so forgive me if I'm not clear. I will try to explain the problem as best I can:

I have an old MacBook 2009 running Mountain Lion. A few months ago, my brother gave me his old Pro and so my MacBook 2009 fell by the wayside. I used an external hard drive with that old computer as my backup time machine, but as I tried to transfer a lot of documents and photos and update of dropbox and download photos of google and to understand each of these things as I went along, I totally messed up the MacBook. Just... things are weird... nothing was, where it used to be and my photos were gone and Yes, much of this is probably down to me trying to understand a bunch of new programs at once, BUT what I want to do is to restore it to the way it was using a time machine backup.

So, I googled around and I know when I start it up until I'm supposed to press Ctrl + R and choose the backup that I want, but when it gets to the part where I select a destination and click the only option (the Mac HD), an error message appears with a yellow flag saying "this disc is not enough space to restore your system.

Now, I don't really know what that means, but what I want to do is to get rid of the current way, this computer is completely and attach it to the way it was when I did the last Time Machine backup.

Someone help me please... this stuff is so frustrating when I can't figure it out for me and I am sure that there is an easy solution. I read a lot about partitions etc. but I don't know what all of this means that even.

    Thank you in advance!

    Alexandria

Boot into Recovery now command + R to start. Choose disk utility and erase the boot volume, it should be named Macintosh HD, unless you renamed it. When the erase is quit disk utility and choose to restore from your Time Machine backup. OS X: on OS X Recovery - Apple Support

  • iPod cannot be synced because there is not enough space

I just got a new computer and I tried and tried to sync my ipod touch, product type is: Ipod 3.1. and iOS 5.1.1. on the new computer. I have all the songs from the old computer and their transfer to the new computer, but I get the error message "Ipod cannot be synced because there is not enough space to hold all of the items in the itunes library (like 55.88 GB required). This computer now has a lot of hard drive to contain this music, and my ipod has a capacity of 57,92. Now, if I think right, it's almost an ipod everything! I'm so confused by the present. I have not added a lot more music. Please explain and help me understand what I need to do to get my ipod to sync. I tried to reduce the bit rate only to get the error saying that I need extra GB 38.65. What happens here? Help, please.

Now, if I am not mistaken, the songs that you have in the itunes application, is what gets synchronized, I have additional music in other folders, but I don't have them uploaded to the app. Are they still in the library? Please help me not to be confused on this issue. I greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

You try to synchronize too much media to iPod.

Verify that synchronization of the settings

  • Not enough space

We have an iMac and MacBook 2 backup on a capsule 3 TB. It now says not enough space. Should it not be automatically delete older backups to free up space. I have to start over and do a back up of all three computers?

About alert TM "Backup Drive is full"

TM only deletes older files if they have been removed from the source and when TM needs space on the backup to a new incremental backup drive. Time Machine "Jules Destrooper" its backups. over 24 hours, old backups, except the first of the day; These "dailies", old more 30-day backups, except the first day of the week. The weeklies are kept as long as there is room.

So, how long a backup rest file depends on how long it was on your Mac before being deleted, assuming that you do at least one backup per day. If she was there for less than 24 hours, it will be maintained for at least a month. If she was there at least a week, it will be maintained as long as there is room.

Note that, on a Time Capsule, the sparsebundle grows in size as needed, but not descended. View of the user of the TC so it seems that no space was released, although there may be space in the sparsebundle.

Once TM has found that it cannot free enough space for new backup it reports the disk is full. You can erase the backup disk and start your backup or replace the disc with a larger drive.
