Notification regulations 'spam' iMessage

Hello, I have a few friends who have this habit extremely annoying to send 10 messages back to back rather than write a large message, I have sometimes 10 + messages from them and that they are half sentences. I asked one of my friends to stop this and she was instantly angry. So, rather than start an argument with other friends, I was wondering if there is an option that only the first message sends a notification if there is less than 5 minutes between messages from the same person.

y at - it such an option? or y at - it another way to deal with this problem?

in my case, it's sometimes worse still, I have 3 2 macs and iOS devices that all receive a notification and I want to be notified but not 10 times by the same person within 3 minutes

No, there is no option.  Once a sender press 'Send' discreet message is processed and sent to the recipients. And each iDevice recipients records each as a separate message.  The system is not set up to monitor the address from a specific sender for any period of time or to make decisions to keep or could not deliver a message.

I created an email unique iCloud for my new iPhone SE. I've never used this email address anywhere except iTunes and the App Store installation. I use Apple Mail on my iPhone to retrieve the email for the account and never get any email to this account because I don't use it actively with the exception of the registration of Apple.

I put it in place in iMessage and my phone number. I have never sent or received an iMessage using only my phone number ID.

How is it possible to get Ray Ban sunglasses spam to my iMessages in these circumstances?  I have long been reluctant to get into the Apple ecosystem, but was convinced to do so by a friend. I had a Samsung before that and never once had SMS spam. Now I'm with Apple almost 3 weeks and I'm iMessage spam that appears to come through my Apple ID associated email.

I am a very private person and feel somehow I had my privacy violated and worries me also pay Apple which I've also put in place related to my new Apple ID.

I see a lot of complaints on the internet about spam iMessage. Given that I've been things carefully implemented and have used this email with Apple and it of their iCloud, can someone explain to me what's happened and if I had my information compromised?

    Thank you

Messages of spam of all kinds are sent to hundreds of thousands of all the days of phones. Spammers don't care even if it is a valid number. Messages eventually went to a hundred random numbers at a time. Your number just happened to be one of these random numbers. Just delete the message and never interact with these spam messages.

  • There is a real chance to recover a stolen IPhone 6?

    Hello world!

This is my first question here. All first please don't excuse my writing, I m of the Germany and so I m no native English speaker.

A couple of weeks, someone stole the 6s nine of my wife.

She tried to follow a few moments later, but the phone was already off.

Since then, the phone was not online more. It has been marked as lost or stolen and the police were informed.

The day before yesterday that I got 2 fake SMS messages. They looked on first sight like messages from Apple.

The text is so similar to Apple: iPhone has been located to... Please login to iCloud with your credentials.

There was also a web link in the two messages:

    www.apple.com.Ir1.at/?r=9b3b9 & S2

Because of this strange link and bad German grammar, I know that this may not be a site of Apple.

Checked with a PC via the VPN tunnel, but I typed the link just to the ".at".

The site looked exactly like an Apple site and all links open the true Apple of the Romania site.

I did not sign in and in the meantime, the site is unavailable. Maybe Apple is involved because I noticed them about the phishing attack.

    My question is:

Someone knows my cell phone number and the name of my wives ICloud ID. How is that possible?

The police are not interested to know whence came the messages of theses.

Today, I reset my own 6plus, just to check if it is possible to use it when it was stolen. Fortunately, it is not.

Is it possible to get it back? No person shall use t, so there is no need for them.

You are right does not connect to this site.

    These links may be useful:

    Apple product lost or stolen.

The text you received was a phishing scam:

    Avoid Phishing scams.

You can report it to Apple (if it was an iMessage), or your carrier (if it was an SMS):

Dealing with spam, iMessage, SMS or phone calls.

(Note that I am not affiliated with this site, and some pages contain ads).

As to how they knew that the Apple ID, they try to disable find my iPhone. When they go to the iCloud menu in the settings, the Apple ID is listed there. They sent you this message to try to get your password so it could disable find my iPhone lock Activation.

Wow... I can't believe that the police are not interested to help you find the source of the messages. If we tell them that the phone number, it should be very easy for them to track its origin.

  • No iMessage Notification on 7 iOS10/iPhone?

I just bought the iPhone 7 and thought I missed my iMessage notifications or glanced at them.

Turns, I have not received notifications of all... the other apps iMessage I will continue to receive notifications but iMessage is disabled despite the attempt to hard reset, make changes on the settings that others have tried... I continue to receive notifications on other applications without problem, therefore turn off iMessage, until it is fixed or corrected

Has anyone seen all the patches that work, or does Apple have indication when they provide an update to fix this error

Hey there. I seem to be in the same situation as you are. I worked through the issue for the last 20 minutes with a friend, and I was wondering if you happened to run a Mac that has been upgraded to Mac OS Sierra as well.

I went through a bit of a process of elimination. I rebooted my iPhone 7 more, restarted my iPad Pro and rebooted my Mac, and then began to close the other devices one by one.

Turns out that when my iMac with Sierra installed was on, this is when my iPhone Plus 7 missing notifications.

That said, you are using a Mac with Sierra?

iOS has showed incoming messages and allowed to interact with them.

on the other hand iOS 10 warns not the new iMessages, as widget or through sound.

    2. Drag the slider to turn off your device completely off.
    3. Once the device turns off, press and hold the sleep/wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

After you test this point again, if he continues to be that we suggest to check the Notifications settings to ensure that they are properly enabled for your phone. Use the section titled "Change the alerts styles and notifications settings" here:

Use the Notifications on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

If the problem persists, the next option would be to reset all settings. It takes all the defaults, including passwords and Wi - Fi networks, alerts, notifications, brightness, wallpaper and sounds. This will remove also cards Pay of Apple. Even if no content is lost with this step, it is always a good idea to back up first. If you do not have a recent backup, follow the steps in the link below

  • questions about iOS 10 SMS and iMessage notification

    Hi all

Having some problems with the SMS and iMessage notification since the upgrade to iOS 10. The problem is that sometimes there is no noise or vibration or anything like that when I get a message. I will just have to pick up the phone and there is a banner on the lock screen. And until someone asks, it isn't that I was away from the phone, or I didn't hear it go off... there was just no notification. It's as if the phone was in DND (which it was not).

The other thing is, I NEVER receive a notification when I am sent an iMessage from a sender that is the only email address (like an iPad wifi only). In this situation, my phone never plays a sound never vibrates... you open the lock screen, but there's a new banner of message sitting there... as I said before - just as the phone is in DND... which is not.

This problem happens on mine and my wife's phone. For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Here is an update. I think I can find a solution to the problem. I used to have my "send and receive" in the messages app implemented with my phone number and checked e-mail address. I have deselected the e-mail address and have now received a notifcation for every message I've received so far. The sample size is a bit small at the moment but before this change, it is 50-50 at best.

  • iMessage Notifications stopped working

iMessage Notifications (badge, banner, and sound) ceased to work on iPhone 6 (IOS 9.3.2) but works on iPad Pro 9.7 "(IOS 9.3.1) time using the same Apple ID."   It is a new and started last week.  The only change to our Apple devices is an older iPad using the same identifier Apple was removed and reset and is now associated with a different ID to Apple.  I have confirmed that are Notifications for iMessage on the iPhone and nothing is blocked.     Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

The movement with the older iPad shouldn't affect it

On the iPhone hit - make sure you please do not disturb is not lit - indicated by the presence of a Crescent Moon in row of upper right icons

    If it's not-

Turn off iMessage in settings-> Messages

    Sign up for iPhone

    Disconnect from the iCloud

Do a forced reboot - after all open applications using the app Chooser - invoked by fast double pressing the home button and drag upwards on each app until it disappears from the screen.

Meet the sleep/wake and home buttons down until you see the logo  - then release and allow normal start upward

    Then sign in all

  • Don't want notifications on my MacBook Pro iMessages

I use my iPhone and my MacBook to send messages through iMessage, but I don't want to receive notifications that come in the top right corner on my MacBook.  Is there a way prevent the notifications, but always return iMessage messages?

    Yes

    On the Mac

     - system Preferences - Notifications - iMessage - OFF toggle

  • notification of iMessage on Mac displaying the phone number, not name

Only, I imported my contacts from my phone to my Macbook Air, but whenever I get a notification of text at the top right of my screen, it shows the phone number, not the name of the contact. Once I go into iMessage, the name is displayed. That's all just annoying that I don't know who texted me until I actually open iMessage. iCloud is enabled for my Mac and my iPhone.

Check system preferences > Notifications > view Message

  • notification of IMessage on apple store

I recently ordered earpieces. I got iMessage shipping information.  I don't want to stop these notifications to store, how can I do.  Support has been disabled

  • How to disable the notification Center iMessages

I want to disable iMessages in the notification Center. How can I do this?

OS X Yosemite: turn off notifications

  • Disable iMessage app (Mac) when I hit iMessages on iPhone (El Capitan - Notifications fix does not work)

I think that this question is a little different from the others posted. I am not connected to iMessage on my phone. I think my MacBook is my Apple ID associated with it, but I've not logged in the App, and I already turned off all the boxes of banners/badges/alerts and unchecked everything in system preferences > Notifications menu.

However, the question that I find annoying, everytime I go to iMessage on my iPhone application appears at the bottom of the screen on my Mac, even if I am not logged in. Exit iMessage on my iPhone and it disappears on my Mac. There is nothing in common with my Mac, but its boring whenever I'm Messaging on my iPhone application appears on my MacBook, and I watch my Mac to see whats moving on the screen but its just letting me know that I have the app open on my iPhone iMessage. Does anyone know how to disable this feature?

I just want it to be completely gone and not follow when I open the iMessage app on my iPhone. Does anyone know how to do this?

    Thank you!

    Hi James b. Moore,.

If I understand your question, whenever you use the Messages app on your iPhone, you will see it appear on your Mac and you do not want the application on your computer, right?

Looks like you have the characteristics of continuity enabled on your Mac.  The resources below will explain how to disable features such as transfer to separate the activities of your Mac and iPhone.

Continuity of use to connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Mac

    Transfer procedure

With the transfer process, you can start a document by e-mail or message on a device and pick up where you left from another device. Transfer works with applications Apple such as Mail, Safari, maps, Messages, reminders, calendar, Contacts, Pages, Numbers and Keynote. Some third-party applications are also compatible.

    Disable the transfer procedure

If you want to disable the transfer on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, go to settings > general > Handoff & suggested Apps. Can disable Handoff.

On your Mac, go in system of preferences > General. Can uncheck the setting allow Handoff.

With continuity, all SMS and MMS text messages that you send and receive on your iPhone may also appear on your Mac, iPad, and iPod touch. You can also meet your contacts from any device is closer to you, including your iPad or Mac.

You can start a conversation in the Messages application or click on a phone number in Safari, Contacts, or calendar.

Set up SMS and MMS with continuity

    1. You need to iOS 8 or later version on your device iOS and OS X Yosemite or later version on your Mac.
    2. Connect to the iMessage with the same Apple ID on your iPhone, your other iOS devicesand your Mac.
    3. On your iPhone, go to settings > Messages > Send and receive. Add a control to both your phone number and email address. Then go to settings > Messages > text Message Forwarding and turn on the device or devices that you want to transfer the messages.  (Disable this function if you want no messages will appear on your Mac.)
    4. Looking for a code on the Mac, iPad, or iPod touch that you enabled. Then enter this code to check on your iPhone.

    Take care
