Not found wireless Assistant

I lost my wireless (Windows XP).  The wireless network wizard is missing.  I have re-installed which and the driver for the wireless connection.  It worked, but then the next day when I turned on the computer they disappeared again.  I tried to reinstall it again, but it still does not work.  A year or two ago what happened and I took it for repair and when it came back, I was told that everything that needs to be done has been hit the letter 'F' buttons on the top line, but I don't remember what "F #" to use and if I need to do something else.  Any ideas?

Hi Missmelis7,

Thanks for posting. What wireless network wizard you speak and who makes it? Also can you let me know the make and model of your PC or laptop, so I can locate the latest driver? Finally you can check and see if the network card is detected by the system.

To do this.
1. click on start
2. right click "my computer".
3. Select 'manage '.
4. in the left pane of the window, select "Device Manager".
5. in the right pane, navigate and open "network adapters."
6. Please let me know what cards are listed here.

Hope this Helps. I would like to know what are your conclusions.

  • Not found wireless module

I have usuing a G60 laptop and my product number is VM084UA #ABA and my OS is Windows 7 64 bit. Suddenly, I could get my wireless to work a few hours after using it all morning. Unfortunately, it seems that many people have encountered this type of problem.  The wireless "bars" icon will not be displayed in my taskbar, even with an 'X' through it to show that it is the beginning. I can't find my home network, or any network near the network sharing Center, so I don't see a connection only available broadband.

I ran the diagnostic troubleshooting and everything he says, it is that I need an ethernet cable, which is quite unnecessary.

I tried to activate the wireless button blue/orange, Windows Mobility Center and HP wireless assistant. The rest button always orange and has no response. I clicked on all the shortcuts that I could find to access the HP Wireless Assistant, but nothing happens and it won't start. Mobility Center is completely missing the icons located in this FAQ, and the drop-down list HP Wireless Assistant has only 'Settings' and "WLAN off the coast", with "WLAN on" nowhere in sight.

I have restarted my computer several times, pulled the battery, installed all updates I could find, uninstalled them, restored system, restarted my router (even if other computers are very well pick up wireless), run several virus scans, captured in trawl by statutes wireless on HP support site and a bunch of forums and came up with nothing. When I installed a new version of the BIOS, however, after I restarted my computer, he told me that the wireless module was not found and to access certain parts of the HP site, I was only able to write half until it went off the screen. Then I looked at my drivers and I couldn't find WIFI or Bluetooth anywhere. I have found that the RealTek PCIe FE family controller, which I don't know has nothing to do with the wireless adapter. I feel that it has to do with ethernet, which works very well. I tried updating my drivers, but they took too long to find the updates, so I assumed that there were not all and it cancelled.

The only step I can think is rip my computer and check if some piece of hardware has melted or something. Is there anything else I should check before resorting to that?

    Thank you.

Ah, nevermind, I managed to find a solution while watching others around this forum.

I fixed it by doing a hard reset. Turn off and unplug everything from your computer, and then remove the battery. Press on and press and hold power for about ten seconds, and then restart your computer. Now my wireless is back. Hope it will be useful.

  • HP Envy M4 1115dx: Qualcomm QCA Atheros Driver Installation error | Device not found wireless adapter

I just replaced my old HD with a new SSHD Seagate. Everything is going well until I tried to connect to internet in wifi wireless mode with. I think it was a pilot error because I just do a blank Windows 8 install on my new SSHD (hybrid drive SSD). So I went to find the Driver for the WLAN Module.

HP is automatically detected my laptop model number and gave me a list of drivers. I selected "Qualcomm Atheros QCA90000 series Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows" under the list of Driver Network in the menu dropdown.

In the middle of the installation of this driver, I was arrested and met a titled error message, "802.11a/b/g/n Wireless adapter device not found". Just below this title was a big red circle with a white X sign. Besides, he said: "the device may not be present or could have been ejected unplugged from the system. Abortieng the installation, please insert the card and try again the Setup program. »

Below is a screenshot of what I mean.

Problem solved. I uninstalled all the drivers but the Ralink. Think I know what may have caused this.

The recommended for WLAN driver was based on a misinterpretation on behalf of HP. HP auto detected my laptop as a 1150la instead of the 1115dx model.

I'm not sure why HP thinks that my model is another, but it may have something to do with the SSHD and thermal fan replacement I did before this error WiFi.

    Hello

    Please try this.

Disconnect the power sector and battery that no accessories must be connected to your laptop. Then press and hold the power button on your device for 15 to 30 seconds then plug the battery & power checking if the unit works fine.

If you are comfortable with reinstalling the wireless card that will be on the rear panel of your device you can try this steps as well.

  • HP 15-d017cl Notebook PC: not found wireless device. No seriously, as * gone * not found.

Earlier today, I was using my computer to access the internet (was simply looking at Facebook, nothing special) and suddenly my computer crashed.  He had a quick error on a thread in the driver or the device or something like that.  When the computer is restarted, option wireless connections would not pop-up, just ethernet.  So after a lot of Troubleshooting Wizard and pressing this button small adapter wireless without success (the red light was on it all the time, which is routinely), I checked the settings, but while the 'airplane mode' section is very well and has the small cursor to activate, and devices 'Wireless' below says "we found on this PC wireless devices."  Well, of course there should be some.  I tried a bunch of things:

-Went to the Device Manager and clicked on network adapters.  RealTek PCIe FE Family Controller is the only element here, I take it is the connection to the local network, as is anything that works.  Under Human Interface devices, he has HID compatible wireless radio controls and driver HP wireless button.  They are both updated and according to the properties, work correctly.

-Use Windows Update to check for updates, install and reboot.  Nothing new.

-Use system restore to go back a few days.  Nothing new.

Next option I could think would be to restore the driver of HP wireless button (HID-compliant doesn't have the option), and if it does not, an another system restore or reset.  I hope not to have to do, because it's going to take a lot of work and a shopping spree, I have all the pictures of my two years since he was born as well as a whole bunch of programs, not what I think I have the program CD for more (my husband had some items stolen awhile back).  I'd love for more suggestions, I've been working on it for several hours and my brain hurts.

    Hello

Try to update the Bios and the last pilot wireless from the HP website.

Where you're comfortable, reinstall the wireless card once to the back side of the device. If these two options do not work, I would say to replace the wireless card as it is may be defective.

  • Photosmart C4380 - not found wireless network

My photosmart C4383 than worked fine with wifi since 2007, but yesterday he lost his IP address.

I ran hp-setup, with connected USB and the network connection has been restored, but he disappeared after

the first attempt to print. After that, each running hp - Setup fails with the message

'No wireless networks found', although my wifi, provided by a Netgear router, works very well, as I have

4 devices connected, and they immediately find the wifi on reboot.

I don't see any explanation, except that the problem is with the photosmart himself.

    Am I wrong?

    Hey @pfrenkiel ,

Thanks for joining us on the HP Forums today, hope you enjoy your time with us!

I understand that you encounter connectivity problems on your Photosmart C4383. You are able to make it all work, but you are not able to get on the wireless network more.

With the printer being as old as it is, it could very well lose functionality in its internal modem. It is not a replaceable part unfortunately. This is probably what happened because you are not able to see more networks of the printer.

You can either continue to use the printer via the USB port or upgrade to a new printer.

I wish I could help you on the Forums, but I simply can't. Best of luck and hope this isn't too much inconvenience.

    Hello

Maybe you could check if a WLan driver would help you to solve this annoying problem.
I read a lot of discussion on Wlan issues and especially update driver helped.

    Please take a look here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

Here's the latest WLan drivers for Toshiba units.

Please consider an update of the BIOS too often older BIOS may cause problems of compatibility with WLan and should be updated too!

  • Installed right but not found wireless network adapter?

    http://i48.Tinypic.com/153w7y0.jpg
I'm speechless. I got all the drivers installed.

    Hello

Run the administrator device driver and check the result. To do this, follow these steps.
    1. find the CD/DVD driver. Insert it into the CD/DVD drive.
    2. right click on the file to install the driver, click Run as administrator.
    3. follow the instructions in the wizard and complete the installation.

The link which was published in the previous thread is good and works without any problem. Once you open the link, you should see the title "hardware devices not detected or does not ' and a lot of information with the button 'run now '. Click the "Run now" button, click "Run" and follow the instructions in the wizard to install it.

We add the link once again: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/hardware_device_problems

    I hope this helps.
