• Outlook 2007 not responding - usually happens when creating an email and text editing

  Run the sp2 of Vista with MS Outlook 2007 (12.0.6504.5000) SP2 MSO (12.0.6425.1000).  Sporadic term problem that has become almost repeatable long and that occur so often it is largely to prevent creation of emails.  Problem seems to be reproducible when the use of deleting characters in a partially typed message causing Outlook to freeze and brings up the topic not responding.  You can let Outlook and wait, but invariably you must close Outlook either right-click in the window and selecting close or using ctrl alt del and selecting Start Manager tasks then close Outlook which is presented as does not not in the Task Manager.  Tried to move the .pst, compression, the removal of component files including windows search snap.  According to technical forums there are a lot of problems of this kind (not responding) but it's hard to find anything on Microsft site that provides all the answers.  Any help is appreciated as I am currently having to consider rusing another e-mail program.  My other computer uses XP and Outlook 2002 and it works very well!

• Windows Update - not the usual problem (it works!)

  Windows 7 SP1; Windows Update works, BUT when it's an automatic check (daily?), that it takes about an hour and fully use a CPU at 100% during this period.  Pointers appreciated.

• Select a blackberry contact. Not the usual question.

  Hi all

  I just got a request for a user to be able to select the contacts in the sim phone book.

  I currently use this code.

    BlackBerryContactList contacts = (BlackBerryContactList)BlackBerryPIM.getInstance().openPIMList(BlackBerryPIM.CONTACT_LIST, BlackBerryPIM.READ_WRITE);
              BlackBerryContact contact = (BlackBerryContact)contacts.choose();
  

  That works very well for contacts stored on the blackberry. But at the time wherever you select SIM Phone Book it does not appear you can 'choose' number.

  Google search and research forum has not turned up a response so I'm hoping a clever soul can help me.

  There is no API to access the sim card phonebook.  The user is able to import the phone book sim card in BlackBerry contacts.

• BlackBerry Smartphone Options icon missing - not the usual question

  I'm about to throw this bad boy out the window.  We just got my husband a 8310 (I already have one).  It uses the theme of the Dimension.  He has relocated part of its icons in a new folder.  While he was trying to get them back by deleting the master file, the folder that contains the icon disappeared.  We tried to hit menu - show all (not there).  We also tried a battery pull and return service directories.  I read about a possible problem with the theme of the Dimension not refreshing properly after you create a new file.  Do you think that re - install the software on my laptop and annihilate the phone would work?  Thanks for your help!

  Problem solved.  I just had to return the directories of service a second time.

• Media Center cascade have not all photos - not the usual problems

  This isn't a matter of marking and refresh. I searched on the net for weeks and I have not found someone with a similar question. Basically the waterfall poster only a fixed number of album covers from A to somewhere through t. tried to add in music by alphabetical order, letter by letter and refresh the cache of art every time, and it always stops updating at the same point. I tried to add music in reverse order of Z back in the same way and I get the same result when I arrive about G.  I guess the cache album_art is limited, but I can't believe that no one else has had the same problem. My music collection is not that the large = about 70 GB / 1200 albums.

• ORA-01017 logging in OEM as sysdba but not as usual

  I have a 10,2.0.4 database of area B which was created from a cold backup of a database on the box has (Solaris 10).  The agent is 11.1.0.1 as the database on area C (Linux) with the OEM repository.

  I created a (fs) user that has sysdba privileges in the 10.2.0.4 database on box A.  Since the creation of a cold backup of database box A box B database, the user exists with the same privileges and password.

  OEM, when I connect to the database on the box, I can connect with fs user, password and then in the drop-down menu, select sysdba and I connect.  When I try to log in using the OEM for the database on the zone B, I enter the user as fs, give the password, click the menu drop down and assign sysdba and the connection fails and ORA-01017.  I tried to retype the password and it has not yet.  I've logged in area B, connected with fs as sysdba in sqlplus and had no problems.  I went back to the OEM and tried again with the error 1017.

  Here's the weird thing: if I try to connect as fs in OEM to database of area B, but leave it as 'normal', the connection works fine.  It only fails when I try to open a session using fs as sysdba and who fails only OEM.

  Someone at - he already seen this before?

• HTP.p does not like usual after upgrade to the apex 4.2.6

  We have recently upgraded the Apex 4.0.2 on Oracle 11 g using Embedded PLS door of entry to the Apex 4.2.6 on Oracle 11 g using ADR.

  The initial series of unit tests seemed well until a few questions supported around "htp.p".

  The scenario is like this:

  1. the user fills some fields on the page-10 and click the Save"" button.

  2. This button then performs a redirection to a pop up page where some inputs more are invited to enter.

  3. when the user clicks "OK" on the popup:

  i. an anonymous PLSQL block is executed in the backend (as after presenting processes).

  II. another PLSQL block is executed, which closes the popup windows and returns the control to the parent page.

  This is achieved using htp.p...

  For example:

  HTP.p ("< body > '");

  HTP.p ("< script type =" text/javascript "> '");

  HTP.p ("var alertMsg =" &. P38_PO_AMOUNT has been paid";");)

  The anonymous block under step 3.i. is well executed and done what it takes in the backend.

  Its the next step which is driving me crazy, I tried to add debugging but to no avail.

  The weird part is that the message "& P38_PO_AMOUNT. has been paid' getting appears on the pop-up itself instead of parent.

  Any ideas or pointers to this problem would be a great help. I have come to the forums and metalink for any position and had no luck so far.

  Thanks for the reply and apologize for the delay in responding.

  But 2 doubts which do not appear in your code:

  1. why you placetag through PTH again? Body will be already present on the page 7

  2. What is "this" in your window close event? 'this' will be indefinite in my opinion

  Thetag and the reference to 'this' was used because the application was developed first on Apex 3.x

  This piece worked through the upgrade to 4.0.2 and it starts to play up only after this upgrade (to 4.2.6).

  I had followed the suggestions from the link you posted, made some changes and the flow is as follows:

  1, as well as the original

  2 as well as the original

  3. when the user clicks "OK" on the popup:

  i. an anonymous PLSQL block is executed in the backend, under process, like submit it: after calculations & Validations.

  II. the 2nd block PLSQL for close & redirect the page is now part of 'Branch of PL/SQL procedure' with branch point ' on Submit: after the treatment (after calculation, Validation and treatment). The PLSQL code is as follows:

  END;
  

  The behavior is always the same and seems not to have changed. I'm a little lost, try different options.

  I'll try to reproduce the scenario on apex.oracle.com and in the meantime of inputs/suggestions would be helpful.

• Error SMTP sending reports by e-mail - not you usual ACL question

  Recently, we changed our architecture around a bit of the APEX. Previously we used the Oracle HTTP server on the same host as the database. Now we pass the 'web' part of the APEX to another server using ADR with Apache TomCat. Under the old configuration, we have been able to send emails without any problem. However, when we try to do under the new configuration, we get the following SMTP error stack:

  ORA-29279: SMTP permanent error: 503 #5.3.3 AUTH is not available

  I would have thought that email would still go database server in the new configuration but, perhaps, it's fake.

  When configure you the new application server, you MUST have reconfigured APEX, correct?  So you can have the apex_mail settings not the same as the old installation.

• Not your usual recycle bin issue: Please help

  Hello

  After completing installation S10 - 3T the way I like it, I tried to remove some disk images large enough to the trash, as well as a few other files - about 12 concerts altogether.

  When I emptied the trash, I got a window saying that a file was too big for the architecture of files on this disc (or words to that effect).  I pressed OK, and I did not "delete items" window regular.  However, nothing happened.

  Files are moved from the trash, but my disc info showed no increase in free space.  The files are stll somewhere.

  I don't want to "restore" files - I want to just remove them permanently.  How can I follow the worms down?  I tried Disk Cleaner, but that has not kept the files.  Don't tell me I have to buy third party software to do this?

  I would appreciate any help on this mystery to help me get back the 12 concerts more or less space.

• Windows XP; Rec'd std windows explore window urging updated 21 FF w/link + buttons. not the usual style view, so has not clicked. is it legitimate?

  I run windows XP on PC. A window Explorer windows asking me to update Firefox 21 popped up. The window includes a link 'more info' and a 'remind me later' and 'install' button. Never seen this style of notification before anything so I clicked and rejected the window. Is this a legitimate firefox notification? Otherwise, what have I been invaded by, and how should I proceed?

• 'Word' is not as usual

  I never had no problem with Word, but, today, while finishing typing a doc. It will expose unusual behavior. Then I try to select text in 'bold' poles of slider, and then, when the text is finally ready, when I go to click on 'fat' the black nail either disappears into the search text or the whole page is covered. Periodically, the entire page is blocked

  There is a sense of urgency attached to my completing the typing of the document today, so I would be very grateful for any help supply.

  Most of the messages I find out there are regarding the download of files that have been previously added to the APEX, for example using WWV_FLOW_FILES. In my case, nothing has been uploaded.   First of all, concerning the use of a page element to store your data, you can run trouble, if the size of your data is greater than 32K - you may need to consider to explore an alternative method involving some LOBs (or equivalent).

  At a high enough level, you create a page process that will "print" data as a series of calls from htp.p. According to the following pseudocode:

• I fear there is a fake site looking exactly like Mozilla. He told me always up to date. Whenever something bad happened. I could not to Google.

  Over a period of several weeks, I get updates of Fire Fox download requests. The first time seemed strange, asked me to download 3 extra things, 1 toolbar, the other 2 I forgot. My computer developed so many problems, I had to spend 12 HOURS 6 Trojans and 1 worm the deletion from the register. Next time, I couldn't Google, spent hours to reinstall IE. The last time ruined G-Mail, IE spinning in circles, once again the relocation and restoration of the system. I've been clicking on which should show the origin of the update and a very authentic site resembling Mozilla rises. What I don't like is she insists to change my search engine default, among many other things. I tried to contact support and ask questions through it, but could not do empty to submit. I'm afraid to download more updates to Fire Fox. I had to spend hours on reinstalling, cleaning, etc. I finally had a white to submit a question and typed, basically, what I have here. When I submitted it, it disappeared, and the next page says "Service unavailable". The pages look very detailed and authentic, but I fear that someone has been able to duplicate a web page of Mozilla. To get here this time, I went to programs in the control panel and clicked on the hyperlink for the support. The page looks very much the same as another but the text in the windows of several (PC windows, etc.,) are darker and smaller. I think that I may need uninstall FireFox but don't know if I'll be able to download from the authentic site to reinstall.

  I don't know that this is not a large company. Like a lot of malicious Web sites to make themselves look official, but if you scroll to the bottom of the site or to read the warning, it is more likely, said the Web site is not affiliated with Mozilla. What they want to do you is to download their fake update installer. The update installer is actually a bundled Installer, which means that they put ads in the installer as optional software that actually does not come with the thing, the installer is supposed to be the installation. They earn advertising revenue from this. Do not trust everything that appears randomly inviting you to update something, if you browse a Web site. They are not hackers usually; they just want the money. I advise to download something of these Web sites or the other.

• When sending of e-mails from group, those who are 'xtra' addresses are not delivered.

  I send newsletters to many different people and have just discovered that all those whose 'xtra' e-mail addresses do not receive their newsletters, although everyone in the group.

  They do not receive the newsletter at all, as in not on either their primary address?
  Or they receive the newsletter on the main address, but not the additional address?
