Notepad opens off screen on the secondary monitor

Hello

Please bear with me as I'm NOT a Windows person - I usually run Macs. but I'm back to my parents and it's their Windows box.

They are running XP Home SP3. This problem affects all user accounts.

Basically they run a 2 monitor setup - a LCD, a somewhat old (although still perfectly!) Dell CRT reference. The question is about the latter.

Note, I asked my father and he assures me that no applications have been installed since he first noticed this problem. I tried to solve problems better than I can, but I don't have Macs, Windows!

Basically, the notebook want to open on the secondary monitor (running its native resolution of 1024 x 768) completely off the screen (to minimize it, maximize, and close buttons are unavailable). The only way I found to fix it is to reduce the resolution of 600 x 800 and then back to native, but he is a bit of a PITA bread as she has to do every time. As far as I know, the notebook is the only application affected and no new software--or drivers--have been installed since this question bagan occurring. Windows Update is configured to run automatically, even if I don't remember the last time she did it.

I'm sure there must be a quick solution, and easy for this question - if someone would just enlighten me as to what it could be!

Thank you very much

Sarah

Please bear with me as I'm NOT a Windows person.

And I'm not a person dual monitor, so I'm not positive that it works.

When Notepad opens, there will be a tab in the taskbar. Click on this and select move. Now, use the arrow keys to get to the screen. Close all other windows except this one and use the cursor to drag the message to the format full screen, or any size you want. File | Output and Windows expected to retain the size when you open it again.

Final Cut Pro isn't Premiere Pro and vice versa. If you see something you would like to see in Premiere Pro that existed in another application, you must file a feature request. I'm sorry.

Go to Preferences > playback and check the box for your second monitor under "Video device."

I like the idea, but sorry, there is no way to achieve this goal, unless you change your preferences. That said, you can create a custom keyboard shortcut to go directly to the reading preferences for a fast beat of the checkbox. Personally, I've adapted to work with the user interface on the monitor 1 and playback full screen to monitor 2.

When I open the program to the taskbar it shows as open. If I open multiple copies that all copies are shown as open - including those on separate windows. By clicking on a URL in a another program opens a window of Firefox, but it too is off the screen but displays in my taskbar as free, including the small icon showing what screens/windows are open. Note that this is version 6.0. Previous versions worked.

    Hello

The question is what that jack the external display supports?
I think that you can connect each external monitor, but you must be sure that the laptop will support the cable from the laptop.
In addition, the resolution of the screen may be different. As far as I can remember that some screen resolutions are not listed in the properties of the graphics card. But I think that you don't need to use the resolution of the screen exactly one.

I recommend taking the laptop at the dealership to monitor and its connection. You can check the output quality of monitor and what resolutions are available and taken care of. I think that testing before buying something are very useful.

  • Safari opens on the secondary monitor

I have two monitors 27 "and Safari insists on opening on the secondary monitor, no matter what I do. All this experience and have you been able to solve it?

Whenever it happened, it was because I dragged a window or a tab there.  At one point, I closed Safari.  Then when I opened it again, he would open the 2nd monitor.

    What I did:

When Safari opens on the screen 'wrong', enter a tab open and drag it to the other monitor, then let go.  You should have Safari open on both monitors.  You must also have a menu bar of Safari on both monitors.  Open the window on the monitor that you don't want Safari to open with.  The Menu, file, close this window (command-W).  You should now have that a single Safari window open on the monitor of your choice.  Go menu, Safari, quit Safari.  Then try to reopen the Safari.  It should open on the screen of your choice.

I can't find a setting for the default screen for Safari.

If this happens again, make sure the last window you are closing is on the screen of your choice.

I hope this helps!  Let us know...

If disable hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

  • Move the window off screen at the top

Title suggests, how can I do? I can move my windows off screen on the sides and at the bottom, but I can't top

    Thank you

    Hello

    Thanks for the update.

I'm really sorry to say this, but there is no option were you can resize your window (not resizable) at the top of the screen. You can move a resizable window to the right or the left by dragging the window to the left or right of your desktop.

There is another option were you can display multiple windows side by side as requires it.

    • Open all the windows and right click on the taskbar, select the option see the stacked windows or Show Windows side by side

See the link below to resize the window of windows 8, as suggested by Robert Aldwinckle

Yes, the image expands, but you have the Source and monitors shrunk very small sizes n the screen capture program.

Was the clip defined when you merged and exit points?

(By the way, my post request 3 was on target.)  The video is considerably shorter than the audio, which represents a large part of the black you would see in the Source monitor.)
