Notification of individual visitor

I feel stupid asking.  A sales representative will get instant notifications when a known individual (not a company) hits our website?  Not so interested to know that we see notifications of visitor to company.

Well Yes. Really easy to make. If you are an administrator go notifications specific reps, if not ask them to do by going to my settings. Setting up email is cool if they are known; It's easy, just set the profile email field and put in the email address of the person. The 2nd link Chris mentioned, describes all this and it's easy.

Another idea: you can add another quite alert with the data that you get a 1st warning;  using their captured data from ISPS and their Latitude and Longitude, then use 'AND' for logic. Might be good if the person clears their cache often. Maybe not so good, if it's a huge Office of many potential visitors so or if the person is the site from many different places. IP address can work if you look at the overview of the activity of the Contact persons and see that it's always the same IP address.

  • Effective implementations with Notifications of visitor

A Topliner has recently posted a question on 'DNS-based Vistor Notification alerts'.  It is similar to a question I had, although a bit more specific than the where I was headed.  Great suggestions on this post nevertheless.

My question is about creative uses for Notification alerts to visitors the deployment of sales teams focused on targeted accounts.  My first thoughts were to set up notifications for about 10 sales reps and accounts they cover.  Many of the accounts have 1. several scattered locations, 2. hierarchies of complex and 3 companies. standard, acceptable vaiations on behalf of the company.

In view of this and other less known problems, what is the best way to maximize the absorption of sales.  What are some creative uses visitor Notification alerts?  What are some quick wins, we can achieve without trying to be too large (too make) when it deployment?

    Hello J,

I suggest to use the 'Seller' field to segment your alerts. I expect a lot of segmentation that you describe is already in your CRM system, and if there are changes in the ownership of the account, that's where they occur. You can then push this value on to the Eloqua Contact record in the field of the same name and create your Notification alerts of visitor for each seller with a 'seller [his name] =' rule on the alert. I think it will be much easier than to try to reproduce the segementation in Eloqua using other fields.

If e-mail alerts are overwhelming, consider adding additional, tighter rules criteria or send a report by daily Insight e-mail instead.

  • sound notification for SMS no mail-is it possible?

    Hi all

I silenced my e-mail notifications. Too much. The flashing light is fine.  But I would like to receive a notifcation sound for text messages, which are more like phone calls, in my humble OPINION.

Is there a way to do this?

    TY much in advance.

You can silence notifications for individual applications.  Open the e-mail (Gmail), the menu tap application, settings and scroll down to notification settings and choose 'silent' ringing pull down.  If you have multiple Gmail accounts, make sure that you are on the correct account before making the change.  (Or make sure you change all.)

device driver Bluetooth for windows 7 64-bit sony vaio

    Please help me

    -Nicolas

After spending an obscene amount of time researching this Bluetooth stupid nonsense this week, I finally opted for a solution.

This is how to solve the "Bluetooth peripheral device is not a driver:
I use the following materials in a dozen different tests:
-Only for Broadcom based on USB from Belkin and Targus dongles
-Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on four different computers
-4 different Bluetooth headphones: Plantronics One, a matrix and two Motorola
-Bluetooth file transfer wasn't of interest, but I tested with two different phones
This guide will be useful for those with similar... hardware configurations and for those who have tried all the other nonsense without result.  Especially that many times repeated "Just install Windows Mobile Device Manager."
    -- -- --
Step 1: Ignore 99% of you think that you have learned about this problem.
It will be * probably * boil down to a missing COM port.
Step 2: Certainly ignore the bit about installing the Windows Mobile Device Center
(Unless you have a Windows Mobile-based phone and/or have another use for a flavor of Windows 7 of Activesync).
Step 3: Stop looking for a driver for something called a "Bluetooth device device.
There is no such thing. If you look at the Bluetooth installation take place, you will notice that all the components of the Bluetooth technology initially as "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" and then once Windows ID each element, the appropriate driver is installed and the name replaces "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" to something like "Hands-free Bluetooth Audio" or "Bluetooth Remote Control" etc.
    -- -- --
Unfortunately, most of the people reading this will have tried one or more of the following:
1.) install this stupid Windows Mobile Device Center
2.) install any number of drivers Bluetooth who-knows-what from who knows where
(3.) running all kinds of utilities third driver
4.), forcing several facilities from pilot to operate in Win98, XP or Vista
    5.) sacrificing countless animals
The end result is a plethora of useless software and/or driver and/or updates... facilities and some dead animals.

Instead, here is the solution.  I tested it with three different USB Dongles (2 Belkin and Targus 1) and on four different machines: HP, Sony, Toshiba and another HP. Two were newly not framed with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and two have been upgraded to Vista to the same OS.
With each machine, I plugged the following helmets: a legend of Voyager from Plantronics, Motorola S9, Motorola S805 and matrix AF62 and a Samsung S3 and an HTC Android.
So I guess it's fair to say that it is a solution for one of these dongles... but in reality, most based on Broadcomm USB dongles is affected. I ran across these stages in four different boxes after checking that the beast ""Bluetooth peripheral device is not a driver " "
    appeared during installation.
1.) If you did any of the unsuccessful steps mentioned above, enter the control panel and delete everything that you have installed.  Kill all the entries Broadcomm or Widcomm bluetooth. Delete all 3 rd-party driver maintenance apps. Restart a machine clean.
2.) locate and install a Broadcomm 6.0.1.6300 OR 6.2.1.500 driver.  Either one works, but the last (most recent) has much better management tools for Bluetooth device
.  I tested the installation of separately and also starting with 6.0.1.6300 and then upgrade to 6.2.1.500.
(Ignore the stupid Updater Driver Broadcomm they grow to their website - it is useless for the majority of us out there.)
(3.) that you install one of the above, you will see a notification regarding the installation of the various components.  Click this pop-up window and watch the progress.  You will see that each "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" Gets a new name, as the related driver is installed.  In my tens + tests, each & every item at this point got the green check mark of success.
4.) now attempt to pair the device of your choice
.  IF only the manufacturer provides separate drivers, do not install them again, regardless of their instructions.  See how Windows gets its own.
5.) as soon as the match starts, you will see more notifications for individual driver components.  Click on one of them and observe a similar progression... Except that you will have a ""Bluetooth Device device ' with the dreaded Red X and the complaint that no driver was found. "
    6.) do not despair
! This happens the first time connect you a new Bluetooth device.
7.) wait for the installation to complete.  Despite the dialog box display the list of components of Bluetooth with a red X, you probably have another window saying that the perfectly paired Bluetooth device.  But you and I know that he didn't. Confidently click to close this dialog box.
8.) open Device Manager (via the Control Panel, the computer properties), and you will discover that cursed Device Bluetooth that is sitting there in the Middle under 'other devices '.
9.) right click on the Bluetooth device with the yellow exclamation mark under 'Other devices' and select 'Update Driver' - then:

(c.) in the common hardware types list, select:

d.) d.) under manufacturer, select Microsoft
e.) depending on the model, choose "Standard Serial over Bluetooth Link" & click "next".
f.) when you are prompted with the update driver warning, click 'yes '.
g.) with joy to read the message that "Windows has updated the driver software.
(h.) read for pleasure, and then click "close".
(i.) to confirm that this disorder is really fixed (assuming compatible devices, etc.) Right-click on the Bluetooth device and choose "Troubleshoot" - that there should be no reported problem.
10.) you shouldn't have to restart, but you POURRIEZ have need spend the power of your Bluetooth device Off & turn it on again to let it reconnect again (just NOT re-pair... re - connect). About a dozen tests, I had only to do once, and it was with a 3-year-old-Bluetooth headset.

  • Server of telepresence to the screen indicators

Is it possible to disable the screen indicators (as "icon display when participants are not encrypted" or "Indicate the presence of other participants") on a basis by conference, rather than in the world?  It would be for mode managed locally or remotely.

    Thanks, Mike

It is not possible to disable OSD icons/notifications for a locally managed telepresence server, because they are global settings that affect all conferences and calls.  However, for a telepresence server managed remotely using a conductor, you can disable the OSD icons/notifications for individual conferences using custom settings in the advanced settings of the Conference model, see below for an example.

    {"callAttributes":{"indicateUnencryptedParticipants":false,"indicateAudioOnlyParticipants":false}}
The string above will disable encryption and participating overflow icons, refer to the section "callAttributes" in TelePresence Server API Guides for other possible attributes which may can be disabled.

  • 3rd party Cookies will disappear with IE9 and Firefox 4? Impact on Marketing Automation?

People, was curious to know how other people are considering (or have thoughts) all about losing third-party tracking with more recent browsers cookie?

Looks like this could be very disruptive for all providers of marketing automation, or at least some sort of a switch to a party cookie should be first tracking system. If I read correctly, those systems it will be progressive, profiling, some stats CTR and certainly notification Web site visitor would be affected.

    More info here: http://paidcontent.org/article/419-mozilla-ceo-do-not-track-option-will-be-in-firefox-4/

    Thoughts?

With the Firefox solution, we do nothing, since it requires their header and sites to work together. The challenge with Firefox and their solution is that the addition as a header-not-track, is that it requires browsers and sites to implement it to be fully effective. In other words, you can set the-no-track disengage all you like to feature in your Firefox browser, but if Web sites that track chooses to ignore the header-no-trail of Mozilla it will not do anything good. We are not ignoring the issue of Firefox, but believe that their solution is not one that will provide the appropriate consumer control.

Regarding IE, they will be using a local list that the user must fill with sites that they do not want to be tracked on. There is not much we can do about that the consumer has the choice already today to block ALL cookies regardless of the type of part. This feature gives just more detailed control to the consumer at the level of the web address vs just block all third party cookies.

We tested 'keep my Op-out Google' and it does not affect email and web click followed. It is only monitoring online ads.

Finally, we are looking at or not stay with third-party cookie tracking or move to the first party. You can imagine my choice but there will be a huge change in how customers work must pass if we choose one over the other. More to come as soon as this.

  • How to start Alerts notification to visitors using the DNS and IP society?

    1. I need to configure alerts for notification of visitor using the society of DNS and IP? How to do this?

2 - second thing is what is the common use of DNS and IP society in the fields of account?

    Thank you

    Nabila,

It is largely something E9 - the notification feature a much simpler with Profiler (Yes, there is a separate fee)

without prospect Profiler: (I think I have the actual documentation at my office - will check once I'm back from #mme15 )

    1. go to settings, profiles of visitors, then change your display to show the fields you want to see.  Since you ask specifically about DNS and IP address, the view of the "technical information" is a good starting point.

    2. go into Setup and default user settings for users, configurations of Notification to visitors.  You can use the default or create new (lower right corner)

Specify the view you want to use.  You can also create a custom for this notification by electronic mail header.

    3. go to settings, Notifications

    Configure your notification rules.

for your second question - common use of DNS and IP name in the account fields, I don't think that there is a "common use" since the visitor record will show exactly the IP address and most organizations have a range of IP addresses, any sort of comparison of the visitor to the account is difficult.

If your use case must match their account of visitors, e-mail domain is much easier.  Create a field on the Contact and account for the 'area of email address', a string manipulation cloud app to take the email address and delete everything before him ' @' accounts will be filled with the domain via a data load (or you can approach with a rule/validation rule set update to the name of the company (, remove the spaces and special characters and add with ".com")

You could then: linking contacts to accounts using this field (will need to ensure that duplicate any record company) or use a rule of Match/deduplication to enter the values for the table of the company to update the contact. (or vice versa)

    I hope this helps.

  • The company's DNS-based visitor Notification alerts

Does anyone have experience with the implementation of visitor Notification alerts based on DNS of the company? I am trying to gather any intel competition by visiting our site. It seems simple enough to do; is it really as easy as it sounds? What should be the comparator syntax?  (*. company.com)?

    Hi Bray,

It seems that you have the general idea down.  I suggest using something in the sense of * companyname *. Using a comparison of this kind is contains the equivalent of saying (IE, * eloqua * = contains eloqua).  If the name of the company contains multiple words, I suggest you break each keyword with a * between them (* this * company * has * a * long * name *).  In doing so, it allows the notification account of hyphens, periods, or any other kind of potential characters you may encounter between the keywords.

    I hope this helps.
