not to receive incoming mail

Hello

One of my email accounts suddenly stopped to receive emails, but will always send. Behave the same on my laptop too. The other account works very well and had the accounts set up and work for 2 years.  It's windows live on pop accounts.

Help, please?

Ali.

Hi, I discovered what the problem was. This is because the server was full as the box "delete server" in the settings was not checked!

Thanks for your help though,

Alison.

  • Thunderbird 38.2.0 does not check for incoming mail, freezing

I used Thunderbird for years without problem. Update 38.2.0 was so bad for me that I had to uninstall it. Questions:

    (1) would not check for incoming mail
    (2) popped up the windows of information that had no text and even not closing "x" in the corner (although I could click the right superior whiteness and she closed)
    (3) screen would freeze. At least the closing 'x' still - working but it's the only thing that makes.

Every update I've ever had until this has been perfectly integrated. This one was painful.

My question is when there's an update to correct these problems?

Please update to version 38.3.0 which came out today. Will probably solve your problem.

    Is this better?

Try this. Assuming you use Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail. If you aren't the case, ignore this response.

Open Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail > tools > accounts > select your account of gwi > properties > servers.
    Under incoming mail server,.
If you have a " logon using clear text authentication " option, click it > click OK
If you do not, leave which are VIRGINS he. Do NOT check the "connect using secure password authentication"

  • BlackBerry Curve 9360 - BIS Gmail - smartphones not to receive e-mail

    Hello!

New owner of a bb, have not yet found the answer to my question on the forum.

I have a Curve 9360 with two email address of the BIS. A post of administrator and Gmail. It has worked well.

For 2 days, I get e-mails from Gmail by BIS and push. I can send email from Gmail, to receive and send professional emails. But I no longer receive Gmail emails.

I deleted the account. the setup of the account. Restarted several times, hard and soft boot. Remove the filters. Reconciliation is checked.

I have no more idea... I was weather wondering what might help: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/viewdocument.do?noCount=true&externalId=KB05010&sliceId=2&cm...

But I don't want to uninstall my professional email.

    Any help is welcome

    Happy Friday,

    Bastien.

Well... seems I finally understood why. The firewall is enabled for gmail. It works so that it was blocking all emails.

  • BlackBerry smartphones not to receive e-mail automatically

I am a new user... BB has the same e-mail address as desktop. All office emails automatically to my BB. I want to stop this automatic function and IF I want the emails to go to the BB then I turn it on. I read another post on the redirect but could not follow the steps.

is it possible to simply check email when I want?

    Andy

Ahhh... now we have the heart of the matter! GMail and the persistent problems with synchronization. See this article on the many possibilities of synchronization of different messaging services.

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB05133&SLIC...

Two of my BIS accounts are Gmail so and, Yes, if you remove in the client PC that he remove it from the BB. Boring. But there are remedies...

To stop completely to receive emails, go to settings > e-mail settings. If your GMail account is listed, highlight (but do not click) it. If, instead, you have a log on screen, connect to BIS using the credentials you need and then highlight your GMail account. Now click on the snowflake at the bottom of the screen. See the bottom? "When no filter?" Set to do not transfer. Save everything and you will only receive emails. When you want to once again, this time again and assign messages before. With this method, you will receive messages on the BB that while you had cut her off.

GOLD - you can stop data inside the connection management services. As long as you don't need data to all services, this will stop the flow. But once you restart the flow, you will receive all messages remain on the server of GMail (I know not if you have your Outlook client, remove them from the server or not).

GOLD - you can use the client Add on Gmail for BB. By using the web browser of storm, go to GMail and there should be a 'get gmail faster' or such a link. Click on it and install the client. Launch the client and configure it to your Gmail account. This customer will maintain a full emails on GMail sync so that when you delete in Outlook, it will remove your BB. The only downside here is that, when you send a message with the help of this module, you cannot attach a file to your e-mail. But, you could leave the BIS duct in place (with no transfer for BB)... If you need send an attached file, use the conduit of BIS.

Note that, if you had BES, these responses would have been significantly different. If all goes well, one of these solutions will give you what you are looking for.

Edit - all solutions depend on your Outlook client... If it's leaving messages on the server forever, so they come to the BB no matter what you do...

  • Mailing address: change the incoming mail server

My servers have changed and I need to add new servers to my Mail application, but I can't change the incoming mail server: the text in the incoming mail server field is light gray and I can't choose or change. I changed the outgoing mail server and I can now send emails, but reception does not work. The incoming mail server is online and it is the same as the outgoing e-mail server.

  • I have reset my yahoo on my iPad password. I do not receive yahoo mail on my Macbook. Help, please

My yahoo password has been reset on my phone. Yahoo mail not received the Mac Air. What should I do?

I won't change the password again. Thank you

    Hi audreyfromsparta,

Thanks for your question.  If you have changed the password for your Yahoo account on your iPhone, you must update the Yahoo account on your Mac with the same information.  First, check your Yahoo account online and make sure you can access your emails to Yahoo.com by using the new password.

If this is the case, then open the Mail on your Mac, choose Mail > Preferences, and then select your Yahoo account on the left.  Then, for both incoming and outgoing mail servers, clear points that lie in the password field and enter the new password you have created.

The resources below will provide some additional information.

If you cannot send or receive e-mail on your Mac.

    Take care

Windows XP SP3 - Outlook Express receives and sends messages, but do not delete received messages.  Can you help?

You have corruption of dbx files.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and move the messages you want to record off deleted items, and sent items. Locate the OE message store and then close OE.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the Deleted Items.dbx and Sent Items.dbx files and delete them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.

Compact all folders as described below.

To avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=903095

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

Well, you can't always believe them.  Try to remove your e-mail account, and then verify that you do not have interference antivirus (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3) then compact and repair the database of WinMail (www.oehelp.com/WMUTil/) and add your account back once again and see if that makes a difference.  Also, make sure that you are checking in not too often (like every 2 minutes) for mail (Tools |) Options).

  • Hotmail account: I can't receive e-mail from addresses that are not already in my contacts list

I can't receive e-mail from addresses that are not already in my contacts list, for example the library.  My account has been hacked recently, and I have informed Windows CE.  I then installed Avast security.  Since only known e-mail senders spend their emails.  Help, please.

    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

It seems that Avast is blocking messages from anyone not in your contacts list (much too tight fixed).  Disable the function of checking email and see if that solves the problem.  If so, run it without the option of e-mail enabled - it does not really help as long as you take normal precautions (as not to open attachments from people you don't know / trust and things like that).  If you don't know how to disable this feature, contact technical support Avast (I do not use the product so I don't know how, but it's probably under Options or something like that).  If this does not work, try to go to Microsoft Security Essentialshttp://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Microsoft-Security-Essentials-Download-131683.html where I know that this problem is not happen and see if that solved the problem.

    I hope this helps.
